  1. Managed to book a ferry from Holyhead to Dublin 0230 Saturday morning for £17.50 return. Coming back Sunday morning on the 0905. Including hotel in Rathmines comes to £50 all in. (Minus beer tokens of course ) I really enjoyed last year, and looking forward to this years match
  2. Pabby, that is an excellent post. I still have the urge to go to the Rovers like I still have the urge to be married to the wife. Dreading either urge waining
  3. Been up to Ewood this morning and had a mooch around. There is still a sale on. Looks like the last of the old kit gear is being flogged off. Asked the guy at the ticket office how sales of ST's were going, and when they would be posted out: "about 11000 and we should be sending them out around the end of the month"
  4. Good point Rev; I'm the same. The media driven hysteria surely must play a part. Too many plastic football followers have jumped on the 'coolness' of joining a popular band wagon. Like some one mentioned " they can join in the conversation at work the next day". Soon Timbo's exploits at SW19 will be the next label to wear, and pilgrimages to Henman Hill will follow. I am increasingly reaching the stage where I only acknowledge the opinions and observations of people who push the turnstile on a regular basis. So to get any real credence push the turnstile
  5. It sticks in my throat to say so................but England played well, and Rooney has been fantastic. BUT, why has there been little ( if indeed any ) condemnation of Gerrards outragoeus dive 10 minutes or so in? Shocking behavour
  6. To put our prices into perspective; a pal of mine went to watch Chorley Rugby League play Workington yesterday. I think they play 3 or 4 leagues down from Wigen etc. Any Hoo he paid £9!!!!!! Makes my £270 a season an absolute snip
  7. Don't forget the 'chestnut' classic of......................... "A swan can break your arm y'know!"
  8. Souness has been tremendous for Rovers, up until Christmas gone. I feel that the consequences of his heart condition and his medicine regime [granted I am not privvy to the exact details] have combined to null the edge of his passion. So many times we here from players present, and recently departed, about how the "boss has mellowed blah, blah , blah". I want the Souness back who was offering out Journo's in the car park when he first came. Again its only my opinion, but players today can only be 'scared' into performing by good old physical threats! Money fines cannot hurt them alone, but a good chinning, fined and a month in the stiffs might, just might get those with no personal pride to up their work rates. This does not mean that I want TP to hide the bosses pill's; but maybe Souey could move upstairs and back up a younger, hungrier, angrier manager...................... Get Speedie in to work under/with Souness A loud call maybe, but at least Fevre and his crew will earn their corn a bit more
  9. If Souness goes........ I WANT HIM TO STAY.................then the only person I would like to see take the job is George Graham. He would sort out the defence; and not losing games is on the way to winning games. However I am all geared up for Division 1 next season. I am getting that relegation feeling. This form is worse than our relegation season with "doin a great job" Brian. The players then were duds, but it looks like this seasons crop are just as bad. I want it to turn around so badly, but just cannot see how
  10. Bray tickets arrived, was getting a bit worried And could they make them any smaller It feels kinda flat with the Duffer move, but the excitement will build as my self imposed alcohol fast will end in time for the trip
  11. Tickets on sale from Bray Wanderers. Just got my 10, at 15 Euros each for adults. Even the guy on the Bray side cannot understand Duffer wanting to go to Chelsea! Link Here
  12. Joe its a town in Majorcca
