  1. Start 11 players we know will be here next season and also fill the bench with the same.
  2. Travis gets it for me. Downing has been very good to watch, Arma has improved as has Nyambe and Lenihan.
  3. Decent performance against a good team. This league is incredible, so close, unpredictable results, the most competitive league in the world!! Walton pulled off a few decent save but I do not believe he is the long term answer. JRC is benefitting from playing at this level and I hope he can fill the LB void at the club. Travis was excellent again and is first on my team sheet every week. Armo had one of his invisible games. I have enjoyed the last two performances as much as i disliked the previous two. Who knows what will happen over the next few games, surely that's how football should be.
  4. Shockingly poor performance, not one player looked even half decent.
  5. Very good result, wasn't confident before ko and it's first game back after a long break, but I never felt we were under pressure. Walton was poor for their goal, Bennet barely put a foot wrong, Brereton looks like the break has done him the world of good. Well done Tony and the boys, unexpected relatively easy win. 1 point off a play off place.......Mowbray in!!
  6. We have perfect service. Could it be a person's Internet rather than iplayer?
  7. What an awful system, couldn't suss it out last night, had a right strop and emailed the ticket office with a rather stinging email. I've never had to use the official site before and do not think that this is as user friendly as it could be...….or I'm a complete numpty! Response today advised they had the wrong details for me and I should be able to link my account, which I have done this evening. I presume that I'm now awaiting a code. My poor sister cannot suss it out and is ringing the ticket office tomorrow.
  8. Probably more dangerous in the pub than at an open air event. Darts match for me tonight so Saturday will seem a much less dangerous pass time. Could be the last chance to see us play the way things are going.
  9. We must never play that formation, with those players, ever again, absolutely shocking! Playing away, to one of the best home teams in the division you set your stall out not to lose and assess the game as it plays out. That was embarrassing, Brereton, Armstrong, Rothwell, Bennett, Gallagher, Bell, Downing were passengers. There wasn't a position on the pitch which we bossed and Derby were poor IMO. Thankfully Lenihan is back and hopefully normal service will follow. Back to the trusted back 5, Travis and Johnson, Armstrong, Downing that's our best available starting 9, then the last 2 places are up for grabs, maybe start Graham? Season isn't over yet by a long chalk, but we have to learn that we cannot play Gally, Arma and Brereton in the same team for the rest of this season. Thoroughly disappointed because we are better than that horror show today.
  10. Leaving Johnson out is a poor decision as we need lads who can mix it today. Very lightweight midfield.
  11. Our season certainly doesn't rest on this result, and news of two new Rovers fans certainly puts things into perspective, congratulations to the Yak and Ossy Dave. This division, some posters call it poor, is probably the most exciting and competitive around, look at Forrest and the nobbers this weekend! A win and expectation will go through the roof, defeat will bring a torrent of 'end of the world' predictions as usual. I would take a draw now, Derby are a very good home team and there are still plenty of games left. Of course I want a win (as always) and it really would be exciting to finally get into the top 6 at this stage of the season. Come on Rovers, I never expected this team to be challenging for top 6 but, if we are there at 10 to 5 tonight then I'll be Rover the moon!!
  12. Don was in charge when we had a strange membership scheme (little green card if memory serves). I'd lost mine and so drove to Ewood after a 6-2 shift to get a replacement. Bolshy woman in an office on Nuttall Street wasn't for replacing it even though I'd made the effort driving over in my owd Beetle, stating that I'd have to write in requesting replacement. Just as I'd finished explaining to her that I'd miss the match on Saturday if I did as she advised, Don popped his head round the corner and said 'give the guy a card, we need all the fans we can get'. She ate humble pie and produced one for me. Top man that Don McKay and still one of my favourite managers. Get well soon big man.
  13. I think Rothwell is not the finished article. He has good speed over 10 -20 yards, fast feet, good control, attack minded, we'd be foolish to let him go as there is a real player in there.
  14. Just to reiterate, Brereton definitely looked good today...…..long may it continue.
  15. Just back from a freezing Ewood and feel we were unlucky not to score 3 or 4. Poor game until we went behind and then I thoroughly enjoyed it, if not a bit frustrated. Gally's header looked a certain goal, DG's penalty, hit the post, proper last 15 mins. Brereton looked good when he came on (apart from the shot that nearly ended up in the River), as did Johnson. Thought Nyambe had a decent game at CH. Swansea were a horrible team to play, players diving, feigning injury, the ugly side of football and they looked devastated when we equalised. Point gained on the nobbers, come on Rovers we're still in it.
  16. Sat in JW and just seen the team selection. My first thought is how weak our midfield looks! ?
  17. Not many of us would've predicted that we'd be in with a chance of the play offs at this stage and if the results go the right way we'll be serious contenders. Big game deserves a decent crowd but I doubt we'll get one. Lenihan is a massive loss and I've no idea who TM will replace him with, although Mulgrew would be my choice. I'd retain Rothwell and bring Samuel back in. Waterproofs and thermals for me today and 3pm cannot come soon enough. Come on Rovers, this is such an unpredictable league where most teams are inconsistent, let's get a win and keep it going.
