  1. Gifted? Replays were inconclusive about the penalty shout and from a couple of angles show that Hedges had his foot on the ball before your player went down. Offside was inconclusive from the angles provided. If it was offside it was very close. You were shit, don't mistake possession for good play. Tony calls himself a performance based manager and values posession and tapping the ball around over three points. I've seen that performance from Rovers many times and we soon realised that's a classic TM performance. Lots of huff and puff but frustrating and very little end result. He never ever learns and if he does hit upon a winning formula he can't help himself but tinker. Also Tony doesn't like to play with strikers. And if he does he plays them on the wing (or even full back!). Ross Stewart will be sold and replaced with a low scoring winger. He'll be playing your oldest defensive midfielder as a false 9. He likes to experiment does bonkers Tony. Get used to the last couple of points. That's Tony, it gets worse!
  2. Apparently a transfer target for Rovers.
  3. Some salty tears from our neighbours tonight, predicting we'll be back down to Earth tomorrow night and beat by Birmingham on Saturday. Probably, but it's nice they've been knocked off their perch tonight and flustered at the thought of not getting all 3 points tomorrow. A must win game for them tomorrow apparently. Sheffield United's recent form down to injuries apparently. Conveniently forgetting that we had almost our entire defence out, along with our only senior centre forward. Be interesting to see how Burnley get on with a large amount of injuries.
  4. Probably thinking... "That c*** turned me into a crap winger."
  5. Brilliant win and some fantastic performances from key players, along with a brilliant goal from BBD. Top of the league, at least for 24 hours 🙂
  6. Useless that from Vale, he had all the time in the world to stay onside. Brittain looks like he's taken a knock there.
  7. Could do with Wharton on.
  8. Szmodic won't be playing at the weekend by the looks of him. Knackered and limping.
  9. Dolan's coming on for Szmodic I think.
  10. Need someone to put their foot on the ball, like Wharton. And someone to run at their defence, like Dolan.
  11. I hope the ball boy is in the BRFCS player ratings. Ten out of ten.
  12. Gone very sloppy now we're 2-0 up.
  13. Brilliant goal from Diaz but the team needs to do better when attacking. We need to kill the game off in the second half. Hedges foot kicked the ball then caught their player, no penalty.
  14. I'm trying to work out what system/formation/everyone's role is but I'll be honest, I haven't a fecking clue.
  15. Has someone got a bet on? WLWLWLWLWLWLWLWLWL for an entire season?
  16. If only someone would throw Tony's tombola out.
  17. I thought Dack played really well against Blackpool then in the next match was poor, but seemed to be playing a more forward role than Blackpool which didn't suit him - and he looked leggy after his efforts midweek. Since then he hasn't really featured. I was hoping for more of what we saw at Blackpool.
  18. He was terrible against West Brom and seemed to continue that with every appearance since. It's a shame as he ended last season very well.
  19. Yes but as we know we can't rely on just Gallagher and Brereton. Not understanding the "they" part of your statement, considering TM chose to play Gallagher anywhere but up front and even thought he could do a job at right back.
  20. He left us with one senior striker in the squad and despite knowing we had several players out of contract seemed happy to just keep mosying along until he was forced to do something about it. Couldn't organise a defence in his entire time with us, or sign a decent full back. Waited half a season to sign Pickering who is a good worker but is continually targetted by opposition managers. Yep I'd be happier that we were in a relegation batter because I disagreed that you said he left us in good shape 🤣😂
  21. Thanks to Mad Tony we've only got one number 9, Gallagher, and neither TM or JDT have trusted him to play him as a number 9. So that's why we don't play with a number 9. If we had a number 9 it would be a good option to have when we're struggling to score. But I agree Hirst isn't the answer.
