  1. How dare people mock the Shatner and indeed Star Trek. Although the clip was quite funny, it had been (badly) edited and the soundtrack changed completely. That was probably to mask the fact it had been slowed down to make the fight look even worse than it was. No mean feat!
  2. If you are talking about Pirates of the Caribbean 3 then I am going to the piccies to watch it tonight. Glad you liked it as there are a lot of negative comments out there. Cheers for the tip on the extra scene as well.
  3. Watched Shrek the Third last night and I wouldn't recommend it. It had a few (3 or 4) laugh out loud moments but the story is very boring. The animation is top notch but I even fell asleep for about 5 minutes in the middle somewhere.
  4. Better yet, speedball 2 is coming to Xbox Live soon
  5. Well, according to DigitalSpy, Sony have anncounced there will be three more Spider-Man films after this one broke US box office records on it's opening weekend. It doesn't say what record but maybe it's the amount of people asleep by the end of the film?
  6. Watched Spider-Man 3 on Sunday and the critics were right. It's soooo boring. What a complete let down.
  7. Still away at the moment. I'll give it a go tomorrow night and let you know.
  8. Got it already on the 360 Haven't played it yet as I'm away for the weekend.
  9. In the good old days of the top down GTA's, there was a GTA London as well. By the way, does anyone know if GTA 4 is coming to PC/PS2/XBOX or is it XBOX360 & PS3 only?
  10. Just finished watching the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film. I really, really enjoyed it. Forget the rubbish films previously, this one follows the old cartoons superbly with updated animation but still in a style you recognise. Shame the old theme tune was not there!
  11. I don't really know. I played the demo on a AMD 4600 X2, 1.5GB Ram and an nvidia 6800 so I wouldn't say it was that powerful. The game didn't look that much of an upgrade to the original C&C's so I don't see why it would need that much power (apart from for sloppy programming).
  12. Sod all this console malarky, I can't wait until Friday for Command and Conquer 3 to be released on the PC. played the demo the other day and it really took me back. I wasted most of my student life playing C&C.
  13. Well if anyone needs TMNT nostalgia then the old 80's arcade version is now available on xbox live for the 360. Fantastic.
  14. The camera angles aren't just annoying, they are an absolute hinderance. There's no free camera, you are stuck with what the developer decided. I think they were drunk at the time.
  15. OK, of the new games I strongly recommend that everyone avoids the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game. Got it on the 360 and it has just got my pappest game of the year award. I also played the demo od Command and Conquer 3 on the PC over the weekend. Wow that takes me back. Nothing startling but and very very good game.
  16. Putting aside the bad games for a moment, a game I strongly recommend everyone getting is Crackdown. Absolutely superb, I've been playing it constantly over the weekend.
  17. 19th October, out on both consoles on the same day.
  18. Wow, I am happy when I actually get 60 - 70k. Saying that, I'm happy when I get 15k to actually submit a score! Every little helps I suppose. Just noticed that we finished 3rd so we are promoted. Congrats everyone.
  19. Come on lads, we are currently swapping between first and second place. If we keep it going we could get promoted again this period.
  20. Sky Sports News is now reporting that Birmingham have stated that Dunn has left to join Blackburn
  21. Yep, did that and I remember now why I stopped playing it. I hope the FPS once above is real. That would be excellent.
  22. I think Wolverine is right about Mr Stay Puft. I had the speccy version and as you say cocker, you play around the top down map but when you got to a ghost location, you got a front on view of the building where you would have to lay the trap and use the beams to trap the slimers. I do believe that at the end of the game you did face a Stay-Puft and had to simply run past him (or was it just a cut scene?). Just found this on another site which seems to suggest this is right for all home versions:- Home Version Similarities: all home versions have: only one level/version to play; a series of screens to show the action similar to the movie: a) setting up your franchise with a $10K budget & multiple choices such as equipment; B ) view the 4X5 block city map to see locations of Roamers and Slimers (inside flashing red buildings). Watch for the MMM alert, and use up to 5 dollups of Bait - hit the letter “B” - which attracts the MMM to you and prevents a city block from destruction; move your GB icon about the city c) drive the streets on that specific route, see your vehicle and try to vacuum the “Roamers” d) arrive on location to capture each Slimer at various city buildings - but don’t take too long, don’t cross the streams & don’t get slimed, e) recharge your backpack, empty all traps & refresh your 3 GB men at HQ; f) when PK energy reaches 9999 the game ends if you’ve not earned a profit, if you did see the Stay Puft Mash Mellow Man close up and duck past him into Zuul – then watch sparks fly while closing the gateway to the other dimension. The quicker you capture Slimers, the more money you’ll earn. Catch them just as they appear, cause if you wait too long they will escape – right in front of your eyes; Don’t plan a long route only to find you have filled your traps, ran out of power, or your men need a rest at HQ. You’ll hear the non-stop playing of the GB theme song – well done & full length, but still repetitive hearing it constantly for 15+ minutes each round. A music toggle would have been nice, especially in favor of more sound effects or speech. The C64 & Spectrum versions also have speech during the game - when you capture the Slimer “Ghostbusters”, or if you miss, then “He Slimed Me”, and when you get squished by the Marsh Mellow Man, “Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha”
