  4. Anyway, back to the game. That had a similar feeling to when Dacky looked like he saved Mowbray's job last year with a last minute winner. Buckley unfortunately didn't prove me wrong & should be loaned out in Jan. Douglas - awful, just awful, Gallagher found his trampoline boots again, Johnson - a game too far. Holtby, Downing & Trybull, together with Dolan changed the dynamic with some actual intelligent football. Elliot showed his class again & Arma popped up when needed at the end. Other than that, there was around 90 mins of absolute dross. I'll take the win though & crack open another can! 🍺🍻
  5. Well, there I was sat miserably going into the 94th min watching on ifollow then bing! Spinning blue circle! Shit! Quick, up off my arse (laptop was plugged into TV), hit F5. DNS error! Aaarrrrggghh! Quick! Change TV back to HDMI 1, red button. Back on just as we got the free kick on the left. 20 secs later - Armaaaaa! 🤩🤣. That, is timing!
  6. Big chance for Buckley tonight. Seriously hope he proves me wrong, but I just don't see a championship footballer there (yet)

  20. That was the World Cup which really got me into football. As a 7 year old, I was just starting to take a real interest in football & that World Cup in '82 made me fall in love with the game. Paolo Rossi was obviously instrumental in that. Still had my '82 World Cup mug with Naranjito the Orange on it until 4 or 5 of years ago when the handle broke off it. That also started a tradition, I always buy an official World Cup mug now - Thanks Mum. I attended my first ever game at Ewood the following season. RIP Paolo
  21. RIP Barbara Windsor. She's been ill for quite a while & finally lost her battle with Alzheimer's. I'm sure many of us grew up with Bab's chest being a staple diet of many a Christmas day sat watching Carry On films. A great actress & a bit of a national institution. RIP
  22. Agreed. Don't know what was going on in his head, but it was like he was trying to make the first episode of 'The Adam Armstrong Show' for Sky. I hope a few of the lads had a word with him (usually works better than the gaffer having a go) after the game. It got to the point where you knew he was going to shoot every time he got the ball, there was no point anyone else even trying to get up the field in support. I'd have been fuming if I'd busted a gut to get into a good position on numerous occasions only to be ignored. We all know that he likes to take on the odd shot from the edge of the box, which I'm happy with, as quite often it pays off, but Wednesday was on a different level. It went from the sublime to the ridiculous! Come on Arma, you're better than that!
