Stability equals inertia at best. IMO, It reeks of an ambitionless regime seeking self preservation. Phil Neal used to bang on about stability at Bolton - I think it's a con, a cover up for incompetence and the inability to move things forward and achieve bigger and better things. What the club needs right now is a manager with real ambition, drive and a can do attitude. Enough of this, IMO, 'slow, slow build and moving in the direction' - it's total cr@p.
-
Just what has Mowbray to offer as a DOF? IMO, dinosaurian, no judge of talent and a bloke who's told us he doesn't / can't negotiate with players! I'm pretty certain any new man would not want Mowbray poking his nose in. I think he's had his chance and blown it. Three and a half years down the line and we are barely better than when he took over. Last three performances, one could be forgiven Kean / Coyle were back in town. Whoever succeeds Mowbray has, IMO, one helluva job on their hands owing to, IMO, Mowbray's incompetence not least demonstrated by the Brereton / Gallagher / Raya / Walton shambles.

I think Mowbray's mindset to these last few games will all be about self preservation and finishing as high as he can rather than playing some development / U23 players to see what they can do. Agree with Tom above, as a minimum Walton, Johnson and Gallagher should be dropped - in fact, IMO, loanee, calamity Walton should not start another game for Rovers. Can any of the development / U23 players do any worse than those three? Can see absolutely nothing other than a Cardiff win. So confident of this, I've put all my my £130 winnings for betting against Rovers last week on a Cardff win at just a little better than evens. For those who say you shouldn't bet against Rovers then I would say why not? If we are so poor and it's easy money then you would be silly not to. To be honest, if it would result in Mowbray's departure, I would take a hiding and defeat in each of our last five matches.

IMO, total bullsh1t and an insult to the intelligence of supporters. If anyone buys that nonsense then I suggest they look up their local Priory clinic.

Balancing the books is impossible unless we were able to flog players for some £20million+ each season. Sadly, I think we are financially goosed. The three players you mention are decent but NOT PL players. We really are in a mess and given the impact of coronavirus on worldwide economies, it would be no surprise if the Raos did not call time on their, IMO, disastrous venture into English football. I was talking to a former colleague of mine this week who is a corporate insolvency specialist with one of the 'big boys' and he fears for the football industry in particular. I think Rovers are more vulnerable now to financial insolvency and collapse than they ever have been in their history.

It is appalling management. IMO, Waggott and Mowbray have no defence - absolutely shambolic.
-
Think Mowbray needs drumming out of our club as soon as possible along with Venus, Lowe and Benson. IMO, a dinosaurian manager with precious little to offer. Some say make him DOF - please, give your heads a wobble. IMO, would be an unmitigated disaster and hold us back even further. It's a results game and three and a half years on, we are barely better off than when Mowbray arrived. IMO, our squad is flimsy, unbalanced and, in the main, bereft of quality. I think our football is dire - we have no identity. This week with our performances, you could be forgiven for thinking Kean or Coyle were still in charge - what an indictment. Someone has a huge, huge job to do and much of that, IMO, is down to Mowbray's very, very poor player trading and generally appalling management (team selection, organisation, tactics, substitutions and mental and physical fitness). The decision is a no brainer. We need a hungry, dynamic and innovative staff to at least give us a semblance of hope and optimism.

The most important employee of any football club is the manager. He makes or breaks a club. Burnley as a club have been transformed by the money earned in the PL and their success there is all down to Dyche. A football a manger is therefore worthy of his hire. Pay peanuts, get monkeys.
-
Well for a start, I'd slash Waggott's reported £300k to £100k and throw that into the pot. If Waggott's not happy with that then good luck finding another job and I think he'd need it! Better still, just get rid of him!!!
-
Well he was there when Raya joined! Even the best goalies in the world make mistakes as Alisson has shown with Liverpool. Brentford have conceded fewer goals than any other team in the Championship - I suspect Raya is doing pretty well for them!!!
-
and ask yourself why? I think he had very little respect for Benson and, IMO, no wonder why. Benson as far as I'm aware, has never played the game at even a non league level (though I stand to be corrected) and started off as a lad in Carlisle's Community set-up. I've seen Benson at Brockhall and also his match day routines and I am totally unimpressed. I remember one match last season when Benson came out some three minutes or so before the players were due back out after half time, presumably to give Raya a work out. Raya rocked up with the rest of the Rovers' players and there was only time for Benson to throw just one ball at him. I mentioned the incident on here. To me, that showed a distinct last of respect for Benson. Raya has stated one of the reasons for going to Brentford was to work with the goalkeeper coach there - it says it all, IMO. Just think if Rovers did sign Joe Hart - a goalie with a drawer full of medals and caps and the kid from Carlisle rocks up, 'hi Joe, I'm going to make you a better goalie'. It's laughable.

No excuse for Mowbray's player trading. IMO, his judgement is awful. Evidence, £20million+ (including wages) spunked up the wall on Brereton and Gallagher for starters. Add to that the sale of Raya only to be replaced by Walton. IMO, Raya was p1ssed off with Mowbray singling him out and also the coaching he was getting from the community trust lad from Carlisle.
-
Absolutely. Beating Bristol City was no great feat. Johnson had already lost the plot there before turning up at Ewood and PRE lock down, they'd scraped 2 points out of 15. It would have been hugely disappointing not to have beaten them. I will ask you again. What does Mowbray need to do, or not to do, to get sacked?
-
Simple question Chaddy - WHY? Get a poll organised on here and I bet 90% want him out.
-
Or sky 'em Beamo!
-
What the feck then has he been doing since he came here then other than spunking a fortune up the wall on Brereton and Gallagher. This is MOWBRAY'S SQUAD - all player trading has been his. IMO, we are unbalanced, have gaping holes in key areas and, in the main, are bereft of quality. It's all down to him. Shambolic, IMO. And you want more of the same!!! - wake up and smell the coffee Chaddy!!!

I think Mowbray will walk IF the terms are right. IMO, his body language and demeanor are those of someone on the brink. Think Johnson is the best of a pretty poor set of coaches we have but don't think he's ready, or even cut out, to be 1st team manager. We need a manager who will galvanise the club, excite the fans and make the wider football world sit up and take note.
-
So true. Think BB and SG make the much maligned John O'Mara (going back to the early 1970's) look like another Shearer! At least 'BIg John' averaged a goal every three games for Rovers if my memory is correct.
-
and that's why, with that type of manager, you put a clever coach next to him! Busby had Murphy, Shankly had Paisley, Clough had Taylor, Kenny (who said he couldn't put on a session) had Harford.
-
Over the years, I've been fortunate enough to have opportunity to see a number of managers and coaches put on sessions at different clubs. The good ones stand out a mile with their passion, positivity, know-how and communication. You mention pre match warm ups - one of the best with the ball I ever saw at Ewood was when McClaren was Fergie's number 2 at United. It really fizzed and those lads were really buzzing - sadly, they were too much for Rovers that day.
-
IMO, Mowbray thinks he's a Pep but in reality, he's a managerial dinosaurian who is well past his sell by date. Think it's compounded by, IMO, the dire quality of his staff (Venus, Lowe & Benson) - I've watched these guys on match days and concluded the lights are on but there's no one at home!
-
Precisely what Mowbray has failed to do!
-
Really!? After three and a half years of Mowbray, we are nothing more than a mid table Championship team going backwards with an unbalanced squad with gaping holes in key areas. If Mowbray's building our club then God help us if he gets it wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
