  1. Yazz - The Only Way Is Up (If ToMo falls on his sword)
  2. Yep, we're all entitled to our opinions. I've seen more than enough over 2 years, if you haven't then that's your opinion.
  3. They were approached by Balaji in 2011 or 12 on such a basis as Amo stated. They went to India at a similar time as the 'Pune 12'. Suspect that idea was caboshed by the 'spiv' and his cronies and nothing came of it. Makes you think where we'd be if some savvy local business knowledge had had the benefit of the financial backing in recent years.
  4. We're going to finish 15th? You're having a laugh, which I find hard to believe seeing as you've watched the same team as me for the past 12 months. Joe, mark my words, this squad isn't good enough: for countless reasons, unless we change managers almost immediately and make a few decent defensive recruitments in January, we'll be visiting Accy amongst others next season. Don't kid yourself differently, it's not just the manager.
  5. At the end of the day chaddy, none of us know what other factors are involved in what goes on at the club: it ain't bloody normal that's for sure. Things aren't going to change as you'd expect at a 'normal' club and despite everything, else that's why gates will continue to decline until such times as they do change. Waggott and Cheston versus Bancroft and Fox? (Rhetorical btw!)
  6. I'm not being funny unsall but what have you been watching for the past 12 months? What makes you think we'll turn it around before Christmas? The comparison to 1992 is just crackers.
  7. When you say right agent, do you really mean not a 'wrong' type that deals in manilla coloured paper receptacles? It's certainly very strange when Rovers still don't do what's obviously required to us 'no marks'. It's all down to t'clarets, I tell ye!
  8. Fair point (to a point). We won't agree on keepers other than we both agree that we've currently got a bad 'un. I'd have loved the opportunity to see Raya play behind a Moran/Hendry type pairing and I'm sure your thoughts on him would then differ. We'll all be up in arms when Raya goes to Barca for big money!
  9. Rubbish. Walton I agree with, Raya definitely not. Brentford have conceded ten less than us so far this season after 14 games: draw your own conclusion. Raya will be bought for big money one day.
  10. Walton is appalling. A rule tought to all young goalkeepers is never back peddle beyond the far post when watching a high cross ball. Never mind to the edge of the 6 yard box! Diabolical from a professional keeper.
  11. We'll have to agree to disagree (Brentford fans love Raya btw). Forget the first, Raya would probably have saved their third too. I'm not bothered about experience per se, we just need a decent keeper and Walton is an absolute dolloper. De Gea and Pickford drop bollocks regularly but where are they? Raya was a cracking fix for us IMO. What are folks thoughts on giving young Hilton a game or two?
  12. Mowbray should have adjusted things when Stockley came on: It was bloody obvious that Preston were going to use him as a fulcrum but we did nowt to counteract it. This is Mowbray all over; he is almost always out thought by his opposite number. Food for thought: would we have won with Bauer in our back 4? I'd wager we would. Would we have won with Raya between the sticks? I'd wager we would.
  13. 3 points above the drop zone with 2 tough fixtures coming up: Something's gotta change.
  14. Out of curiosity also, does anyone know how many times we have let a 2 goal advantage slip?
  15. I'd like to think Mowbray's comments were to lull nob end into a false sense of security. Then I saw the team sheet with Bennett in goal and Nyambe playing as a loan striker...... Joking aside, fuck Mowbray, play with some pride Rovers. COYB!!!
  16. Did Eric Kinder chuck his towel in because of what happened with Lowe?
  17. Probably right Stuart, similar to why Ben Gladwin's still on the books. For Tony's a jolly good fellow (when it's not his money)
  18. Apologies, I did indeed. Rolling Stones - Not Fade Away
  19. I agree but why on earth did he sign Harry Chapman?
  20. I'd agree but who's to say which square peg Mowbray will try to hammer into which round hole next?
  21. Could do with them at Deepdale on Saturday! and this could be applied in multiples during our intrepid owners tenure: Roy Orbison - The Great Pretender
