  1. There is something magical about seeing Dacky out there playing away. The way he passes and lays it off is with conviction and purpose. Always looks crisp and sharp. Willing him to find a place in the team/squad. A championship Scholes.
  2. Vale is limited but he looks miles better than Hirst. There is a present and directness about Vale. Obviously doesn't seem good enough to be first, second or even third choice but wonder could he be ok as a proper reserve team player? Thoughts?
  3. Has it been anyway glitchy for you? I have it on and I'm wondering is it the feed or maybe my WiFi?
  4. Does seem plausible...he body language comes across quite poor and looks miserable at times. Certainly not buoyant and full of exciting youth. Maybe it's just an immature thing but again, it does seem all is not well there. I spoke to one of the players awhile back and it was just after Adam Wharton got a few games, around the Blackpool game and I said "Adam Wharton looks a baller" and he just glossed over it, talked about a few other players and got feedback on all bar Wharton. Wonder is there an attitude problem there now?
  5. I agree. This is the most obvious indicator that all is not right...judging from afar I could imagine JDT wouldn't take too kindly to a youngster being unhappy. You need to manage the situation though and make sure we don't lose a top talent due to ego and pride.
  6. Those people weather they like to admit it or not were wrong...very very wrong.
  7. While I agree that the trend of letting top assets walk for free I'd be quite disappointed to see BBD leave for 5 or 7 mil. We really need to be getting top dollar for our players given there age and ability. In today's market if BBD has 2 or 3 years to run you are probably getting 20-25 mil. Even that is small money to PL teams. You get very little for 5mil these days let alone a 23 year old Chile international who is improving all the time. No brianer imo for PL teams if he is available for 5-10mil.
  8. I know it was speculative but Armstrong is getting game time for Southampton and has just scored vs Palace in the cup. Non runner.
  9. Got excited thinking it sounded like it could be something along those lines and went for a gander..seems the norm for him to post that caption. Here is one from the recent holiday, sorry, training camp 😉
  10. Where are people seeing that we are back in for an old target?
  11. I didn't know there was an official answer 🤣
  12. Disagree. A week between games is loads of time. Managers and the media would have us believe these days that they need breaks every couple of games. They are match fit, training sessions merely keep ticking over and work on shape and set pieces etc. They have physios and masseurs at their disposal 24/7, a week between games is cushy out.
  13. Feel oddly bad for Hirst. I don't think it's down to him as a person I just don't think he is very good. Weather he got a leg up because of his Dad or whatever but the simple fact is he doesn't seem anywhere near championship standard. He hasn't had much of a run but in his cameos he's been poor. Surprised to read he is 24 next month. He will end up in league one I imagine. Best to part ways now anyway.
  14. Yeah and for peanuts too 🤢
  15. Class act. Loved him here and if we moved quicker we probably would have got him permanently. Once Fulham came in it was dead in the water.
  16. There was 6 clubs interested in the championship.
  17. I would say that probably the sensitive approach
  18. Very fair and accurate assessment. Josh Cullen is quality. Cork and Brownhill are ideal championship midfielders, battlers but with quality too. Very envious of their options. Stating the obvious but you need a tough battling midfielder in the championship. We seem to be going way too lightweight and technical, you need a Barton, Whitehead, Cattermole, Leadbitter type. Alan Browne and Whiteman at PNE are decent options. Fleck, Norwood at SU. Alex Mowatt. Howson and Hogg are too old now but that ilk. There is plenty about. Harrison Reed still stings.
  19. He seemed to think in November he would be leaving in January if the club gave the green light and had plenty of offers but that seems to have changed now. There is an option to extend and personally I think we should, the club have invested alot in his recovery and rehab, hopefully he stays fit and features more and more this season and next.
  20. Highlighting games that he has been horrendous to try and praise is a new low 😂
  21. Spot on. Crazy Buckley is STILL getting plaudits after a horror season and a poor overall season last season too. He has been awful this year. Any decent game is praises to the hilt and his horror shows are simply ignored for a few days then it's back to praising him. Total liability. Morton is not a world beater yet but to compare the 2 is laughable. One is on the books and highly rated at Liverpool under one of the best managers in the world..the other is contributing nothing and is struggling to get into a championship team. He is only featuring due to lack of options. Needs a good kick up the arse. It's a bit sad that to big up Buckley the approach is to tear Morton down. He's played alot better than Buckley this season. We need a new midfield and tbf one that is an upgrade on Buckley and Morton.
  22. Reckon it was a gamble that didn't pay off. Only down the road so no big house or area move. Probably thought he would be first choice given there squad so would play consistently and then get a better move this summer. Hasn't paid off but I'd have him back here in a heartbeat. Was a massive fan. Seemed a good lad too.
  23. Shout out to the unsung hero in Ryan Hedges. His work rate and engine is top class and he is technically better than he gets credit for. Brilliant.
