  1. The players available weren’t even huge money. Swift at Reading only has months left on his contract and on paper he’s the best attacking midfielder in the league.
  2. Mowbray said he had three lists. Top level, mid level and bottom of the barrel lower league signings. He must have lost his notebook.
  3. Any elderly strikers available? Just anyone with legs basically so if Brereton is out Mowbray can’t play Ayala?
  4. But we were in touching distance of having a very good squad. I’m not sure why we haven’t brought in a goalscorer. I know Butterworth was as much use as a cone in his last couple of appearances but we are now left with two strikers when we’re in second place.
  5. Can Brereton or even Diaz really score 15 more? I hope someone manages to chip in. On the plus side Giles looks a great bit of business. People think he’s cover for Pickering, I think it’ll be the other way round.
  6. I think most of it is wishful thinking. If we manage to stay in the automatics with Brereton’s goals being the main thing keeping us there then Mowbray and Brereton both deserve a move to Barcelona. It’s some ask. We’re now hoping for someone like Hedges, who has scored about 30 odd goals throughout his career to step up.
  7. I can’t remember a time when we’ve had so few options for goalscorers. He must have someone lined up, we’ve got Brereton and Gallagher and we’ve already rode our luck relying on those two. Do we expect Brereton to score 35-40 goals this season?
  8. Who covers the scoring goals?
  9. Piss poor when we’ve so many absentees and we need a goalscorer. I thought Mowbray had 3 lists?
  10. We must have money if we tried to get Dembele.
  11. Why else would we send Butterworth on loan? Chapman has also gone. Both mainly bench warmers granted but as someone else said, that's half of our bench at Luton.
  12. He's scored 33 goals in his ten year career so that's good to know.
  13. Just BBD if Gallagher hasn't recovered from his chest injury.
  14. If that's true we must be bringing someone in.
  15. Whilst I won't knock Gallagher, I can't help thinking that this is a massive missed opportunity to give us a push to get automatic promotion, which would massively help the club to recover financially.
  16. Decent if Markanday hadn't been injured and with Mowbray teasing a couple of signings it will be a disappointment if they don't happen. We've sorted out the defensive problem but he can obviously see we need another goal threat.
  17. Blimey I thought we'd sign a loan and a permanent and was told my expectations were low.
  18. The fact is we have a guy with 20 goals and the nearest to him has 6, and that player isn't played as a striker even when we have no strikers and is by no means first choice. Brereton stops scoring or is out for a sustained period and who is going to provide goals on a consistent basis to keep us in the top two?
  19. We needed another forward or an attacking midfielder who could chip in with 10 goals.
  20. Let's not forget that Parker is a shite manager. But despite that I still think we'll be fighting for a top 6 place. QPR will overtake us. We needed someone to shoulder the burden of knocking goals in and if anyone can't see that they must be either stubborn or need an optician.
  21. So as I said... "Our only fit strikers are Brereton and Butterworth and there seems no urgency to bring anyone else in. I hope I'm wrong. "
  22. Good signing for them, first of many this evening as they seem to want to buy f***ing everyone. The Championships very own version of Newcastle. Shitcastle Ushited.
  23. Dembele would be perfect for the way Rovers play - can play up front or on the wing. Is this the start of Rovers business for this evening? I always thought we'd see a few players going out on loan along with a couple of incomings.
