I have thought it for months now ..we get wins when the opposition aren't up to it and the lads take it upon themselves. He has very little to do with it by the looks of it. Even the shape today is all over the shop.

I don't think players not signing new contracts is a sign that things aren't great around Ewood or the club and they all want out. I could be wrong but I imagine it's purely financially, I get the impression that most that have left recently would have stayed if we stumped up or had better contracts in place. Simple fact is we are making it easy for them to look elsewhere when if they were tied into a contact it wouldn't be on the forefront of their minds. It's down to poor management from the powers that be at Ewood. When they get into their last 12 months of their contracts their eye starts to wonder. Sends an awful message too when they haven't been approached to sign a new deal when other clubs are showing them love and better terms than us. Not having to pay a fee makes them alot more attractive to other teams, an issue we could avoid if they had 2-4 year deals. It deters teams and keeps your assets alot more secure, make it a little easier to swallow if they do go but you get a suitable fee to soften the blow.

Fancy a win here today but don't rule out a 1-1 and an unwanted replay. Nice to have an interest in the cup games these days. Very winnable.

João would be ideal imo but I do fear as someone else pointed out that he won't be considered due to age and wages. He is just gone 29, hardly over the hill. Don't like the fairly rigid plan we appear to have on focusing purely on youth and resale. If you get enough of those right then the cost of the João's of this world will seem quite minimal.

There is an increasing volume of clowns on here that appear to log in not to give their own opinions but to question others opinions. Very strange approach, more interested in aggro than contributing any of value or worth. Quite pathetic really.

That could change come the end of the season depending how both teams fair so let's just see how it goes I say. Happy enough to get him on board as we do lack pace and a bit of creativity at the moment so best of luck to the lad.
