  1. And now we've moved into the overpassing it stage of the game.
  2. Can't keep the ball 😞 Back to front two doing nothing, zero midfield and defence constantly under pressure.
  3. ... And we've reverted to a bunch of players who've never met before.
  4. Burnley top of the league 🤮
  5. Boro committing a lot of players.
  6. Two goals conceded in two games that were easily avoided.
  7. Boro didn't deserve that goal, Rovers like to gift teams goals.
  8. Unbelievable, against run of play 2-1 but if I'm honest, no one was getting stuck in thinking the half was over. Daft from Rovers.
  9. Goalie the only thing keeping Boro in this.
  10. Haha, I should say I prefer Hedges every time he plays 😄
  11. I'd have chosen Hedges over Gallagher.
  12. 5-3-2 converting to 3-5-2 when attacking?
  13. I agree but my response was to the Brereton getting stick comparison. Even if he was a superstar in the making we need to plan for now, not three years time. We'll come a cropper if we continue to rely on the likes of Hirst to contribute a decent amount of goals.
  14. Do we have three years to wait for Hirst to become a goal machine at 26/27 years old?
  15. He certainly wouldn't have made 23 year old Hirst his main striker target when our only other senior option is Gallagher.
  16. Disappointing that he's not adapting to the squad whilst he builds, and it's indefensible that he's playing Hirst before Dack. Gallagher on the right instead of Hedges. Hedges at fullback when Brittain is on the bench. But it's arguable he wasn't supported, or perhaps we don't have the personnel to do the right deals. Szmodic and Hirst were not his first choices despite what we're led to believe, and he'll have been disappointed we didn't sign another forward. I wouldn't be surprised if he resigns before the end of the season. January will be interesting but I'm anticipating more disappointment.
  17. A roaming Dack or Hirst/Gallagher out of position doing absolutely nothing at all? Seems a simple choice doesn't it 🤷‍♂️
  18. There is another option, just don't say anything at all. Certainly don't say something as patronisingly stupid as George Hirst was our number 1 target and we've been chasing him all Summer.
  19. Looks good to me, I'd have Hedges and Brereton slightly further forward like a 4-3-1-2 and allow Dack to roam. Not going to happen though is it.
  20. When they signed Hirst I put it down to bringing him in as a cheap squad player who had done a decent job at a lower level. We were light in most areas so it seemed reasonable. To have him as our main striker target is moronic. I fully expected them to finally bring in a more established CF as well as Hirst, I forgot we have to massively lower our expectations of the club year after year.
  21. I was willing to cut JDT some slack when he had injuries but now with a full squad he should be doing better against a poor Wigan side who up till last night couldn't win at home. Hirst - why? No Dack - why? Taking Hedges off then putting Gallagher on the right - why? 1-0 down and no urgency - why? Constantly pissing about with the ball around our own box - F*** right off! And Broughton, if you were chasing Hirst all Summer as our main CF, you can too.
  22. And not one decent centre forward in the squad.
  23. For all the talk of shirt pulling on Morton, he had more than enough chances to do a simple pass to Ayala but he was looking for the more difficult pass. Which sums up JDT's time here. And Wigan were awful but better organised.
  24. I wish the penny would drop that we're a club with no strikers.
