  1. I hope your post wasn't the kiss of death! 249 - 5 now with 8 overs remaining.
  2. Raya is as 'cast iron' as we're likely to get in the near future imo. De Gea and Pickford dropped as many clangers for their respective clubs as Raya did for us last season. I can't help but think we're going backwards generally.
  3. The owners need to know that with any successful football team you build from the back, it was forever thus. If Lenihan get's injured or decides to up sticks, we're really in the shit as things stand. Put whoever you like in goal, unless the back 4 is sorted we'll still ship goals for fun.
  4. Boarding the bloody goals up is probably our best option applying that logic.
  5. No, not in the slightest. In fact I'd be pleased if he was. I think highly of Raya and always have. He's been made a scapegoat imo for Rovers shambolic defending in recent years and more importantly the fact it hasn't been sorted. The keeper's a last line of defence: the priority should be sorting out the 4 sat in front of him first and foremost.
  6. I can't believe we're contemplating selling Raya now for what would be a relative pittance compared to his potential future value. Stick with the lad and coach him surely? He has the potential to be worth a damn sight more than Brereton in the future thats for sure.
  7. I spoke to a pal who's a season ticket holder at Bury about Wharton and he said the general consensus was that he wasn't up to much. That surprised me in honesty, because like yourself, I was looking for him to step up to the mark next season.
  8. I hope the 'plumber's mate' was 6'5", built like a brick sh1thouse, barked instructions at the photographer and the shirt he was holding up was numbered 5 or 6. We've no given right to expect millions to be lavished on recruitment. IMV, if we sort ourselves out at the back, we'll not be far short of top 6 with what midfielders and forwards we already have at our disposal.
  9. I totally agree. The Raos are not renowned for investing anything in defensive players.
  10. Good luck to the donkey lashers: they've finally rid themselves of the Oystons and Belekon and a well connected Blackpool fan has bought The Seasiders. It'll be interesting to see how it pans out.
  11. I'd be delighted if Tyrone Mings was spotted in Brockhall Village! Come on Rovers, we need a decent centre half first and foremost.
  12. If it was my business, I'd be worried and asking the question 'what could be done to convince those considering picking their games as opposed to buying a season ticket'. Look at the BRFCS poll.....
  13. There's not much likely to happen on the transfer front for the next week or so as Mogga's on his jollies. It's absolutely imperative for me that whatever transfer funds we have, the majority are used in defence. It's the oldest adage in football, build from the back. We need 2 solid centre halves and a left back: a young 'un who can improve and one with experience and leadership qualities. Forget midfield, we've an abundance. If we're going to play football on the deck going forward and not lump it forward to Danny Graham or an equivalent, we could do worse than get Rhodes on loan up top to finish off our sweeping moves!
  14. Correct, he's a multi millionaire without drive and finished as a footballer.
  15. Why are you so argumentative? I'd agree that we only have a couple of players considering offers but we evidently don't have much urgency as a consequence of bugger all having happened and because of our budget and only 2,500 season tickets being sold, don't have much wiggle room financially either. Season tickets sold thus far probably cover Ben Gladwin's wage for the year, enough said..
  16. To save others the trouble of scrolling and reading through this tripe, here's the latest: We've had no news from India following Mowbray's trip there, Conway's going and other than that, we haven't signed or sold anybody. Only 70 days until the transfer window shuts...
  17. Sign a couple of decent defenders first and foremost and build from the back. I find all the talk of any position but, unfathomable. If we sign the likes of Downing, you can only assume the club is still infested and has learnt nothing.
