  1. Sheff Utd...or the Blunts as @CP Company Lad used to call them. Lets hope he had a good scrap to compensate
  2. They signed 4 players in January, at least two of whom have contributed. Which players have come back and contributed? Again though, I'll return you back to the point. It's not about last season it's about where we were in January, which was above PNE. They've kicked on because they invested. We stood still.
  3. Sharp's prediction...but he's been wrong before too
  4. That would be my guess if it is 3 at the back. I just think he'll want to protect Maglorious.
  5. 3-4-2-1 is my guess. Same as Wigan I'd have thought?
  6. 3 at the back again looks like. Hopefully Rothwell and Dack in behind Graham. Rothwells best position I'd suggest, certainly more suited to it than AA. Bennett left wing back?
  7. They've moved forwards from January, which is the period under discussion. They aren't the Invincibles either if you want to use that in the future?
  8. http://www.thehardtackle.com/news/2018/05/26/transfer-news-manchester-united-tracking-blackburn-rovers-wonderkid-jake-garrett/ From last year^
  9. 10 games unbeaten would suggest he's doing something right. Going back to basics is the way he plays though isn't it? I can't imagine it will ever differ much under Bruce. Only 4 goals conceded in the last 10 games is impressive.
  10. Rothwell wasn't free and he can't get in the team, just like BB and just like Chapman when he was last here. Tony's homework this summer is to spend money on players that actually improve the team. Not £7m 'youth projects'.
  11. I know mate. But for £7m you'd want 'a really good manager' to be able to get more than a just 'youth project'. Unless of course we are the Real Madrid of t'north.
  12. Yep, and mostly always 442. Similar to Hughes in that respect. Bruce knows the value of a quality defence and doesn't try to complicate things.
  13. £7m 'youth prospect' LOL.
  14. If you've watched one Steve Bruce team you've watched them all.
  15. They aren't the norm at all. The key word was 'net'. Go through last summers spends. Rovers were about 6th or 7th highest 'net' spenders in the Championship. The teams that spend a lot have normally come down from the Prem and have sold 2 or 3 stars for big money. Most clubs in the Championship still spend very little 'net'.
  16. The frustration is that we didn't try to improve In Jan when 1 average Championship CB capable of heading the ball and defending properly could have made a huge difference. All we got instead was the Mowbray Shrug. Very very annoying. Hope the pub was good?
  17. We'll never know but we're only 9 points away after getting 1 point from 21.
  18. One CB would have made a huge difference.
  19. You're conviently forgetting as a club we've spent/committed £10m NET since last summer. Practically unheard of in the Championship. The farm has already been bet, which nobody was arguing for anyway. People, quite rightly, were instead wondering why Mowbray didn't strengthen when we were in a superb position. Its not like our porous defence was new to him. He was complacent and the club has spent the last 6 weeks paying for it. Bet the farm FFS! You mean like Preston did. Oh hang on, they just made a few good additions in January from the lower leagues relatively cheaply and are now reaping the rewards.
  20. I think QF and SF get drawn at same time. A City v Liverpool or Barcelona final looks a good bet.
