  1. I suppose if the add-ons are related to promotion it's not too bad, but I still find £1,75m up front a bit steep as an initial fee... edit: typo
  2. In the end it is a referee mistake, and not a VAR mistake. BUT the video panel could have pressurised him into it, it that's the case it's absolutely disgusting from the panel, and ALSO definetly a VAR mistake.
  3. To think Emerton & Ooijer cost around £2 mill each and Nelsen & Salgado were free, makes me think the football world has gone completely topsy turvy these days
  4. Off course it's cheating, I'm too young to know the 80s teams! Was thinking Napoli, and then realised I didn't know any players other than Maradona playing for them pre 1994
  5. I both love and hate conundrums like that! Tbh Inter was quite far down the list of suspects in my eyes. Eventually I got to thinking that it had to be an Italian team. Two reasons for that: The money was in Italy in the 80s and 90s. Italy was represented in 3 of the finals since 1982, and Italians don't in general trend to play abroad (at least to a lesser degree than the other finalists). Also your Juve idea added to that thinking
  6. As far as I can figure, Rumenigge joined Inter in 1984 from Bayern, and left in 1987, Lothar Mättheus joined Inter in 1988 and left in 1992, and Klinsmann was at Inter from 1989 to 1992. Edit: Karl-Heinz Rumenigge that is. Looks like Bayern had another Rumenigge as well Edit 2: both Rumenigge and Mättheus played for Bayern when in the previous final though (Rumenigge 1982, Mättheus 1986)
  7. Internazionale (/Inter Milan): 82: Some Italians 86: Rimenigge (W Germany) 90: Matthäus + Klinsmann (W Germany) 94: Berti (Italy) 98: Ronaldo (Brazil) 02: Ronaldo (Brazil) 06: Materazzi (It) 10: Sneijder (Netherlands) 14: Palacio, Campagnaro, Álvares (Argentina) Edit: Took some brain and google work, I'll tell you that. I even thought Napoli for a while because of Maradona.
  8. Surprised QPR had positive flow. Have always thought of them as cronic overspenders...
  9. Yeah, you're prob right. Sane has had a fantastic season, so wouuld normally have thought him an obvious candidate. Then again, Werner and Draxler has performed regularly for the national team, Draxler over a longer period. Reus is a fantastic player, I've attributed Dortmunds poor season a couple of years ago to his injury more than anything else, and you usually see an upturn i form for Dortmund when he's playing regularly. And Brandt has, just like Sane, had a fantastic season. Löw is basically spoiled for choice almost across the pitch Edit: Fixed some of the worst typos.
  10. Not sure Brandt, Reus, Draxler and Werner are few pacey players though. I'm sure the idea is to use all of them as wide players (depending on what kind of formation Löw sets up in). I would say it looks more like they're lacking a forward to hold up the ball. They've got Gomez, but no one else. Then again, they might be planning to play without any out and out striker.
  11. It was fun while it lasted, this transfer speculation talk...
  12. According to that page Erhun Oztumer is out of contract at the end of the season.
  13. Bloody hell, this was finally nagging too much on my brain, so I had to do some searches. Do you mean John Spencer? He played a season in HK as far as I could tell. Sorry for cheating, was hoping someone would know it, but as I said, it just took too long
  14. So would have to be from leagues where teams skip the qualification then I guess? 3 from England: Man U, Man C, Chelsea Germany (3?): Bayern München, Dortmund, Leverkusen Spain (3?): Barca, Real, Atletico M France: PSG Portugal (2): Porto, Benfica Italy: Juve, Napoli (not sure if they still have 3 direct, or if it's 2 atm. If 3 then I think AC Milan beat Fiorentina to that spot) Don't know which other countries get teams directly through qualifying stages. Russia I guess, but don't know how that league is looking. Maybe Ukraine (If so, Shakhtar should be there). Turkey? The Netherlands I guess as well, but think that is still a bit open league wise (unless Ajax has managed to run away with it the last weeks) So that's 14-16 teams.
