  1. I’ve met Shearer and Sutton. Sutton seemed a decent bloke, Shearer was on his own planet, not in a terrible way. He just seemed very focused and elsewhere. Dalglish, Mimms, Flowers all really nice blokes. Flowers an especially friendly person. Dalglish not the dour bloke he was made out to be. Somehow I managed to be in Dalglish’s god like presence twice and was on Granada news shaking hands with him when I was 16. Tony Parkes, Simon Garner, Glenn Keeley down to Earth. Keeley is funny. Berg very quiet. Bohinen the same. Hendry seemed okay. Sherwood, the loudest bast*** at Ewood. Wish I’d have met Jack Walker, I shook his hand when we went up in 92. Never net Newell sadly.
  2. Johnson as a false 9 is something no one should ever witness again too. The big problem with Mowbray is that he’s expecting wingers and central midfielders to do the goalscoring. And there’s a good reason these players were never selected as goal scorers since they were kids.
  3. So, is TM off to Stoke in May?
  4. I think the wheels will come completely off eventually. Especially as he appears to be more delusional than ever believing we can sustain several players out of position whilst playing without any notable strikers.
  5. We also had one of the best managers in the country who players could look up to. Contrast that with Mowbray, arms folded in the corner, muttering to himself like Marvin the paranoid android.
  6. You may get your wish. Pulis is repped by HSH Sports.
  7. I just meant the decision on TM's contract. They won't even know who Farke is. I reckon after 5 years they barely know who Mowbray is.
  8. Daniel Farke but Stoke will likely sign him long before Venkys realise there's an important decision to be made.
  9. There's one standout candidate but Venkys don't do those.
  10. Very true, but Venky's don't tell him to play one footed Giles on the wrong side, Johnson as a false 9 and not buy any strikers.
  11. To me they all looked out of sorts, like some dick had put them all in the wrong position.
  12. Not sure if it'd be better but it certainly wouldn't be worse. He's totally lost the plot. Seeing the stats from previous seasons here and other clubs, he's always been a complete basket case after Christmas.
  13. Mowbray. "From total domination in the opening 20 minutes, the game swung on their substitution, bringing [John] Swift on, who made a huge difference for them. “There wasn’t a tap in that was missed like there was for us, but they started having a few shots. “We started much better in the second half and I felt the goal would come. “It came from what I thought was a pretty poor clearance and it drops to their player and it goes into the top corner. “They had some chances and I thought [Thomas] Kaminski did pretty well for us in goal, making some decent saves," he added. “We stand here again being left frustrated that we’ve not scored away from home. We need to find a way to win games.” Not sure I'd say the first 20 minutes were "total domination". And bringing John Swift on made a huge difference - why didn't you try to sign him Tony? If you are so anti-striker, buy a midfielder who can score and make goals. According to the Reading manager at the time, he was available. You know what Tony, just fuck off, you'd have ended up playing him as a full back anyway. It was an abysmal performance with zero redeeming moments.
  14. True, but right now I'd give a 3 year contract to a speak your weight machine.
  15. What a pathetic journey. Clearly Mowbray's ass headed twin takes over at Christmas.
  16. I'd let Venus take over till the end he did a much better job second half against Derby. Mowbray was perfect in the role of keeping quiet and letting someone else make some sensible decisions.
  17. I'll bite. What makes you think we'll get a change of ownership if we finish mid table?
  18. And being absolutely abysmal in every other area of the pitch, mainly the dugout.
  19. Sadly I can't see us ever having the golden opportunity of promotion ever again. Squandered.
  20. QPR play Peterborough tomorrow, we'll be down to 7th.
  21. Down to 6th, both teams directly below have two games in hand and are now just 2 points away. I can see us ending the season in 10th place or below. There's no way the play offs are happening with TM in charge playing everyone out of position with zero notable goalscorers. Nah, no way. Worse than the Derby first half today. New manager next season.
  22. Because Tony doesn't like strikers. Wingers can do the same job. Problem is they can't.
  23. We've not dominated this one at all.
  24. What role is Hedges doing? Is he a midfielder, a wide player? He doesn't seem to do the role of either.
