  1. Bell scores again! I think he'll come good for us.
  2. I really hope Rothwell turns the game for us: he's been treated poorly by TM in my view.
  3. Lame excuse but foul on Graham looking at that?
  4. Oh, for 2 centre halves who's natural inclination is to defend, two full backs who know how to defend first and foremost and attack as and when, a central midfielder with attacking ambition rather than just sitting in front of defence, a winger who can beat a man, cross a ball and track back to provide cover for fullbacks. I wish TM would get back to basics and forget all the complicated stuff of 'wide forwards' etc. I yearn for bloody 442 and perhaps Dack partnering Graham in the 2.
  5. Disappointed with the uninspiring line up, particularly Reed on the bench. If we're preparing for life without him, i'd have preferred to see one of our youngsters getting a start rather than the usual incumbents. With Mulgrew and Rodwell also starting as the central defensive pairing and their direct approach, I can't see past a defeat. Hope I'm wrong. COYB!!
  6. I totally agree: particularly the bit in bold.
  7. gumboots getting confused with Earl Grey? Yorkshire gets my vote for a grand, strong brew.
  8. ... using similar rationale re chances missed would have seen Middlesbrough in double figures on Sunday.
  9. The synic in me suggests that perhaps Mowbray has his own best interests at heart.
  10. Agreed Waggy, a touch of hard nastiness required and has been for years.
  11. Thank god we’ve accumulated 43 points already! The writings already on the wall regarding next season with 8 defeats in the last 12 games. With Dack and Reed likely to be gone in the close season to compound the issues we’re all familiar with already, we need 6 or 7 signings at least in the summer to be competitive. More or less a complete rebuild required for me and sadly as time wears on, I don’t see TM as the man to do it. (I wish I did) Further, can anyone let me know what Mowbray’s preferred way of playing is?
  12. There's no doubt Johnson is proving himself to be a great U23 coach. However, I don't think he has the character to make the transition to a manager.
  13. Just hoping we don't get the real kick in the nuts: an offer we can't refuse for Dack.
  14. I don't do twitter. I so want Brereton to be a success and would totally 'get' the investment of £7million in a true gem. In cameos, you'd see ability: something. What has anybody seen?
  15. The worrying point regarding Brereton for me is he doesn't show any positives whatsoever. Add to that what Tomphil said (I think) that he has the same agent as TM, then the warning signs ring ding. I'd love Brereton to be the next Alan Shearer, even if it takes a year or so but there are no signs in any respect up to press. I've also read what Forest fans thoughts are on the subject and they are cocking themselves at £7 million. When you then factor in the previous Waggott and Mowbray connections allied to the shite at Rovers in the past 7 or 8 years, it's no wonder there are questions asked.
  16. Travis to stick one on Rodriguez early doors and hopefully doesn't see red.
  17. I've exercised patience and given the lad the benefit of doubt up until now, excusing him because of lack of game time and being played out of position when he does get on. But jesus wept, out of position or not, he should still demonstrate something to warrant his 'potential' tag: today was abysmal. It doesn't look right to me and increasingly looks like a Balaji punt over Mowbray's head. If Mowbray sees in training all week what we have seen in cameos, it's no wonder he's not bloody starting. Let's hope it's an option to purchase in January and not a done deal.
  18. To be fair I think he said "away banker" Stuart, which initially gave me hope! Having seen our lineup and the trio on The Canaries bench, I'd be inclined to agree with him on this occasion.
  19. Hopefully Evans' performance levels won't suddenly nosedive as a consequence of his new deal.
