  1. You can't be thinking like that. I like Gallagher, but Assombalonga would be a far more exciting signing. He is proven Championship quality.
  2. It's already curly, but I think it curled a bit more reading that. I wonder who the highest paid player in the Championship is
  3. I like the craft stuff myself, which is a little bit more pricey-that ok?
  4. £50,000 a week at Boro? Christ almighty!!!!!
  5. On loan, crazier signings have happens.
  6. Probably, but I don't think he was signed because we were afraid of losing Dack.
  7. I hope he doesn't because Bristol are one of our direct rivals for the play-offs Or just as back up for Dack
  8. I think you missed my point and I never used the word greed. The point is why risk moving to a bigger team or a bigger challenge after only just getting back somewhere near his best? I am sure he knows it is in his best interest to stay here. He had the big wages, but was miserable. I am sure at this point he would prefer to be happy on £10-15,000 a week, rather than unhappy on £70,000. I know I would.
  9. It depends how this season goes. Obviously if we somehow manage to achieve the dream and go up, he won't leave and I think even if we go close, that will be enough to encourage him to stay here and have a right good go at promotion next season. Fulham held onto Cairney when everything pointed to him leaving, same with Grealish and Villa. Obviously we can't hold onto him indefinitely if we don't go up, but I think we could get one more season.
  10. True, but Mowbray seems to communicate with and relate well to players. I am sure these are the conversations he is having with Rodwell. Agents or not, I think after what has gone on in Rodwells career, a new contract here is the best plan for himself first and foremost. A move somewhere else would be an enormous risk for him. He might make more money in the short-term but what good is a 1 or 2 year deal somewhere else if he stops playing well or moves somewhere and the manager is sacked. I would be very surprised if he doesn't end up staying here.
  11. I think at this stage of his career, after all that has happened , if Rodwell has an ounce of sense or someone to offer him solid advice, he will keep playing as he is and not look to move anywhere else. The reality is if he keeps playing as he is, we will offer him a deal. The reality also is that he will have other offers. The guy is class when fit. For his career, moving somewhere else now ,solely for a bigger pay packet would be a huge risk for him IMO. Another bad move and he is back to the nightmare scenario he was in at Sunderland. I can't see him signing for any team but us. You could see what the goal meant to him on Saturday. How his teammates celebrated. For a professional player who has had the experience he has had, that must be priceless.
  12. You don't think he is? Are you his spokesperson? Because he said he wasn't referring to me and you say he wasn't referring to Chaddy. So just who was he referring to then? Can you give us a quote please. The public awaits.
  13. Very confusing post. Anyway as I said, it doesn't bother me. Ultimately we should have bet Charlton, we had the chances. We didn't. Still went up and are now doing far, far better than Wigan. Those who are even bringing this up now, are ye just looking for something to moan about due to us currently performing so well? It's so far in the rear view mirror at this point. Why bother?
  14. At the end of the day, nobody wants to be competing for the league 1 trophy. Those who claim its important-name the last 10 winners. Actually who won it the season before Wigan? I am sure Rotherham have won a few, Burton too. I just don't care. It's a nothing trophy. The prize is promotion. We should be looking up, not down.
  15. To be honest promotion was all that mattered last season. Just like this season. First, second or through the play offs. I couldn't care less which one. Anyone of them will be mission accomplished. Just like last season. Does anyone care that we didn't win division 1 under Souness? Anyway, these conversations are ultimately pointless. What's done is done, it's water under the bridge now.
  16. I was disappointed when I saw the team, but I got over it pretty quickly and it hadn't bothered me since. Give me 2nd in league 1 and our current position ahead of the league 1 title and where Wigan are now any day of the week.
  17. It is indeed all about opinions. I really like Bennett as a player. Just checked about Bennett there. No caps, but was called into the Jamaica squad. Surprising he has no caps. Worse players have played for them!
  18. Can't think of many championship strikers I would take over him.
  19. Bennett has only played a handful of games centre mid though. He looked energetic, but to say he should replace an international centre midfielder is a bit of a leap!
  20. Not, really. We only lost by a goal and had chances to win it. I will admit that if we played our first choice 11 we would have probably won and if we really needed to win the game we should have. Look anyway, we all now know it was part of Mowbrays long plan for this season...
  21. Wow. I like Bennett. But I don't think he would have a centre mid performance like Evans put it today in him
  22. Not sure who you are referring to Stuart, I never went away!
  23. They are doing pretty well to have scouted our current team though. Travis and Reed in particular. Great scouting there. Bell looking impressive too You are getting your knickers in a twist about us being linked with certain names we have heard before. Well, we heard them before and they ain't here, so... Maybe it's just rumours.
  24. Do you still think that
