Wigan are gone with those fixtures left.

Personally, I think 49 will do it, so 2 wins from 4 remaining. I can't see BOTH Burton & Forest picking up 5 or more points. Win on Monday and I think we'll do it, either way it's going to go down to Brentford away, let's hope it'll be similar to Wolves away a few year ago.

Burton probably have the worst run in from here.

It's amazing how it's twisting and turning from game to game and how teams are handling, or in some cases not, the pressure.

    Only if

    1. Steele was the keeper for the opposition

    2. Rovers budget has enough coppers left for the brown envelope.

I fear we would miss the penalty anyway.

Who will take our penalties if Conway and Graham aren't on the field I wonder?

I just noticed our game is at 3. I thought it was at 8, as I am working today!

If you like Until Dawn then I would suggest getting Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls. Heavy Rain is very similar in terms of your choices have actual consequences  (unlike Telltale games). Some of the quick time events in it had me literally jumping out of my seat.

Beyond is more linear but there's still enough space for you to go through each chapter a bit differently, Ellen Page plays the main character and she does it superbly. Real world class acting. Willem Dafoe also lends his acting credentials to the game.

Both made by the same developer and two really fantastic and beautifully written stories.

I've been an avid player of Skylines in the past, best city building sim going as far as I'm concerned. It's alleviating traffic that is the key!

For any theme park sim fans out there I'd recommend playing Planet Coaster. I've sunk quite a few hours into it in just a couple of weeks.

I played heavy rain. Loved it. Especially the twists in the storyline. Really well done. Also I thought the detective looked like big Sam :) I must give beyond two souls a go. Actually, have you played Fahrenheit?, The predecessor to both those games and arguably better than heavy rain imo.

I lost a good 6 months to Fallout 4. Brilliant game and so so so much content in it.

I will probably go back to it at some stage. It just seemed very similar to 3. The graphics, characters, right down to the music. Plus I have no brilliant guns at the moment to explode some mutant heads.  Have you played 3?

How many skint clubs sign player coaches on 8k pwk ?

If you remember back the coaching thing only came out after he'd been here ages but was nowhere near getting fit. They signed him as a player and tried to get him fit but when it wasn't happening and it was under scrutiny Coyle came out with he's helping the coaches with the kids.

How do you know he is on €8000 per week?

Ya, that may be the case. Terrible signing from an on the field standpoint. Him and Greer to replace Duffy and Hanley. We then end up with 2 midfielders playing center half in Lenihan and Mulgrew. Incredible stuff when you think about it.

In fantasy land it might be a romantic prospect but in reality it's horrific and will send us straight through the other end of that division. There is no old school Crewe Alexandra Dario Gradi story going to unfold here i'm afraid.

Going off the stories coming out about Crewe over the past few months, I would not want any links to them to be honest. The only stories coming out of there are about cover ups.

A good leader kicked everybody including some team mates.

Dont make many like him these days.

Edit: completely forgot that he was with us for a short spell

Who could we go for this summer? We are going to need some grizzly veterans as the big fish in League 1

A good moment to remember that the bottom 4 in the Third Division are all automatically relegated.

I also suspect that our better U23s have a good chance of being sold.

You need at least a couple of 'hard men' öin L1 or youth would be kicked off the pitch. They still allow tackles in the lower leagues.

Remember the guy Man city had in League 1, Andy Morrison?

  9. Not exactly a new game, but I am currently playing through Until Dawn. Really enjoying it. Only got my PS4 a few months back. Got the Witcher 3, MGS 5, Fifa 17 and Fallout 4 with the console.  Out of those games I have definitely played Fifa the most, damn you ultimate team. Of the others I have to say I enjoyed The Witcher the most. I found MGS 5 just overly complicated ,with too much going on. What is it with all games just getting too complicated with stats , menus and different routes? I loved fallout 3, but I think since then it's pretty much been more of the same with those games. I may go back to it. I downloaded a nice little game last week called Mother Russia bleeds. It is like Streets of rage for adults. Really enjoying it so far.

    Anyone got any recommendations?

It would be a brave manager to put a few of these kids in as starters against Forest and Bristol C. Has TM got the guts to do it.

No doubt Bigdogsteel will once again remind me that now is not the time to be blooding youngsters.

Why wait until we are mathematically down? I think the Barnsley game showed us the true incompetence of the current oldies.

Let the youngsters have a crack for the next 5 games.

I always said, if they are good enough, play them. I'm just not sure they are good enough if Mahoney is the best of them. I like Tomlinson from what I have seen, but he has already been blooded, so I would have no concerns putting him in. I would bring Ward and Stokes back in, so we don't have to just throw youngsters in for the sake of it. Don't forget that young footballers are pampered little brats these days by and large. I wouldn't be confident a team of them would be the answer at this stage.

I don't know. It doesn't say much for TM that he can't get at least some of them organised.

Also I hear he's using the word hope a lot. That doesn't fill me with much confidence - I'd like to think a manager had more of a plan than hopefully it'll come together. Nowhere near the levels of ineptitude of Clueless, but it's worrying when the manager is seemingly throwing in the towel.

I think the fact that the players have seemed incapable of following his instructions in the past 5 games has led him to lose faith in process and to focus more on hope. Unfortunately.

  12. It is more to do with the fact that some of them don't have the hunger or interest in doing it for this club. Their minds are elsewhere. As such when the time comes to win a 50/50 or make a burst to get back and defend, they choose the easy option.

Then you have the players who just aren't good enough.

There are also few that do genuinely care, but they look around then and see the loans, the out of contractors, who just aren't pulling their weight. It's a recipe for our impending, bar a freak set of results, drop to league 1.

“I wouldn't say there was a lack of passion and desire to get a result for this team .I think there was a lack of knowledge of where to stand, where to play and how to play, when to play it long and if we’re playing long we have to follow it up and if we’re playing short then we have to create angles to get in positions to move the ball forward"

Is Mowbray damning himself here, the previous management, the players, or just English football in general?

    I would say players.

    I'm with you.

I've seen so many strange and unexpected things happen in football over the years.  Teams simply implode and lose many consecutive games on the trot, conversely, from nowhere, teams find it in themselves to reel off a handful of consecutive wins.  Football is so unpredictable otherwise the bookies would be out of business.

Yesterday was a horrendous day with our defeat and other results but we are not dead and buried yet.

Our task is now that much harder but you just have to hope.

It was the manner of defeat, coupled with good performances from our rivals and next 2 opponents. I can't see us beating them.
