  1. You were obviously happy with the performance then and would pick the same 11. Bennett for Dack... Who suggested that? Bennetts legs have gone! Smallwood!! ? Wow, you been on the irn bru?
  2. I am not a Bennett fan, honestly, but he'd have put a better shift in than Armstrong. Pick your team according to the game, we couldn't afford any passengers tonight and we had several.
  3. We had to pick a team that would compete in a local derby that the away team would be up for, we didn't, Arma, Dack and Graham do not have what is required in a physical match. Grahams legs have gone, Arma has no idea how to get back and pressure and Dack is our luxury player. We need to press from the front.
  4. When will you learn! You can't play a derby with snowflakes!! Pick a team taking into account your opposition!
  5. Picking a team to play a derby match you need your battlers and pressers, Armstrong, Graham, Rothwell, Dack are not the players to pick in the same ream. No legs! Gallagher and Holtby had to start.
  6. Wrong team selected. You need energy and 100% from your team. Graham, Rothwell and Armstrong are passengers.
  7. Ha ha, that would be a strange one, obviously Evans in a DM position
  8. I really like Rothwell, but only when he comes off the bench, he rarely has the same impact when selected to start. If he can turn his cameos into a 90 minute performance he'd probably be one of the first on the team sheet. Armstrong shows up 1 in 3, another to come on from the bench for this one.
  9. He puts a shift in and isn't bad when not played as a defender.
  10. Always a worry this fixture and avoiding a defeat would be a relief for me. We need battlers on the field as I think it will be a very physical match. Wouldn't be the end of the world if Evans was picked instead of Holtby. Walton Nyambe Tosin Lenihan Downing Travis Johnson Bennettt Dack Holtby Gallagher
  11. Who would you drop for Reed? Dack? Travis? Holtby? Downing? Rothwell? Evans? Reed would struggle to make the bench.
  12. Harrison Reed is a very average player who we do not miss IMO, he would struggle to make our bench.
  13. Yesterday we brought in players who are capable of maintaining a decent work rate and I believe that is lacking in a number of players who were left out. We played fitter players with arguably less technical ability against a team which made few changes and likely only at 90%. Gallagher is a completely different player to Graham but covers far more ground and keeps the press further up the pitch. Likewise, Bennett against Arma and Holtby against Dack. Johnson is similar to Evans but, if fit, is a better all rounder. Bell, by all accounts is the revelation from yesterday and I will happily eat humble pie if he can fill our problem LB position. Great problem for TM and us to decide who plays in the next game - that's exactly what a successful team needs.
  14. Well done Rovers and TM, excellent result away at a very good team. Credit to all the lads who came in to replace tired legs. Hopefully the silly 'tombola' pre-match talk will be put to bed now, posters wanting TM sacked, it's a squad game, give your heads a wobble!! Nice break now, well earned rest. Lets keep the run going.
  15. Winning at half time and the sky bet stats look good for a tough away game. C'mon blues, keep it going this second half (it's the hope that kills you).
  16. Bell is my biggest concern, he's a shocking left back. Work rate should be at least as good as the team we have been fielding recently. As others have said, our left (if Bennett is on the left) looks extremely weak. Anyway, chance for the newbies to stake a claim. COYB
  17. Gonna be a very tough game and a point would be very good. Think an Alamo type team selection required. Come on Rovers, keep the run going. Walton Nyambe Tosin Lenihan Downing Evans Travis Johnson Holtby Rothwell Gallagher
