  1. I guess there may be an opportunity for you Fanakapan, fill your boots!
  2. Watching Rovers on Boxing Day has always been a family tradition wherever we've played previously but that's just crackers. Factor in travel, food and drink for a family of 4 and how can you justify that cost day after Christmas Day?
  3. It, would be a good following as you say. Talking of North End, I note the gate last night at Deepdale was only 10,990: 'Plastics' indeed!
  4. Is there any truth in the rumour we're going to experiment and play without a goalkeeper against Wigan?......
  5. you were bloody 2 up before we realised who was playing where, never mind owt else! Mowbray f***ed up today, not for the first time. Hopefully he'll learn but I won't hold my breath.
  6. Stop believing your agent's bullshit Bradley, get back to basics and continue to repay the club who pays your wages consistently. You've looked a League 1 player for 2 months, is that your limit?
  7. You're quite correct in the 'where we are' appraisal parson but we all knew we'd finish pointless today when we heard the starting line up. The worry for me is that within the next 7 or 8 tough upcoming matches, we could very much be staring down the barrel, never mind patting ourselves on the back. I hope I'm wrong but I wouldn't be surprised.
  8. We were done down both flanks for 4 goals! Nyambe and Williams as full backs' responsibility is defence. They were both shit!
  9. I'm sorry Rev, regarding Palmer: he's a waste of space (IMO). Flatters to deceive, with never an end product and invariably gets caught in and loses possession. Get rid!
  10. You're right but in fairness, today I have some degree of sympathy with Bradley. Please somebody, explain what the starting eleven is all about without a striker/ forward linchpin? who should have been playing where and what was the game plan?
  11. £15 million for Dack? 15 minutes from the end at Deepdale on the half way line, Dack 'chased' a ball right to left as we looked at it it and looked like he was running in treacle! Snatch their bloody hands off!
  12. Mowbray has done so much in turning our club around but todays defeat lies totally at his door.
  13. I don't care about the stats but appreciate the fact that in general TM has given us our pride and integrity back. Today was a shit day at the office for TM, what the fuck he was thinking with his team selection and game plan, only he knows! Hopefully he has learned it didn't work and we move on!
  14. I've read nothing previously from the thread, so undoubtedly some things may have been covered. I'm totally flummoxed from Tony Mowbray today. I wholeheartedly endorse what he's done in terms of togetherness as a club but today he completely lost the plot for me. Just short of 6,000 away fans and we start with what as a line up? Please tell me anyone, the logic behind our attacking intent and this bollocks of a 'faux 9'! I could go on and on but today was just a bloody embarrassment. You could go on and on about individual performances but at 3pm, you can't help but have some sympathy with players thinking who the f**k is playing where and asking where's our 'out ball'? I really really did not get what Mowbray is thinking and I didn't at West Brom either when he tried similar. Alex Neill hammered Tony Mowbray today big time. We were shite and North End, credit where it's due, were by far the better team. (spit)
  15. Precisely the point I've been trying to make PtbB&W. If all upstairs had been consulted, potentially compensated in some way and thanked (made to feel valued) rather than just being turfed out, I'm sure you and many others would think differently.
  16. Managing costs is one thing and to be applauded to be fair. I've always believed that managed correctly, a negative can easily be made into a positive. It's a concept that Rovers and football in general, fail to grasp. There are some good suggestions in the thread though Stuart and the ideas for increasing support should also take on board the harsh reality of the past 8 years and address the issues, attempt to draw a line in the sand and kick on from there. If someone at the club had the gonads to do that, it would potentially put thousands on our home attendances IMO, not dozens.
  17. We're both 'working off the same page' Stuart. The more positive ideas the better: hopefully the club are listening too!
  18. I totally agree. It's pointless arguing about the whys or wherefores of peoples individual reasons for non attendance because they will still remain irrespective. The secret to success is understanding them and doing something about overcoming them.........
  19. £ Ist December, prior to Christmas and post 2 expensive away games at PNE and Wigan: Sheff Wednesday at home, let's charge £27 for a Riverside seat! If ever there was an opportunity to exercise some common sense with regards to pricing and offer 'a deal' in the run up to Christmas with perhaps a reduction for a half season ticket thrown in for good measure too, then this was it. Wednesday, Birmingham and Norwich for £50? (IMO of course)
  20. I don't necessarily disagree Bds but remove the £3 and then 'could be wrong' and you 'suspect' would no longer apply as a potential excuse would it?
  21. The mere fact that a £3 surcharge is even being debated should be enough. It's a deterrent and certainly not an incentive. Surely the club should be looking to attract as many as possible to home games? Marginal costing: if it puts 10 off going (say 10x£20) what's the net result in terms of revenue versus cost?
  22. Ultimately the turnover does need to go up but not by charging those already committed more. Use marginal costing as the base and look how to attract more multiples of £20 tickets for 'walk ons' who may buy a season ticket next season. Look at kids who have previously been season ticket holders when their parents paid but now they're young adults and expected to pay full wack, no longer attend...... The list of opportunity is endless, the club just need to look outside the box and more importantly not make any already committed supporters feel penalised in any way, shape or form.
