  1. most football clubs have had an official supporters club for most of their history. Most Supporters Clubs ran coaches to away games for members and often had a "Social Club". Only in recent times have Unofficial Supporters Clubs come on the scene. They usually have been formed as supporters were wary or unhappy with the role of the Official club. Does this unofficial supporters club have plans for agm,s and true elections of committee, or is it to be the chosen few who decide to elect themselves. How active does the new club intend to be? Sorry if these question have already been asked/answered but i have been away on hols.
  2. last seasons programme was one of our worst efforts, the only plus was the price of £1.50 to season ticket holders. My guess is next seasons will be the same dross with the exception its £3 for season ticket holders. Unfortunately long gone are the days of the programmes of the 50s, 60s and early 70s. I believe we print 5000 programmes for every match, many of them remain unsold as at £3 a time it just adds on to the expense of watching live modern football. The only people who buy programmes nowadays at Ewood are our small band of programme collectors and away fans. Sales are down due to cost and todays up to date media coverage (internet). The modern fan doesnt need to buy the programme to keep up to date with whats going on. Im sure we dont make much if any money on producing the programme, perhaps it is time to revert to the cheap small programme of the past.
  3. Wife and I have both renewed, but more for the reason what else do you do with your spare winter time than watch Rovers why change or life now ! But i can understand why we are not attracting new fans. 1. They can watch loads of footie on the tele. 2. £400 a season ticket, i know its cheaper than most PL grounds but when most average fans are taking home £800 - £1000 a month, they have a mortgage, a house to run, kids to feed etc, £400 for a season ticket is a lot of money. Ok for single people living at home with mum and dad. 3. Rovers have not entertained the fans for how long ? 4 . We have no flair players thet excite the crowd. 5. As said many times before Blackburn is a low population area also it is not a rich area. Look at the opposite end of the scale. Chelsea cheapest season ticket is about £800, the London area is heavily populated with high average incomes plus at the moment they are entetainers with flair players. Even if we suddenly started playing great football and winning most home games our average crowd would only get to 25 or 26k. How many times did we sell out in 94/5 not very often. It all comes down to finances. East Lancashire is not a rich area. As someone said earlier if season tickets were £200 each we would sell loads. Yes i believe we would and other income would be generated from Shirt sales and programme sales etc. All price increases do is alienate more and more customers who simply cannot afford the prices. Its great getting loads of kids in the ground at cheap prices, but a seat is a seat and if the club can afford really cheap seats for kids, they can also for adults. The club will say that kids are the future, not if they cant afford the adult prices when they become adults they arent. Sorry to go on but a seat is a seat and currently we are selling approx 18000- 20000 seats every home , how many seats would we sell if say the price was £15 for everybody regardless of age.
  4. Forget that most of them are probably dykes, but some of the crap we have seen at Ewood lately. Will be nice to see some totty kicking balls.
  5. The FA have made thamselves look stupid. They charge Todd only to drop it when he pleads not guilty. What kind of people are running the game. If they think that someone whoever it is, should be charged they should at least have a hearing. Not saying Todd was guilty but come on , the fa obviously thought he may be to charge him, then they change their mind. Egg on yer face FA. Get your act together. Toddy for England !
  6. Have all thought of a special train to Cardiff been ditched. I live in Bradford have my match ticket and have made no travel plans yet. Special train would be the comfy option. Not living in Blackburn i dont get the local gossip, can anyone enlighten me if the possibility of special train is still in the pipeline.
  7. Looking at the Cardiff ticket details there dont seem to be many £25 or £35 tickets (green and yellow) vast majority are blue and red (£45 or £55. Someone please charter a special train to Cardiff, got to be a better option than hours stuck in endless traffic jams, at least on a train we can move about stretch the legs and pull faces at people when we go through stations!!!
  8. Krislu: im sure everyone who wants to go to this will get a ticket. Spoke to 2 season ticket holders today who said they wont be going as they cant afford it. I want any1 apart from Man Utd, Arsenal are beatable they looked poor at bolton in the last round, if spit had stayed on the pitch, who knows. Newcastle you never know which Newcastle are going to turn up. Wouldnt it be nice to take the lead with a dodgy disputed goal, then shearer misses a pen in injury time. Rovers go on to Cardiff in May..........am i dreaming !
  9. I honestly believe the police will put many family people going to this game, who wants to put their young kid through all the hatred and possible violence we will probably get. Honestly believe that any season ticket holder who wants a ticket for this one will get one. I am sure the players will get to hear what this game means to us fans . Possible replay and more police panic at Ewood i think.
