  1. I'm trying to get Battlefield 2 and 1942 set up on my computer but everytime I try and get into an online game on Battlefield 1942 it tells me I don't have the latest version though I've installed all the new patches so I'm not sure what's going on there. For Battlefield 2 the game doesn't even start and just closes down on start-up. Anyone know what's going on?
  2. I know plenty of people who'd take the tickets, don't know if they have England tickets to swap, but if you decide you want to sell them I'm sure I know some people who'd happily buy them.
  3. I'm not sure he was being entirely serious.
  4. Taylor is away on loan as well isn't he?
  5. A nice bonus and the chance to showcase your skills in Europe might also help.
  6. So if we then finish 8th and miss out on a place of Europe will it really be worth it? If we fail to make Europe this season then I will have major concerns for what will happen to us as a club. If we can make Europe I don't doubt that the board will back Hughes, if we don't, then I think we could be looking to future seasons of languishing in midtable.
  7. It really is in our interest for United to win the carling cup, especially now that Wigan are fading away a bit. Also, it would be great if this year the fa cup final is comprised of teams already qualified for Europe, could make our lives a lot easier.
  8. We did the double over Arsenal one season, but our record against United wasn't great. I also remember against Arsenal where Dunn scored twice. Chelsea weren't the force they are now and we didn't do too well against Liverpool.
  9. Also, as wigan are on a bit of a slide I wouldn't be surprised if their gates dropped a bit.
  10. There are fewer keepers I'd rather have than Friedel in the Premiership. He's not the keeper he was, that doesn't make him bad.
  11. He's regularly one of our best players, is that smacks of lack of ambition then I suppose signing Rooney is the only thing that would have shown you ambition. Not only does Tugay have the ability to split premiership teams open but I'm sure he has a major influence on the team and can teach the younger players a lot. It is true that as he gets older he can't play in as many games but even 10 games of quality Tugay would be great next season, we just have to pick and choose the games he plays in now.
  12. Watch them turn it around against us though. Always feel when we play a team out of form they seem to find it just in time for us. Decent performance tonight. We did what was required and that's what good sides do.
  13. Surely you mean two in a row? I thought they did quite well against manchester united...
  14. He had a couple decent darts down the left, but he didn't show any great pace or any real final product. Really he just benefited from a couple decent balls to him and the fact that Arsenal's defense looked lost at sea at the beginning of the match.
  15. I knew someone would bring this up. I've watched the entire match and have to say he looked a bit like a lost puppy. Just like was always the case when playing for us there was no lack of effort, but at the moments when in the past you would have expected him to produce a moment of skill he was sadly lacking. Apart from one cross early on in the game and then a fortunate bounce from his tackle that lead to the goal he offered little to the attack other than tireless running. Of course this was beneficial to the Bolton cause as it was very much backs to the wall stuff for them, but in my opinion Jansen is now a poor man's Dickov.
  16. I think we should enter. Treat it just like friendly matches and experiment and rest players. Most of the teams in the competition we should be able to beat, if we don't get through then we haven't lost anything.
  17. All I can say is that I urge all of us not to get too depressed and critical of the team. It is true that two weeks in a row we have been well below par and well beaten by two teams who based on league performances this season we would hope to take at least points from, but it isn't that simple. Everton are on the up at the moment, a team in form, much like ourselves, and there is no disgrace in losing to them, even if they were down to ten men, once they get a lead they very rarely surrender it, bad day at the office. Last week we had another bad day and lost to team we really SHOULD beat, but West Brom are very good on their day. Football is like this, youre cream of the crop beating Manchester United next week and just after you struggle. Look at West Brom today, Chelsea, it isn't something that we alone suffer from. In two weeks time if we've picked up points we'll probably be back in as one of the top teams to get into Europe and we'll be very happy. We've been fortunate that in the past two weeks we have dropped points but the teams around us haven't picked any up either. We've missed two good opportunities to win, but our situation isn't much worse.
  18. Crap crap crap, and I'm really depressed about it, but I know that it will turn around. Just part of being a football fan, especially a rovers fan.
  19. To think Souness intentionally messed things up at Liverpool so that he could get a nice cheque as he left is ridiculous. He has potentially jeapordised the rest of his career in order to fast-track money he would have recieved anyway, why would anyone do that? If he is purely money run then he could have probably left football ages ago and retired with a nice sum of money, if he has any interest in being involved in football but also likes getting money (don't we all) then there would be no benefit in him messing up his own cv when already under contract.
  20. Yes, let's sell our most talented player because of one season plagued by injury. Especially when we'll have to sell him for a cheap price due to this season. He's produced great results during the time he's been able to play, I'm sure he'll be able to get through this poor injury spell.
  21. Just take a look at any website like the official site, bbc, sky or whatever and look at fixtures/results and it should give you all of the information you need.
  22. Didn't he start a game for Southampton and was substituted after about 20 minutes? Might be wrong, but that is always what I've thought. Good post overall AESF but you're a bit hard on a couple of Souness signings. Dwight Yorke was very good the first season he was here and really thing went south when he and Souness seemed to have a few problems. For the price he came in at you could say that the results of the first season pretty much justified it, I think most of us were excited when he signed, I certainly was. Amoruso will never escape the fact that he was a member of a horrible team and an even worse defence. However, at times he was the only one who looked halfway decent and was a major part of the improvement in our form that saw us stay up. Not a great player, but for 1.3 million not that awful of a buy, I think he was a bit hard done by. Now for the most controversial one, Barry Ferguson. From where we are now it was a horrible waste of money, but back in December of last year I think most Rovers fans were starting to think he may just have been worth it. The fact that he then sold us up the river in late January could never have been predicted.
  23. He played as a wingback in the dutch league. He can play both at the back and in midfield but prefers to play in midfield, it was his reason given for joining us over Newcastle.
  24. O2 is about all I can think of.
