  1. If he goes out and performs then I don't know what the problem is. It would also depend on whether or not he consulted the club about this, and got their approval, if he did then there is no problem at all.
  2. C'mon boys lets drag Gave up. If nothing else we can see who will perform the most favours as the voting enters its final stages, so lets make this close.
  3. That line also got Gav my vote
  4. Oh it's not a problem for me, I was thinking more for you. As if you are looking to gather information many might not reply to this topic as they have already done so.
  5. I think we will also have the benefit of having different uniforms because of our halves, the design has to be changed because of that, if not it looks odd.
  6. "The only problem is I'm getting old and I don't think the manager would want me there" Well...at least there is some honesty.
  7. We've had this come up a couple of times, it would be much easier if you just dragged up the previous discussion on the topic.
  8. I have to agree with a comment that was made earlier in that Jansen's former glory is his biggest enemy. As soon as he steps onto the field we expect him to be as he was pre-accident, if he doesn't start like that straight away, then we all simply say that he has lost it. I don't think he's been terrible this year, and actually think he has shown signs that he still has much of that talent, but everyone expects him to straight away be what he was, and that will never happen. If we aren't bringing in at least 2 more strikers in the summer then I think he has to be kept. Johnson is still too young, Dickov is getting on and though quite effective, we could do better, Stead and Gallagher lack experience and are too inconsistent at the moment, and Bothroyd, no matter what you think of him, looks like he will be leaving. If we were to have injuries and suspension like we have had this season next term, then we would really be in trouble if we dont have at least as many options as we have at the moment.
  9. I might turn my attention to you...I find your little image at the bottom quite provocative haha.
  10. Agree with you there Flopsy. Who knows what he might turn into given time though, he certainly is doing a decent job at the moment, so I won't complain.
  11. Oh come on T4E...you aren't that short
  12. How about this, you find me a picture of a Burnley player with his hands on the Premireship trophy, and you can win this little competition of bragging rights, oh and I mean while he was at the club.
  13. MGP for 17 million? Hmm...that would be terrible. I'd wait 3 or 4 years before deciding that I wouldn't bite anyone's hand off if they came in with that sort of money, at the moment though I would take it. Having said that, what makes me like him the most isn't the quality of his play, more just how he behaves. He seems to care and enjoy it, you can really tell it when he celebrates and goes to the crowd, very few of our players at the moment seem to have that in them.
  14. Interestingly enough, from watching him the place I think he needs to improve the most is getting good crosses in. He obviously strikes a ball well and has good passing skills so it shouldn't be a problem. If next year we have threats in the box, he will need to beat his man and get the ball in, and the moment he just isn't doing it, though I can understand this as he only has Dickov and Gallagher to aim at.
  15. It means for example if I sign: Edward Hewitt It isn't personalised as that could be for anyone If I sign: To Spencer, have a nice day Edward Hewitt Then it is
  16. I like how the burnley supporters wouldn't know what to do with the cards haha
  17. 26000 really isn't bad all things considered. Not playing a big team even though it was a big game, recent results and the weather were all against us. So really that isn't too bad.
  18. Earnshaw and Dickov...combined height of 4 foot. Having said that would love to see Earnshaw here. Earnshaw and Bellamy, now that would have a bit of pace to it.
  19. No thanks, I think he needs the time and freedom to be able to get the ball and experiment. I don't think he'll fit into our plan and work ethic, and won't be in a situation to do what he does best, though there is no doubting his skill and talent.
  20. The fact he was quite a regular in the MLS team of the season did indicate that he was something special - even if the league isn't the 'mighty' standards of the EPL. Um no not really. I've watched the MLS for years, especially when I lived there, and making the MVP team really wouldn't make you Premiership standard. Hughes did well to pick up on a player that few will have even heard of, and even fewer will have thought capable of making it in this league. I'm sure that both he and the player have been surprised by the ease at which he has adapted and just how well he has done.
  21. Now let's just not do a Boro, massive result for us though
