[Archived] Blackburn Rovers Finances

Recommended Posts

With The Rao's reportedly clearing the debt £10m in april/maj making the cub debt free including selling Phil Jones in the summer for £16m + add ons and then Chris Samba for around £11m without purchasing anything in the january window except free transfers, then release Jason Roberts, Ryan Nelsen, Keith Andrews with high wages, also Grella, Gulon and Salgado has left the club and some kids, surely our finances must be ok? Isn't it legally ok for everyone outside the club to have an insight in the clubs finances?

Leaving under Summer 2011-2012

Jones £16m + add ons high wages

Samba £11m high wages

Goulon low wages

Nelsen high wages

Andrews high wages

The finances are OK as far as we know.

Plenty of details posted on other threads.

Don't hold your breath on that being the case for long. I am sure they will eventually mess this up also.

I'd say the clearing of club debts is false. They have paid Barclays, but I bet with a bank of India overdraft.

Closer to administration than I dare think about would be my guess.

  • 2 weeks later...

No more than a month of life left in the BRFC carcass I was lead to believe recently.

Shows how bad the current regime is that I very much hope that is true.

However, I don't believe it is despite plenty of outwards signs that cash is very tight.

You missed a fair few players there mate especially from the early days....

Also out:

Fielding - Low wages

Brown - Low wages

Zurub - High wages

Chimbonda - Mid wages

Emerton - Mid/high wages

Rigters - Low wages

EHD - High wages

Doran - Low wages

Benjani - Mid wages

Reid - ? wages

Basturk - Mid wages

Jacobson - Mid wages

Also in:

Simon Vukcevic - Mid wages

Slew - Low wages

Myles - low wages I hope

A major flaw in the whole thing is Rovers actually PAID for allot of these players to leave, paying off someones contract even at a lower rate is bound to of hurt finances
