den what year is this one, struggling with the strip, Parkes manager/caretaker

That looks like the Perspex strip. Perspex were the sponsors for 6 years in the 80's, I think. [1984-1991]
EDIT
Just seen it gives the date below the Photo as 1991 against Swindon Town.?
and another Edit. look under "sponsors" Link.

Hmmm, so the light blue perspex kit was only for one season. I wouldn't have known that.

Edit. it was quite close, time is not good for the old grey matter. Garner at his best
Although the cuffs are different on Garner with the ones in the picture with Parks.

Where is the ROVERS F.C. sign/stonework these days?
In 1888 Preston refused to play a match against Blackburn due to their reception by the Blackburn fans.

I don't know the guy but I'd like to give a little plug for Stuart at Homes of Football. I've bought a couple of prints from him and his service is top notch - he even threw in some free postcards. I think you can go and visit his studio up in the lakes, will get round to it one day.

The shop in Ambleside is closed, it's a shame, decent day out. Now the Homes of football is in Manchester.
