Those hoping for a court turnaround, a precedent is in place meaning unless the court sees a major issue nothing will change!

There is always the chance that the financial investigations have uncovered more evidence since the last hearing. There were objections to the ruling last time, I'm sure there will be this time also.

Why would there be a press reiease?

Do you know how many businesses get these threats every day?

The reality is the bill was paid.

You may have known about it but I would guess 99% of Rovers fans didn't.

The MoU between the club and the Trust requires the club to be open about important financial issues. This winding up order falls into that category and has never been disclosed by the club.

It feels like important news to me.

The owners can't give it at the moment due to Indian tax law changes. There's an hearing in the last week of Janurary as to whether the Venkys can release funds for transfers.

Nothing to do with tax law changes. The  hearing is necessary because Venky's are being investigated for false declarations and tax dodging

How can a manager keep a player happy who is demanding game time when the manager only rates him as 3rd or 4th choice? It's not likes he's a young kid, he's club captain.

Travis wants to move cos the manager doesn't rate him, the player has therefore asked to move. Not sure that can be pinned on the manager. No player has the divine right to be picked.

All clubs need 3rd / 4th choice players for obvious reasons. Our 5th / 6th choices are not good enough for the championship.

From a footballing perspective, we cannot afford to lose Travis from the squad. He should be told to fight for his place.

He will probably be 3rd/4th choice at Ipswich too but they obviously see the benefits of experienced squad players

I’ve come to terms with this lot outlasting us all, who knows maybe not my children (grandchildren?).

Obviously what state the club is in by then is anyone’s guess; houses on Brockhall, Riverside fallen into the River Darwen, ground sharing with Stanley, but lots of ‘progression’ from the minutes on the pitch for the Category 4 academy lads fresh off dodging the dog shit at Pleasy - Goodheart will be pleased.

Have you ever considered writing a dystopian novel ?

BRFC is a distant memory after withering away due to lack of attention - but Civil war still rages between Venkyites and Protesters

At times we were ok and with a little more luck we could have scored 4 goals today.

Don't care what anyone says Leo poor again and should be dropped. He doesn't have a presence in the goal area and is the main reason we are leaking goals.

Totally agree. Compare Leo with Rotherham's keeper today. He is also Swedish with 1 International appearance. He was excellent and cost them nothing.

Fair assessment.  It’s easy to blame Venkys, but they pump in £millions (no one else is willing to step in and replace that money), but if it is spent on dross what can we expect?

And what makes you think there would be no one willing to take on the honour of owning a world famous football club ?

Broughton has been here 2 years Venky's have been here 13 years. It's easy to blame them because they, and nobody else,,are to blame

How many Rovers' staff would lose their jobs in such a situation?

Hopefully very few, if any. The club is probably running with a minimal number of staff as it is. They will still needed post admin.

Suhail would go - that would save a big wage allow retention of necessary staff.  Waggott could be replaced with a more effective but less expensive CEO.

Certain Championship games now being written off is awful to see. Once again, this goes back to the morons at the top who couldn't care less about what is happening. Why bother about promotion when we can just develop players? We'll 'lease' players and play the Academy players, that'll save us some money, right, Mrs Desai? It's easier to use FFP and parachute payments as shields when you don't give a shit. Arrogant cowards, the lot of them, from the Board up.

The message is simple. If it's too costly for you, Balaji, you know what you and the rest of your family can go and do. The way the Indian Government is moving, we might not be too far away from getting what many of us wish for.

Ian Darke (commentator) had it right about us yesterday. He said Rovers have shown a lack of ambition and an inferiority complex from minute one of this game.

'Lack of ambition' and 'inferiority complex'.

I think those two descriptions don't just sum up yesterday, but the entire 13 year operation.

Very disheartening to see us like that yesterday, not getting anywhere near Championship opposition, and it just having to be accepted.

'Lack of ambition' is Rovers in a nutshell. The CEO preaches it.

Only one answer and we all know what that is. New owners

They have what they have and they want it to last so that someone coming into the shop after Christmas still has some choice.

I know what you say is correct, they have a finite number of shirts to sell, but this makes no business sense - please don't buy our stock because we will run out!

They should follow the laws of supply and demand like all other businesses - sell as much as possible as quickly as possible and then re-stock.

If the manufacturers can't provide this flexibility then change manufacturers.

Surely we could have got someone on a free - from the lower leagues, abroad, an out of contract - at least someone who isn't a crock or seemingly straight off Pleasington.

As it stands, they're both a waste of time, as evidenced by Tomasson's refusal to play them.

    Jordan Rhodes -

Only half joking. Short term, free transfer.

9 goals in 10 matches for Blackpool. He would have buried many of the sitters we have missed this season.

For last night's match we were missing Pears, JRC, Hyam, Carter, Pickering, Hedges and Gallagher. That's seven players who would all potentially have started last night. If you take seven key players out of any squad it will have a massive effect.

None of them a vast improvement on the players who were available last night. We have a squad full of mediocre players

  13. I was very disappointed with our approach to the game last night. I always think we should play our strongest team in the latter stages of a cup no matter who the opposition is  . Markanday,  for example, was never going to have an impact against Chelsea and it gives the impression from the off that we are not too serious about trying to win the game. Our only chance against a team so much better and bigger than us is to get stuck in, get them rattled and hope they get riled and make mistakes. I thought Travis and Garrett may have been picked to do this but they hardly put a tackle in. We were never going to outplay them but we insisted in trying to play out of defence and it never transitioned into a serious acting threat and eventually gifted them a goal. We need to be much more direct sometimes as with Leonard 's chance and the goal at Millwall.  Not disgraced at all last night but I don't think we ever had enough belief in ourselves and I think the manager needs to work on that.

I'm going to need you all to be extremely careful about what you post on this subject. As a reminder by creating an account you have taken all liability for your posts and given me permission to share data we have about you with relevant authorities if asked.

I hate Venky's and hope they get their comeuppance.

Happy for the relevant authorities to know that

I could be wrong but I still think nothing will happen, but surely if it does this would be pretty bad for the club anyways? They own the training ground and we owe them 200 million pound. They could just drag us down with them. Surely the most optimistic we could be is they say fuck it and try and offload the club for whatever they can get but they already have sunk 200 million and show no signs of that.

Venky's have been bad for the club since they showed up. There is no real positive outcome either way.

If they leave they may well keep the training ground for a future sale which would be a massive blow.

If they stay longer we will suffer a continued, lingering decline and eventually see them disappear - probably along with the training ground.

Best all round if they go now and we start the recovery from whatever situation they leave us in.

  16. I thought Coventry were awful but unfortunately, we have the uncanny ability to play slightly worse than the opposition no matter how good or bad they are.

Very little quality in our team. No conviction in anything we do. No leaders.  Look at the last 10 minutes after we went behind - we hardly got the ball in the box and continued to tip tap the ball around in areas of the pitch that caused the opposition no problems at all.

No goal threat and a shaky defence. All the traits of relegation candidates.

We have played some entertaining football at time this season but there is nowhere near enough desire to win. No belief either.

For me all Rovers need is a finisher. Wr have created chance after chance that goes begging. A half decent forward would have bagged 15 goals this season such is the multitude of chances.

I agree, with a decent striker results could have been so much different - which begs the question, why play this way without a decent striker - it's not going to work.

Same last season when we constantly tried to walk the ball out of defence when we didn't have defenders who were capable of doing it.

In both cases we are not playing to our strengths - the opposite in fact.
