Why hasn't he failed a test before now then? He must have taken hundreds of them? Out of interest O2G, do you believe he's guilty?

Can anyone explain in simple terms this Lance Armstrong thing? As I understand it he hasn't failed a drugs test - I'm assuming at his peak he must have been on of the most frequently tested athletes on the planet - so what is the evidence against him?

Fair question Dirk. The more I think about this the harder I find it to know what to think. Someone posted on Twitter earlier that they find it hard to applaud someone that chose to die and leave two young sons behind. I can definitely understand people feeling that way. Until more comes out its hard to know what to make of it.

It's not a weakness, it's a strength to do something about it. I know that sounds like crap but it's the case - its way harder to tell someone about it than it is to sit on it. You don't have to take medication, you'd be amazed how much just talking to an adequately qualified and experienced person can help. There's many options, have a look in to it and see if any of them can help you. Sorry to lecture you. Please don't suffer in silence.

There's so many things you can try, even if it doesnt feel like they work straight away over time they can, until one day you get through a whole day without thinking about it. I think Chris's point is that no one saw this coming and there were no outward clues. For a guy who has been in the spotlight for over 20 years in the most popular sport in the country, you'd expect someone somewhere to have an inkling. Many people feel very close to this, myself included, and Speed never played for any of my clubs or my country. It's natural to seek understanding and closure to help with the grieving process.

I keep reading he had two boys but there's no mention of a wife. It's about time this country started taking mental health more seriously.
