Undisputedly a brilliant transfer window, with barely a few million spent.

Many would've laughed at someone for suggesting we'd get this quality in. Have to say, we've done excellent if it ends up like this! Struck lucky with Dolan I feel but will obviously take that :D

Don't think this is fair. Mowbray has played this very aggressive formation since the start of the season, and once Travis got injured he was happy to proceed with a Holtby, Johnson and Rothwell combo. Don't see why he will change that and become more conservative. I'll very surprised if Buckley does not start.

Not being harsh on Mowbray. How many games has Buckley started and how many games has Evans started? I think it's a no brainer the other way that Evans will start above Buckley. I'm not saying I agree with the decision but I am just saying he will prefer him. Hope I am wrong

I'd go with Buckley instead of Evans but TM will probably start with Evans if he is fit

Got to be Buckley in the Holtby role. He deserves a crack in his absence. Evans will probably be out with a sniffle or something tomorrow anyway.

I'd go with Buckley too but I doubt Mowbray will start him. He'll cop out and do the 'safe' thing unless Evans is out injured with a plucked eyebrow.

Where do you fit Holtby, Dack, Travis and Whiteman into a midfield three without feeling like your not utilising one of them? Not forgetting Bradley Johnson’s great start to the season too.

I like Whiteman and he’d be a good investment especially with Trav injured, just don’t know how we’ll line up

I would imagine Dack and Rothwell would rotate in the 3 attacking positions too. I also think Holtby won't play every game and same with Johnson so the numbers are needed.

I know consistency is key when it comes to a line up but if we want to be serious about play offs we need to have good depth and quality in that depth. Luckily for me, I don't have to make the call on who plays.

For example, when Holtby plays I would play Dack further up. When he doesn't, I would play Dack in the midfield 3? Just an option but could see that working. I would probably play Travis and Whiteman together at all times (if he signs) unless one get's injured but then you have BJ or Rothwell to come in for either of those if needs be. Buckley I would use off the bench as he's been quite effective doing that. We're in a nice position where Rothwell can play further forward too but obviously he is lacking in the goals/assists department.

Does Whiteman play with Travis if they’re both fit, or is he too defensive to play the both of them?

They should both be playing. The thought of Travis, Dack, Holtby, Whiteman, Rothwell and Johnson as our options in midfield has me salivating. Throw Buckley in the mix too - excellent. (Evans can go)

    Fair play Ruaney

I’ve not renewed, I don’t particularly enjoy watching on a delayed stream but may buy the odd match pass

Hope my seat is free next season, will review options then if not

Neither do I if I am honest but I always talk myself into buying the games on a Saturday anyway so i'll save money this way I think. Plus the pull of me keeping my seat I have had for 20 years played a big part too! Just bittersweet knowing I'm paying over the odds for a lacklustre service.

  7. Still having a dilemma about this season ticket. I think I have until today to claim my current seat or risk losing it next season. Yeah, I know that only 2000 people have bought them so far and it's unlikely to result in me losing my seat but they kinda have us over a barrel with that. I really don't know wether I can / should be pumping £400 into a club when I don't know if I'll even get in the ground this year.

I have some people saying 'It'll be fans like you to blame if the club goes under' which I think is very harsh considering the lack of empathy from the board. Double that up with the continuos money they stumped up to Hart/Smallwood/Samuel/Graham when they didn't need to whilst upping the cost to fans in the most working class area in the North West. It's very hard for me to decide. Swag has literally booted every Rovers supporter in the face and then held his hands out begging.

I don't need to understand finance to know your full of rubbish.

From the days of your bookie telling you we were selling one of our starlets(Raya before he became a regular)to West Ham for 4 million, to Your contacts hearing Venkys are selling up,you hearing that Rhodes very close to joining Bolton then Wigan, every window coming on here with your doom and financial expertise informing us all that a fire sale will happen only for it to never happen.I can go on or is that enough of me repeating your knowledge that never ever happens?

We will not make a big sale this window and savings of 10-20 million won't be saved. How much you want to bet?

    Wait. You've cracked it!

To be honest a sale now would not surprise me as would no more signings.

We have to remember, we have sold just over 1,200 season tickets so far, with this mornings announcement that the new rules will be in place for 6 months, fans won't be in a stadium till next April at the earliest, so we are facing no more season ticket sales.

As of right now, Venky's are probably being told they need to put in around £25-35m cash to keep the club as a going concern and complete the season (which is up £10m on what they would have expected to inject up to now). How some of the lower league clubs without very rich owners are staying afloat I have no idea.

We can safely say that FFP for all clubs is out of the window as i think Government bailouts and owner bailouts will be required for a lot of clubs even those in the Premier League.

It's not so much us rejecting bids because I don't think we would. I just don't think anyone will want to buy Armstrong for what we would want for him and Travis/Dack because they're injured.

Nobody is else is worth 10m+ in my opinion.

    I'm not that feckin old!

Look, if I hear something I post it along with names like Michel the French goalie (posted weeks ago and then Sharpe in LT mentioned) and Juklerod (posted yesterday).

I think Rovers' transfer 'policy'- if you can call it that- is all over the place and I very much doubt even Mowbray knows what will happen when he walks into 'the building' each day.  IMO, there will be one 'big' departure before the window closes, mainly to help the cash position and partially to facilitate a couple or so of permanent signings.

Thing is, anyone can say they've heard something - you could be making it up? Most likely in the Telegraph because Sharpe has read it on here and hasn't been told anything from the club but needs to get a story out. This is how 'ITK Twitter' works too.

So this 'big departure' should be taken with a pinch too. I'd imagine nobody has put a bit in for Armstrong who's the only player we have that could go this window based on Dack and Travis being injured. I'm inclined to think we won't lose either of those 3.
