I remember when we signed John Macnamee. Our defence was poor, he came in and showed our youngsters how to defend. Our results improved no-end.
And scored from 40 yards.

I am not bothered who we sign, as long as we start winning games.
The two are often connected.

With our current injuries I think he will come straight into a back three. Who plays at wing back is of course an issue. Will JRC move into midfield to take AW's role? As for the left side, god knows? I'd spend the whole game putting the ball into the space between Wharton and the touchline if I was an opposition manager.

There is a very long list of crap players bought under John Williams and Jack. Rev neatly overlooks that in his blathering about GB.

Broughton said they are going to retire Wharton's shirt number
If true, ridiculous.

I think that update is from last night. Its since been suggested that Sheffield Wednesday have bid slightly more but that neither bid has been accepted.
Is his mum following the Owls?

How do I mute Rev?
I did it years ago, but his re-quotes still appear.

Give it a rest Rev. We know what you think about GB and Sam G.

Had an idea.
Instead of selling every youngster worth anything at the drop of a hat, why not keep hold of them for as long as possible, they would give us a better chance of reaching the PL - then we could keep them and even add to them with even better players?
How does that plan compare to the plan since JW died?
We sold all our best players under Jack and hired a crap manager, hence the relegation. We also hired Paul Ince under the rightly respected John Williams. This lot of course are on another planet.

Worth noting that Elliot Jackson says in today's LT podcast that JDT told him that if Wharton was to leave he would be loaned back to the club. Seems that won't happen. Surely JDT will now require an additional midfield player.

Adam knows the financial situation and probably feels some burden to leave and alleviate it. If you honestly believe that the money from Palace will be invested in the playing side then you must have been asleep for thirteen years. The wages can be paid now without approval from an Indian judge, the lights can stay on and the milkman paid.
As the club set out in their recent announcement I guess.

We had no choice. Felt the same when Tony Field left.

It's possible that Wharton money has given us better centre half options. Then again.

Loved the older Rovers' fan giving the camera the middle finger after our second goal.

Has Garrett played full back before?

Part 2 of Adam Wharton's medical is likely to be complete in the next few hours & that can go through. McFadzean deal first reported by
will be done today. The McGuire one more complicated with interest from other clubs.
