Some malicious lies emerging from Preston where it is being reported that a US-Saudi businessman has held talks about investing in Nob End.

Apparently nobody has told him or the media that nobody would buy or invest in a 'small town' loss making 'unattractive' Championship football club. You are supposed to just exist with disinterested owners who at least pay the bills and never get taken over

Or is it a different rule book because they are a city?

Sheff Wed sale seems to have stalled. Bannon off to Millwall suggests further cost cutting.

I think they're expecting the sale after the transfer window shuts now. Basically means the administrators have to continue treating the club like a collapsed business and raise money however they can. Expect anyone who can fetch a half decent price will be gone by the time the window closes.

Sounds like they might lose one or two more as well. If Rovers fail to beat them at Ewood then there really is no hope for survival.

Leicester have sacked Cifuentes, no surprises there

Wonder if they will make an approach for Ismael?

Hopefully Leicester use the same data metrics that we do which all apparently showed Ismael to be by far "the outstanding candidate".

Get shut of the useless twonk and 2.5 years compo on top.

If Carlsberg did approaches..............

Obviously he wasn't nearly as shit (*), but I always thought that Souness was teetering on the verge of the sack when Newcastle paid us compensation to take him to the North East

* Souness was great for us in the most part but did seem to be self destructing and falling out with everyone just before he left

Very much so. I nearly posted "Unfortunately I doubt this will be another fairy tale Souness type solution".

We got extremely lucky with that.
