  1. Bit of a wobble last couple weeks for Accy but think there are far enough in front to still get promoted.
  2. Utd take a 2-1 lead Arsenal 5 -0 up Sunderland have equilized
  3. Gerry Armstrong is good on Sky's Spanish football coverage prob because he did play over there.
  4. It was not so long ago that Sam was questioning why Nolan wasnt considered for a England call up so he would be a bit of a hypocrite if he didnt call him up for England. Every England manager has their favourites, Sven always sticks by Hargreaves and the only decent thing he ever did was injure Diseler in a German match recently.
  5. Not sure if it is the patch but getting more interference from chairman about buying players, I know that sometimes chairman would make a positive comment if you made a bid for a top player. But now I'm getting the chairman saying that a player is not high profile enough everytime I make a bid , I bid for Ronaldihino who is now 32 in my game and my chairman said he wasnt high profile enough for the club.
  6. Out of the list I picked O' Neil, great motivator and has had success at Leicester and Celtic. Also remember you people picking Big Sam that means that Kevin Davies and Kevin Nolan would be in the England squad.
  7. Your welcome, I'm not really bothered about how he played for Wales, would rather he played crap for them and was fit to play on Sunday, than he played well and got injured.
  8. What a result we never do it the easy way and have to put supporters through hell before the final whistle, well done to the crowd for keeping the ball when it went out, which frustrated Man U even more, also why didnt Van Dar sar get booked for going into the crowd to get the ball.
  9. Short sent off and Beckham scoring a free kick while Short was still walking off the pitch
  10. Steve Mclaren has just signed a new contract with Boro so thats him out the running (phew)
  11. Bellers and Dickov sorely missed tonight, have to laugh at Fergie and players on how pleased they are to reach the final in a competition that they don't usually care about and only making a go of it this season as they will nothing else. C'MON WIGAN
  12. Petter on for Tugay Horseface off for them replaced by Vidic lets hope he makes a mistake
  13. Wasnt Howard Wilkinson the last english manger to win the league championship with Leeds, that was before the creation of the premiership.
  14. Arsenal just had a penalty saved by Pollitt, come on Wigan lets have a North West final (Rovers vs Wigan I mean)
  15. I see the Arsenal are going for it tonight, a very strong side to face Wigan Thierry Henry playing his first league cup game in 6 years.
  16. Well the press or the gutter end of it anyway have got what they wanted, The NOTW will already be be pushing names forward of who will be the next England manger and as quick as they are doing that they will also be getting ready to pounce on any failures that the new manger has. If the FA decide that want an englishman to do the job then they are going to find their options limited. Favourite is Sam Allardyce 5/2 Strengths: Able to get the best out of players who have lost their way and can operate on a small budget, neither of these really needed to coach/manage England. Success: Brought Bolton back into the Premiership and over the seasons has turned them from relagation scrappers to a team that has qualified for Europe, also got to final of League Cup. Has started to turn Bolton into the new Wimbledon, if he does get job put a £10 on Kevin Davies being in first squad. Steve Mclaren. 7/2 Strengths: Svens assistant manger, thats all I can think of. Success. Has spent a fair bit of money turning Boro into a team fighting relegation. Did win the League cup and had a good run in Uefa cup last season. Alan Curbishley. 3/1 Strengths: Ability to keep a Charlton mid table, without the worry of going into a relagation fight or climbing into a euro place. Success: See Above. Stuart Pearce 12/1 Strengths: Passionate englishman who manges like he usued to play. Success: Took over Man City last season and is turning them into a good solid team, Pearce has alreadysaid he is not experienced enough to take the England job yet. Paul Jewell: 20/1 Has done well this season with Wigan and has not spent a lot of money in doing it, but too early in his career to considered. and finally Alan Shearer 66/1 Is Finishing his playing career at the end of the season and will be available, but question is can he do the England and Newcastle jobs together.
  17. Think you need to be careful with your language on this messageboard
  18. Whenever a new England manger is announced by the FA ,certain parts of the press start to work out how they can slag him and get him out of the job, Bobby Robson was targeted by the press as was Venables and now Sven gets the treatment, I don't give a toss who he's shagging but if he gets results on the pitch then that what matters. After the 5-1 win over Germany he was a hero now the gutter press just want to put him in a bad light, if I was offered better pay for the same job that I was doing then I would take it as anybody else on here would.
