  1. Cool, Lego to take on Skylanders and Disney Infinity http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/gaming/news/a640760/lego-takes-on-skylanders-in-toys-to-life-dimensions-this-september.html#~p9mYLLt0m77EaD
  2. Got that one lined up to watch, got good reviews so looking forward to it. Really? I loved the film until the ending. All the gritty realism they wanted destroyed in the last 20 minutes by a pure guff Hollywood ending. It's great to see the Tiger which is housed at Bovington Tank Museum (fantastic museum btw) get a proper run out. Off now to find "The Guest" after the mentions on here. and I've got Interstellar also lined up as it is the last one in the IMDB top 50 I need to watch. Not looking forward to that after the comments above.
  3. Cheers, bought it yesterday for £16 from greenmangaming. GTA V was due out on 24th of this month and now been delayed until 14th April. It might get released at some point. Guess I should finish one of the 160 games in my Steam library before I get too upset.
  4. Where have you seen it at that price? I'd bite at that in the hope it's better than Sim City. And nearly 18 months since my last comment in this thread and I am STILL waiting for GTA V to come out on PC
  5. I watched the "new" Robocop last night and actually really enjoyed it. Thought there was no chance I'd like it after the adverts and the fact I love the original but this was very well done and not a bad story. The only bit I have issues with is why he would suddenly go after the owner of omcicorp, it really didn't have the feeling of him being a bid bad like Dick Jones in the original.
  6. I just got Lego Marvell Super Heroes on steam for £4.87. Can't beat that and will keep me the kids entertained for hours
  7. You are joking right? You have read this board?
  8. Lens Flare, Lens Flare and yet more Lens Flare. You can never have too much you know.
  9. Am I the only one that though Star Trek Into Darkness was a bit rubbish? Finally got round to watching it the other night and it was completely predictable (certainly the ending) and all the "nods" to The Wrath of Khan just made me wish they could have had their own ideas for a story line. And why did we need "old Spock"? ...again! Also watched The Purge and really quite enjoyed it. Not the best acting in the world and again, completely predictable ending but the story was good and quite tense.
  10. Sim City has annoyed the **** out of me. I had a perfectly functioning city, making money everything stable and suddenly their's too much sewage, crime and no clear water. The water table is f'ing frustrating as it gets used and doesn't seem to replenish quickly enough. As you say, the city is too small so you can't fit everything into one which means you have to have multiple cities for certain things and then the ones you aren't managing just kind of stop and limp along. Why can' they function and gain money etc whilst you are working on others? grrrr. I hope some of the things they are proposing come to fruition.
  11. saw something a few days ago seems an odd business strategy from EA considering they have done badly with some very high profile games recently. Although perhaps MS have fluttered a lot of green their way. Got to say, I was interested to see the next generation of Kinect on the new xbox but they can royally stuff off if the increasing rumours of "permanent internet connection" required.
  12. Agreed. That's why I got Bioshock Infinite on steam instead of console. The pre-order deal was £23.99 which included Bioshock 1, Civilization 5, and X-Com. Fantastic price for a fantastic game plus 3 others!
  13. Great deal (I think anyway) on Steam until 1st April for the Grand Theft Auto Complete Includes 7 items: Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto, Grand Theft Auto 2, Grand Theft Auto IV, Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City Only £8.74 Think I'll be having a bit of that, even though I've played most of them.
  14. LMAO, played for about 30 minutes and my computer died. just suddenly dead which is odd as our house electric normally trips the second someone farts oddly near a plug socket but that didn't blow. I had to leave it for a while and unplug it but it's back on now. I hate PC gaming! PSU should have been ok as its 550W Gigabyte Odin and I've only got 2 small hard drives and 1 dvd writer so I wouldn't have thought I'd have hit the max.
  15. Nice. Got my new graphics card today (haven't plugged it in yet) and it came with a code for Assassins Creed 3 for free. now I have far too much to play that I never have time for.
  16. Yeah, I've just gone through all the benchmarks and the best I get is an overall average of 16.15 on "Very Low" As you say though, visually there wasn't that much you would notice in game between the Ultra and Very Low settings. I only have a lowly GTX 520 as I stopped gaming on my PC a few years ago as everything just worked on PS3 and XBOX. I'm now getting a bit more back into it as the Kids have the TV 24/7 so was thinking of spending a little more on a semi decent card. Currently looking at the GTX660. Can't stretch to a TI unfortunately and the 670 is WAY out of my price bracket. Some places have mentioned the AMD 7870 (I think it was) as a rival to the 660 but there seems to be pro's and con's to both (plus I've always been a bit of an nvidia person)
  17. Hmm, definitely need a new GPU, I get about 10fps in the benchmarks unless I turn everything off
  18. I bet it can handle everything, it costs more than an XBox and a PS3 together!!! Bit out of my price bracket.
  19. I've got a pre-order code for Infinite just waiting for it to be released. Like you I need to get myself a new graphics card as Sim City told me "Even though you have a new card, it's @#/?" or words to that effect
  20. Currently watching Strippers Vs Werewolves on Netflix. Quite enjoying it for a rubbish cheesy brit film
  21. Yes, that should be the case. The PC version of Episode 5 came with all the episodes. So glad someone mentioned this here, just started playing episode one and it really is good. Not too much in the way of gameplay but a great story and very much in a comic book style.
  22. real fans don't get paid thousands of pounds a week for playing crap. Works both ways.
  23. I've got it and loving it. Got it for the PC as its only £17.99 compared to £32.99 for PS3 or Xbox. Why such a difference for the same game?
  24. So FIFA 13 announced for September 28th but with loads of "incentives" for pre-orders like an Adidas All Star Team if bought from Game and 10,000 EA points if bought from Amazon. What a crock of sh...
