Come on mowbray, use your liverpool links to conjure up a loan deal for minamino for 6 months ……
Is this a hint? 👀

I don't understand the scramble for Maja. Yeah, he's a decent player but he's not played footballer proper for months. We need someone that can hit the ground running - not someone that won't play till March/April. Just my opinion, obviously.
I do think there will be someone that we've not thought of that may come in. Hoping to be pleasantly surprised.

He has now tweeted that Rovers and Swansea have stepped up the chase for O'Riley
Iv read that Swansea need to move players on before they can try bring him in .They lost a wage yesterday after Bidwell joined Coventry
He's usually spot on with his info.
Be a great signing if true!

No real words to describe this shambles of a window (if it stays like this).
All of these wingers being brought in to play false 9 makes me angrier than it should. Mowbray hoping at least one of these players comes good but it shouldn’t come down to this.
where’s the forward planning?

Personally I'd like to see Gallagher try playing the Frank Lampard position in midfield. I know they're chalk and cheese but he has the engine and likes to graft, he's a striker by trade so should have goals in him from midfield. Frees up a position for the new guy. Bit of lateral thinking, could be worth a punt. What do you think?
Would usually get on board with something like this. However, Gallagher has the touch of a bouncy castle and the footballing intelligence of a nat so it's a big no from me.
We could try him up front though, in the middle. You know, in his actual position? Would probably do okay there.

Says in the LT that Khadra has a slight injury too.
Course he does!
Glad Armstrong is being sorted out sooner rather than later.

Seeing people on Twitter claiming Armstrong to Palace is a done deal. That’s a new one! Hopefully there’s a bidding war. We’ve got to pay our floodlight bill.

Reach got a 3 year deal at West Brom
Would have been happy to see him come in but not on a 3 year contract
3 years? Madness. If WBA get promoted he won’t be staying - average player.
Glad he didn’t come in on a 3 year deal.

I'm going to predict nobody signs today.
Seems far more sensible than J*B's prediction.
Said this many times on twitter but we are an absolute joke club at the moment. To be in the position we are is an absolute embarrassment.
Loaning other clubs youngsters is so counter productive too. Unless you're loaning an Elliot we should be playing our own youngsters. Time to look after our own investments. What's supposed to be our model again?- 1

Genuinely don't know anything about that 'thingy'. I've never boycotted. First match I went to was in 1960, never deliberately missed a home game since.
Doesn't make me a better fan than anyone else but it gives me a perspective.
No bad owners, crap managers or anything else within the club is going to drive me away, it's my club, it's your club. One day they will be gone, God willing I'll still be here.
If the club has been driven out of existence through lack of support (no matter how noble and righteous the excuse/rationale) then that's our fault no one else's. My post was a plea for that not to happen.
Mock away, you're not going to change my opinion.
Think they mean this.
Anyway, back to transfers. Hoping we at least do something within the next week. Goes without saying but it's pretty alarming we've had no real links to anyone. Silence is deafening.

Owners who continue to put in 20 million per season. Any owners we are missing, who would do that without question. Man United? No they are taking money out and leveraging the club. Newcastle? Er not so much.
IMHO we will sell Armstrong, keep some back for players, and if we start badly Mowbray will be off.
New season, crowds back. Different ball game.
i never thought i would be writing this but then I never thought i would be saying Raheem Sterling is my hero.
Crowds back?

Not logged on for a while but good to see we've made our first signing early for once.
What position does this lad, Data play?

I’ve had a bit of time off the forum - for my sanity mainly 😅
Things haven’t been good enough on the pitch for weeks now and I am hooping Tony can turn it around as I don’t see him going.
Team for today would be:
Kaminski
Nyambe Lenihan Mr Miyagi Douglas
Travis Rothwell Davenport
Elliot Armstrong Dolan
Rothwell is miles more effective playing in the middle, Tony needs to stop sticking him out wide again. Brereton hasn’t been the same since his injury so he should sit this one out! Dolan deserves a start in my opinion

Can see us putting 4 past these. This could end up like Wycombe but Preston look even worse
-
Credit to Gallagher there. Had a good half and that run was superb.
The player that got sent off was utter garbage haha

Credit where credit is due for Gallagher there

Really? You think he's been better than 6/10 in any game?
He's so slow and that kills us. We score goals when we move the ball quickly, not taking four touches to knock it 10 yards sideways.
He’s looked slow today but they all have. Everyone looks off the pace

I like Trybull. But he is being completely misused here.
Let him sit in midfield or get him off quick.
I'd have elliott as rcm. And bring on another attacker
Yeah, agree with this! Play him in his natural position or take him off. Playing him here will quickly make him a scapegoat to the fans - can already see it happening on this very thread

Sure, but he's missed more than he's made since he got here.
That’s just untrue. Not playing well today? Yes. Played well in his other games prior to this? Yes.

Just now, New Jeru said:
What are his strengths?
He can't pass and has no vision for forward runs, so you'd think he might be a decent defender, but he just started the second half by letting someone step past him like he was a training cone.
Nobody missed a tackle before?

Buckley should be Holtby's understudy. Otherwise why isn't he out on loan?
Well, he should be out on loan because he’s not good enough for us.
Doesn’t have the work rate or the strength for this division.
-
I don’t think it’s so much Trybull’s fault he’s not having a good game. He’s being asked to play a role that doesn’t suit his strengths at all / isn’t where he plays.
Either swap him with BJ or take him off. But I won’t say he’s rubbish because it’s classic Mowbray playing players out of position!
Without Holtby we need Elliot in CM with Rothwell and one of BJ and Trybull

All of our back 4 are academy graduates? That’s nice.

Love this ‘as long as the fee is met, he’ll go’ line. Literally like everyone in world football.
Everyone has a price. And the whole concept of buying players revolves around the fee being met.
If he goes to Bournemouth/wants out to go there and has faked this back injury then he’s a big snake. (And stupid as he can wait until summer and maybe go to a team in the Prem).
If he leaves for a Premier League team, fair enough. But don’t be a prick about it
