Summer Transfer Window 2019
Bigdoggsteel replied to Neal's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I'm not knee jerking to anything to be honest. I am actually thinking of taking a break. At this time of year , when nothing is happening for most clubs and all you have is rumours and gossip, the football threads on here fill up with repetitive untruths and negativity. I'm not judging, people are free to say what they like. As I said, I think I will just take a break and only come on here when we sign players. I probably just fitted in better during our horrific run, because we were all on the same page then and there wasn't much that could be said other than outrage. I am one of ye regardless, whether ye like it or not ? -

We might have had a minuscule chance of getting him on loan with Liverpool subsidising his wages. Now that he is a free agent, we haven't a hope. He is a crock and weak mentally, but someone higher up the food chain than us will take a chance on him. -

We have 1 player considering an offer. 1. Not a couple. We are the same as many, many other clubs in that regards. At last count 4 Championship clubs had made signings. I'm not argumentative, I just point out silliness. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to get to all of it -

We don't have 5-6 players mulling over contract offers. Every club has squad players. You have no idea that we lack either urgency or wiggle room. -
I see this has been removed and replaced by a section for individual players. Personally I think the "where are they now" thread served it's purpose well. Sometimes it's just a post or two about some obscure player. Not sure they all warrant their own thread.

Former Blackburn star according to the Mail. Can't say I have heard of him https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7106667/Wife-ex-football-star-arrested-sex-married-cop-park-ride-car-park.html

It was a stupid segment because they would never ask the questions people want asked. Even kids left to ask themselves would ask more insisive questions. The organisation is confused in pretty much everything it does. Sweet jesus imagine Brock does win the title at SSD. That will be grim. They should come up with some way for him not to win after cashing in, perhaps with the new day helping Kofi or Reigns and a new shield member helping Rollins. You could give a guy some push by putting him in the shield. They would probably pick someone silly though. Personally I would go with Buddy Murphy. If they went heel shield at some point, I think Samoa Joe would be an interesting addition. They will probably go with a face shield and Randy Orton as the 3rd member, someone who doesn't need the push and is not a good face. I mean if Brock wins, what is the plan for the year? Same old, same old. They could really pair Heyman with someone new at this stage too. A Finn Balor heel turn would be good. Never going to happen though. He's a cash cow as a bland face, who occasionally and with no explanation turns into a demon. I think they could do some interesting stuff with Heyman and the demon stuff. Even Braun would be better than Brock at this stage.

As for Lio Rush, waste of talent. He would never do much in WWE anyway due to his size, but it seemed they were pushing him a bit. I wouldn't be surprised if the next ones to jump ship were; Rush, Luke Harper, Sasha Banks and the Revival. That "thing" a few weeks ago between the Usos and the Revival and the "back shaving story line" was pathetic even by WWE standards. It made the Revival come across as stupid and the Usos dislikeable. I can just imagine Vince laughing at it. Like I know it's for kids, but don't take a bottle from your rivals with "Uce juice" or some similar nonsense written on the bottle. The Revival could have been great, but the way they were treated as champions, particularly after waiting so long to get the belts, showed everything wrong with the WWE.

Best keeper in the league arguably. It seems they are struggling to appoint a manager though, so could be worth a shot -

Mowbray should use his Boro connections and swoop in for Randolph now that they have no manager. I would be happy to see us spend £4-5 million on him. -
This whole planned cash in thing ruins everything good about the MITB concept. Ya, the Saudi shows are plain wrong. Blood money whatever way they try and dress it up. Like who needs to see the Undertaker V Goldberg now? They will probably have The Undertake V Sting at some point. Absolutely, Corbin is bland, yet being pushed in various heel roles, many times with no back story or explanation. They had Drew Mcintyre destroy the shield for a few weeks, next thing that's over and he is now playing "goon number 1" in Shane McMahons gang. Then occasionally they put McIntyre, Corbin and Lashley together with no explanation other than they are "baddies". Lashley could just show up as a face then next week, with no explanation and that will be his new shtick. Where is Lio Rush actually? I thought he had something, interesting ring style and confident on the mic.

Firefly Funhouse is interesting, but it will inevitably be ruined for a finish. They will probably have him lose pretty soon after re-debuting As for Brock not cashing in for 3 weekas, I think they are going to run with this "will he/won't he" stuff for another 6 months I know, it's stupid. Shane and his rotating gang of goons, no backstory, no contingency. It's WWE all over.

I agree it is dragging on a bit now. Is he out of contract the end of June? I wonder if he is looking for a better offer from a monetary point of view or more game time? Either one is a bit worrying as he should be prepared to back himself and try get in the team, unless he is resigned to the fact he will never be a consistent starter under Mowbray.... I don't think we will be in the shit if he doesn't sign, but it will mean we have to recruit another body I hope he signs -

Good keepers make it all look easy. The save from Moura in particular was an excellent one. Got down like lightening to it. He was solid from crosses as well. -

No, but we have the internet. Why would I have a map of England anyway? What is your deduction from the map so smart ass? Not sure how it explains why Boro and Sunderland both class Newcastle as a rival but not each other- care to enlighten us headens with your knowledge? -
Prime example of this 2 weeks ago. Brock comes out pretending that the MITB briefcase is a boom box. The next week the briefcase is an actual boom box. So stupid. Looked back to normal this week going off a picture I saw on Twitter, so they either changed it because of fans saying it was stupid, in which case(pardon the pun) should they not have known this would be the reaction? There are many examples of this, a character organically does something and then the WWE ruin it by absolutely hammering it to death. Moxley mentioned in his interview that VKM is obsessed with props. You could see his fingerprints all over the stupid beatbox briefcase. I actually liked the idea for MITB, but now it has been made into a shit show as well.

Ya, you are right actually. Read some of the thread there. It seems they both keep their animosity for Newcastle. What's that about? -
Final wrestling peeves I can think of today and it's a pure WWE issue. 50/50 booking, champions losing non title matches CONSTANTLY and no respect being shown to tag teams. Look at the revival and Bayley and Sasha banks, ideal teams to hold the belts for a long time after eventually winning them. What happens? They repeatedly lose non title matches before dropping the belts after about 2 months. It just really shows that the creative process there is shite.

Intergender doesn't do it for me either. A spot now and again, fine, but full blown matches? No. It's just another side effect of PC culture. I like watching women's wrestling. I like men's wrestling. It feels now if you say you don't like Intergender you are being anti women. I now it's fake, but do I have to suspend belief to the point where 5 foot tall women are beating 6 foot 5 men

I know but when hogan used the leg drop, times were different. I think finishers must be protected. This stuff of kicking out of 5,6,7 F-fives is stupid. I mean where does it end? I think Reigns kicked out of 5, so when they want to get the next Reigns over, what will happen? Will they have him kick out of 10?

I don't see how signing him will impact on fees for transfers. Conway and Downing leaving will free up more in wages than we will pay Stewart Downing. -

Out of the 4 you mention, who many have won anything or being promoted? Mulgrew is the stand out. We need guys with experience of winning things and being promoted. Granted, they don't have to be 35!
