We were in The Oyster and Otter on Wednesday. They have had a bit of a makeover. The takeaway is now a lounge area where you can sit and have a drink before or after your meal. Or somewhere to wait for your takeaway. They have done a really good job. As always the food was excellent!

I quite liked the guy that was on BBC1 on Fridays a couple of months ago. Simon Hopkinson? Seemed a down to earth northern lad.

It seems like there is a lot of anti Rhinos bias on here. It was a great final, won by THE best team in the modern era. Burrow was awesome, and a dsecent bloke too. You are right about the dislocation though. Gruesome. Wish the guy well.

I have never had a problem with the beer in The Oyster. Wainwright has always been spot on, but a tad expensive! Food always good.

Pork and Black Pudding pie for me. Sensational!

If you are around this area and like your beer, The Watermill Inn at Ings is a must. Lovely cosy pub, fantastic ale selection, decent food and open all day.

Oh for a pint of Lakeland Gold. Lovely! Also partial to the red!

Went to Algheros at Abbey Village on Saturday night. 6 of us accomodated comfortably despite being very busy. Not particularly special, but still very good. Worth a visit.

Despite a lot of local opposition, This is opening in a couple of months. It will be fsacinating to see if it is a success.
