  1. That's a good mix of different types of striker. Target man in Madine, nippy and mobile lad in Hogan, technically very good player in McGoldrick and quality finisher in Sharp. I don't know much about Clarke. Looking at that, another striker here is def needed!
  2. Some interesting links. I don't see Austin doing the work Graham does as not sure his body would be up to it. A goalscorer though, which is priceless. Should be an exciting day tomorrow. Hopefully we won't end up empty handed! There should be a Meltdown clock on here....
  3. His previous conduct? What conduct was that now, honoring a contract he signed fair and square?
  4. It was definitely available in some form when Gallagher played for us. It was the season we went down and I was definitely subjected to many games under Coyle.
  5. Maybe they would have if they weren't under an embargo which restricts their transfer dealings. You should really do a bit of reading around football On the 4000 holes, i knew it was from a Beatles song, but still nobody has answered my question as to why the Rovers fanzine is called after it. Perhaps you could enlighten us?
  6. You can watch practically alll of our games live on ifollow. How do you not know that? So between that and sky I watched almost every game he played for us. So, I'll ask again, how many times did you watch him play for Birmingham?
  7. Surprising he hasn't been linked away this month. Do clubs know it is hands off?
  8. Stories are broken here before Sharpe breaks them. That tells you all you need to know!
  9. It's better than him sitting on the bench
  10. You don't need to see a player in the flesh to know what they are like. I have A 65 inch 4K tv which I connect my Laptop when watching games. I can see plenty. Seeing him more in the flesh doesn't make you more of an expert. In fact you mentioned his spell at Birmingham showing he hasn't kicked on. How many times did you watch him play for them, in the flesh or on TV?
  11. Mmm That's different from Mowbray not having the final say on signing him. I would take all that with a pinch of salt to me honest. Sounds a bit too verbatim to be real. Plus more experienced players who were't getting game time went with the under 23s, so I don't see why anyone would stop Brereton going with them. However I do think a spell with the under 23s would be good.
  12. "As with" How so definite? I haven;t seen any sources say Mowbray doesn't have the final say on players
  13. Well time will tell on that. He seemed inury prone to me. Hopefully he can build himself up to the point where he is able to contribute week in week out for prolonged periods.
  14. Just as everyone on here is in arguably a less educated manner. Talk of 60,70 grand are ludicrous
  15. https://www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/britt-assombalonga-boro-outbid-various-13345323 It is understood the move will double his £20,000 Forest wages and includes rich goal bonuses There you go
  16. I can't watch this at work, but I did a few months ago. I don't remember BA being mentioned. Perhaps he is though, I can't fully remember all the names
  17. He is a young lad. I thought he looked good here. Quick, strong and could finish. I am basing my opinion on what I have seen, not his Wikipedia.
  18. It is a bit of a risk alright, but a lot depends on 2 factors The joining players attitude, application and personality How he plays If those pieces are good, the wages will move down the list. The other players want success at the end of the day
  19. 109 appearances for a 23 year old is pretty good. I liked what I saw of him here and he played his best stuff in a Rovers shirt as well.
  20. Indeed and we are in the best position we have ever been for promotion since going down. If ever there was a time to take a gamble, it's now. The rewards are incredible.
  21. Why is the Rovers fanzine called 4000 holes? I was reading today that the Middlesborough fanzine "Fly me to the moon" is named after a quote a Boro manager made about our own Tony Mowbray
  22. I would still be happy with Gallagher to be honest. I reckon he would have goals in him in this team. On a permanent it would be a petty exciting transfer We are building a good young team
  23. If Villa aren't yet, don't see how we would be. Plus there are always sales. For the first time in a while, we have a lot of sellable assets.
  24. Precisely, in the position we are in even paying all of his wages is a gamble worth taking.
  25. There is nowhere you can check or confirm if a bid is made. That's not how it works!
