  1. Very fair and accurate assessment. Josh Cullen is quality. Cork and Brownhill are ideal championship midfielders, battlers but with quality too. Very envious of their options. Stating the obvious but you need a tough battling midfielder in the championship. We seem to be going way too lightweight and technical, you need a Barton, Whitehead, Cattermole, Leadbitter type. Alan Browne and Whiteman at PNE are decent options. Fleck, Norwood at SU. Alex Mowatt. Howson and Hogg are too old now but that ilk. There is plenty about. Harrison Reed still stings.
  2. He seemed to think in November he would be leaving in January if the club gave the green light and had plenty of offers but that seems to have changed now. There is an option to extend and personally I think we should, the club have invested alot in his recovery and rehab, hopefully he stays fit and features more and more this season and next.
  3. Highlighting games that he has been horrendous to try and praise is a new low 😂
  4. Spot on. Crazy Buckley is STILL getting plaudits after a horror season and a poor overall season last season too. He has been awful this year. Any decent game is praises to the hilt and his horror shows are simply ignored for a few days then it's back to praising him. Total liability. Morton is not a world beater yet but to compare the 2 is laughable. One is on the books and highly rated at Liverpool under one of the best managers in the world..the other is contributing nothing and is struggling to get into a championship team. He is only featuring due to lack of options. Needs a good kick up the arse. It's a bit sad that to big up Buckley the approach is to tear Morton down. He's played alot better than Buckley this season. We need a new midfield and tbf one that is an upgrade on Buckley and Morton.
  5. Reckon it was a gamble that didn't pay off. Only down the road so no big house or area move. Probably thought he would be first choice given there squad so would play consistently and then get a better move this summer. Hasn't paid off but I'd have him back here in a heartbeat. Was a massive fan. Seemed a good lad too.
  6. Shout out to the unsung hero in Ryan Hedges. His work rate and engine is top class and he is technically better than he gets credit for. Brilliant.
  7. Have to say I don't care about the performance today at all. Early kick off, dodgy pitch, out of form, shithouse opposition. I'll take the win all day.
  8. Very cheap in possession now..calm it fucking down.
  9. Those substitutions make me feel quite uncomfortable
  10. What a massive shock we have caused them massive problems with the ball over the top. Have scored off it and had at least 3 other chances as a result of the same method. Took long enough for the penny to drop with JDT. It's the CHAMPIONSHIP not the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE Jon.
  11. I'm the same...more optimistic than realistic.
  12. I'm the same...more optimistic than realistic.
  13. We are in a great position here, important to not fuck it up. The pitch will actually work in our favour now as it's hard to play on and should be easier to defend the lead. Can't afford to let these back into it.
  14. He will definitely do the Rooney 😂
  15. That booking for Hedges is ridiculous... literally had no affect on the time. Players do the all the time when a goal is scored. Boot it in joy...what a joke.
  16. We've had some amount tbf 😬😂
  17. Get the fuck in there Dacky!! Got your reward pal...direct and effective! Whoooo!!
  18. Hoping for a 1-0 win here...the game escapes me but it's similar to one recently where the weather was shite and the pitch heavy and BBD scored a lovely glancing header and we nicked it 1-0. Was it Preston a few months back?
  19. That's exactly what he does. Clear to see. Suck it and see method.
  20. Agree actually but he has been involved and maybe the expectations are lower but it's encouraging imo. If I'd give anymore an allowance it's him, even from a humane point of view.
  21. Not a bad half. Positives: Less fannying around at the back. More direct balls when needed. Dacks played very well. Hedges busy and making things happen. Garrett has played well bar the silly booking. BBD looking better than previous weeks. Negatives: Not enough creativity or urgency. Not based on today solely but wing backs need upgrading. Gally been poor.
  22. He is just a bit injury prone and inconsistent...can be silly on his day.
