Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted August 7, 2011 Moderation Lead Posted August 7, 2011 Nicko's story has nothing to do with transfers or sponsors, it is to do with the club. It'll be on the mirror website shortly after 11pm and I suspect that the negativity thread will have some pages added to it over the coming day or so. Now back to transfers on here. Great

daverich Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Not more negativity and doom and gloom No good news at all Kamy?
briansol Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Well someone asked him if it was bad news: nicko: "Not bad news. Just interesting. In terms of many aspects of the story."
Roverdale Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Doesn't have to be outright bad news for everyone on here to twist it negative though does it...
Hekla Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 What about this striker that we were all becoming excited about? Will he be revealed tomorrow?
ScottishRover Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Hey, could someone tell me Nicko's twitter please?
wozaup Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Hey, could someone tell me Nicko's twitter please? reluctantnicko
goodwillie_style Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 wouldn't anyone else like it to be someone like Óscar René Cardozo, his scoring record at benfica is amazing
A Tugay Substitution Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 wouldn't anyone else like it to be someone like Óscar René Cardozo, his scoring record at benfica is amazing I would love to see Cardozo at Rovers, he's also not in the first team at the moment and they were alledgedly looking to swap him with Besiktas for Hugo Almeida and 15 million. Benfica are a bit like Spurs when it comes to tranfers they always ask for silly money. Witsel has been great for them as well, a real downer that we missed out on that signing if indeed it was as possible as we were lead to believe
Speedie Dived Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 wouldn't anyone else like it to be someone like Óscar René Cardozo, his scoring record at benfica is amazing Are you trying to drop a hint there?
mr bishi Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Witsel has been great for them as well, a real downer that we missed out on that signing if indeed it was as possible as we were lead to believe He looked the real deal when he came on against arsenal yesterday.
donnermeat Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 wouldn't anyone else like it to be someone like Óscar René Cardozo, his scoring record at benfica is amazing Abso-bloody-exactly, but the player in question has been described as young and I wouldn't consider him that.
A Tugay Substitution Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 He looked the real deal when he came on against arsenal yesterday. A bargain at that price as well, I can see him moving on within a couple of years for 16 million + if he keeps it up. He was very impressive in both games against trabzonspor, just the sort of player Utd could do with to replace Carrick. Really realy annoying that we were supposedly looking at that quality of signing and because we buggered about too much we let it slip from our fingers I thought Cleverly looked excellent today, if they were to purchase Sneijder would they be tempted to let him leave on loan? Although to be fair its not a position we need to fill with Formica and Dunn looking good in pre season and Hoilett and Rochina able to play that sort of role as well.
Dariomarcolin Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 I think Cardozo is a big, lazy donkey of a striker
goodwillie_style Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 I think Cardozo is a big, lazy donkey of a striker 100 goals in 168 appearances not bad for a big fat lazy donkey, but hey who needs him we got roberts 24 goals in 124 appearances
A Tugay Substitution Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 I think Cardozo is a big, lazy donkey of a striker He does seem to lumber around sometimes and looks a bit languid, just like Berbatov, but he turns up at the right place at the right time and scores goals. Takes a good free kick too.
mr bishi Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Agent_ITK Agent_ITKBlackburn willing to offer Taarabt an escape route from QPR. Won't pay a king's ransom though From twitter
goodwillie_style Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Has it been confirmed its Nicko on twitter?? thought nicko said he wouldn't be seen dead on twitter and he has better things to do with his life than lower himself to that level, I'm thinking it someone on here trying to pretend to be him and give out false info just like the real nicko lol
magicalmortensleftpeg Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Reluctant Nicko was messaging his daughter on twitter a few days ago (the one who won a handbag competition..?) so unless she's fooled as well, its him.
Dariomarcolin Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 100 goals in 168 appearances not bad for a big fat lazy donkey, but hey who needs him we got roberts 24 goals in 124 appearances Now, I never said he was fat... I just think with certain strikers you can tell whether or not they're suited for the premiership and I just don't see that with him. What would people think to Macheda on loan?
scotty_beam_me_up Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 It's going to be Rondon I can feel it in my bones. Cardoza would be amazing. Top. Drawer. He has done at a top level including Europe
Roverdale Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Apologies, I seem to have missed some information and really can't be bothered searching through 15 pages for it. Has someone mentioned that a deal for an unnamed striker is advancing? Is that why we're guessing names? Or is this just wild guesses at a replacement striker? If it's a genuine tip is it likely to be online tonight or tomorrow? Cheers
Billy Castell Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Re Nicko's story: Perhaps it will be a flat refusal to sack Kean if he is guilty of drink-driving by the Raos. Re Taarbat: No thanks. His ego is the size of Saturn, disappears during games and will not fulfill his potential. Re Striker: Any developments, or chance of telling us who he is?
