cletus Posted January 28, 2010 Author Posted January 28, 2010 I think with the remaining home games against.... Hull City ( with a 2-3k following) Notlob (3k) Big Club (3k) Chelsea (3k) Man Ure (8k) Everton (3k) Arsenal (3k) the average gate will rise well above 26k for the season Our last two home games (fulham & Wigan) were our two lowest gates this season. Both unattractive games in the eyes of the public. The next 7 home games will prove more attractive for the punters. Looking at those games, getting maximum points from the first 3 games is absolutely essential, considering our poor away form. We are NOT safe yet!!!
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 I would just like to say a big thanks to the legend Simon Garner for putting the Preston Hairdresser,Mark 'I dont know my arse from my elbow' Lawrenson right in his place through his LET column today. It has come to light that 'Lawro' took a cheap swipe at our support VIA his BBC prediction website midweek; 'The most interesting part of their match against Wigan will be how low the Ewood park crowd will be' babbled the self confessed supporter of the Worlds best supported club PNE. Nice one Garns and a firm two fingered salute to you 'Lawro'!!
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Everton,Chelsea and Arsenal could all quite easily sell 5,000 tickets if given the option boosting the crowds even further.
LeftWinger Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Probably worth noting that for the two games in the list where Rovers were the away side - we took big numbers Wigan (5k), Bolton (nearly 4k?).
