  1. Lol, the problem is I always believe them. I've changed tact to always say they are telling lies. Seems to be working!
  2. Played LA Noire last night. Visually very good but I wouldn't say stunning. It's also quite slow to get into and feels quite linear at the moment (only played for about an hour). The one thing it does show me is that I am really bad at reading people. When asking people questions you have to look at their facial movements and expressions to tell if they are telling lies or not. The amount I've got wrong is untrue.
  3. Not long now until LA Noire. Anyone else looking forward to it? Granted its 1940's Grand Theft Auto with cops, but it looks superb.
  4. Sony had that, it was called OtherOS which many people used. Sony got rid, thus annoying a LOT of very talented people who were only trying to use the console for things they were legally allowed to do at the time Sony launched the PS3 with it as a selling point. The hacks to the firmwares only came about due to Sony removing that feature. Plus now with FW 3.60 people with the hacks can't get on to PSN and can't run new signed gmaes like Portal 2 so jobs done for Sony (for now) BUT, they will never let developers near their machine again without a fight. They are turning into an evil company and getting above MS in the the bad reputation stakes.
  5. It's probably something to do with their bullying tactics to stop developers putting otherOs back onto the device they bought in the first place. Not sure they have taken credit this time or not but certainly a couple of weeks ago there was a sustained DDOS attack against PSN by a group called Anonymous. Did anyone also read the the updated terms and conditions when signing into PSN after the 3.56 firmware update? Sony basically included a load of terms that says they can effectively look at ANYTHING on the PS3 hard drive and they were allowed to retrieve and store that data.
  6. Just seen they are remaking Total Recall. WHY? Can Hollywood not come up with anything original anymore?
  7. I've got loads. Every film I like, I buy. I tend to wait until they are down under £10 before getting though. Also, I've stopped double dipping (ie buying on bluray if I have the DVD) unless the price is just too good (under £5) or a LOVE the film. For example I have the Shawshank Redemption on every format going, but I'll wait until the Star Wars box set hits the bargain bin before getting that. and I've still got a load of HD-DVD's that I have to crank out the xbox 360 add on drive for.
  8. I am so far behind with films. Finally got round to watching Avatar the other night. What a complete load of rubbish.
  9. What are you on about? That's the best bit!
  10. Sadly, to my shame, I quite enjoyed the last one.
  11. Watched the Human Centipede last night. That is one disturbed film, wouldn't watch it again also the new Nightmare on Elm Street - not sure why they bothered, didn't add anything to the original.
  12. I think you'll find thats "Jigawatts". I think its on the DVD directors commentry where they admit they got it wrong and only realised after the film had shot. Can't wait for the Blu-ray to come out. I have resisted the silly collectors tins and model Deloreons, but I was tempted by the "outatime" number plate in the tin.
  13. Nope. Halo, been there done that. There were tons of them in costco for £30 this lunchtime. I still passed.
  14. Yey, Sounds brilliant, original and just what Hollywood needs. (although I do love Police Academy 1 to 3)
  15. ah, did this mean the new one and not the original? In which case I take back my comment and agree whole heartedly.
  16. Watched Hot Tub Time Machine last night - very average but watchable. I don't think it was sure if it wanted to be a comedy or not. also watched Toy Story 3 which I really enjoyed.
  17. I think you mis-read me, he stood well back of bottles and a massive heavy bin being thrown. Something I cana't fault him for.
  18. My thoughts and best wishes go out to the friends and family of this guy. I was at the match and saw the bottles and then the bin being thrown around. I stayed well back as did the steward I was talking to (couldn't balme him in the slightest). The whole scene really affected me and I can't believe how we can ever have this kind of idoacy inside any ground.
  19. wasn't that tricky to find Amazon.fr
  20. Lol, I thought it was a complete rip off of Doc Hollywood :-)
  21. Good luck. I really didn't get the overall interest in that film. I love Pixar but turned this one off after 20 minutes of nothing. I even got the blu-ray free with my player and it hasn't been out of the shrink wrap. Only kept it as I thought my daughter may enjoy it when shes old enough. Can I tick it off my list as "tried to watch"?
  22. Thought I would give that a go and I am surprised how few I had seen of the top 250 and indeed how many I have no intention of ever watching! :-)
  23. Finally got round to watching The Damned United the other night. A really good film, very enjoyable.