  10. Home match please against anybody except Manure Chelsea and Arsenal. Burnley would be nice as its always good to go to a match with some atmosphere. Makes a change from 9 or 10k in the fa cup. I know im dreaming here but if we have to play Arsenal Man U or Chelsea anytime in the Cup let it be the final please, at least defeat there would give us a place in Europe.
  11. Strange game today, feel sorry for their keeper who apart from the obvious error ,had quite a decent game as did most of the Colchester players, all credit to them they could have totally folded after that gaff, they played some half decent football, and if their striker had been in any form they would have scored. All credit to colchester fans as well.
  12. Just watched the Manx v Chelsea game and they are the complete unit who when have to defend as a team. Not worth think about next wednesday, but you never ever know with Rovers, we often reserve our best home performances for these type of matches. At the very least i am sure we will be entertained, either as a great match when Rovers raise their game or as a great team performance from undoubtably the best team in the country. Forecast hopefully 1-1 a great game or 0-?, depends how poor we are.
  13. We were crap tonight Todd and Moekena looked good. Neill and Matteo looked totally crap. Midfield Savage looked good and im sure he will go onto be a hero, the rest totally inept. Up front we were a lost cause, didnt help that we kept playing the ball in the air when the Notlob defence won everything thrown at them, we didnt seem keen to keep the ball on the floor!! El Hadj Gobber should be ashamed of himself, elbow on Todd then diving. Im totally ###### off after getting home from the match, but things could be worse, I could support Notlob!!!!!!
  14. I totally understand your comments. I also cannot understand why he wants to come to Rovers so badly. Whenever i have seen Birmingham over the last 2 seasons they have looked a very good team when Savage has played, without him you have looked a very poor team. As for him coming to Rovers, I am pretty pleased because he seems to get the enthusiasm going of his team mates and he is not shy of the tackle. As for Birmingham thinking they are better than Rovers, dont know about that. Come on Robbie hopefully your debut will be against Notlob,we will need you to get the Blackburn end inspired for a derby match.
  15. Sounds pretty simple to me sack the drummer cos hes crap out of rythm and nobody wants him. I was sat 3 seats from him at Bolton last season and he sure ruined my afternoon. Also if he is on free tickets, he will have to put his hand into his pocket and the club will be better off. SACK THE DRUMMER
  16. A good hard working performance, everyone gave 100%,we cant ask for more than that. I even heard the commentator say "Blackburn have real pace about their game". Cant remember the last time I heard that said about us. Lets hope its the start of a good run. Is it 5 matches unbeaten, cant believe it. I have a smile on my face after watching Rovers.
  17. When it comes to it did anyone hear the racist comments, from what i have seen he could have been jumping up and down cos he was cold, and he may have asked Yorke where he got Ken Dodds spare teeth from. Who knows only Yorke and the Lazio/Sparta Prague fan that nobody knows!!!!!!
  18. Wife an I were sat about 18 rows behind the so called incident. I didnt even know anything was happening, but the wife spotted it, obviously she didnt hear what was said, but she saw Yorke run over have words then walk away giving the 2 lads the middle finger. If it is true the Rovers fan was ejected for a hand sign, why wasnt Yorke ejected for givin the finger !!!!!!!!!!! A couple of Asian stewards were very close to the incident. May be very interesting what they heard.
  19. I too heard on Saturday that the boss does not rate Gallagher, i understand he also does not rate Jansen .
  20. Last season we were crying out for a left footed midfielder, now we have two De Pedro and Pedersen yet we still go down the same route as last season. Totally baffles me !!! If these two arent up to the job they never will be. The only way for them to get Premier league (english experience) is to play one of them with Emerton on the right. Things surely couldnt be any worse than they are now.
  21. The guy i refer to earlier is the guy with short black hair who walks around with the woman and wear the yellow jacket. He is the main cause of all the problems.
  22. A good way of starting to solve these problems would be: Either the club sack the Hitler chief steward who usually starts all the problems in the BB end (dont know his name but most BBenders know who i refer to) Or they move him to steward the away fans, lets see if he really enjoys winding people up or is it just Rovers fans he enjoys goading.
  23. The police and theat nazi of a steward who has the cheek to wear a supervisors jacket were well out of order . The guy who was talking to the police to plead for his mate was very badly dealt with by the copper. This caused more problems when more people cam to his aid. I was sat right next to the incident and cannot believe that people are being treated in this manner. If this had happened at many other ground it could well have started a riot. I agrre that before long the situation in that part of the BB end is going to get out of control. Mainly because the idiot steward supervisor who always seems to be an ego trip is intend on winding everybody up by his aggressive arrogant behaviour. It is only human nature when dealt when in such a manner to retaliate!!!!!!!! Get the problem sorted Rovers before you loose a few thousand diehard fans or are the prawn sandwich eating away fans and this moronic steward more important. Over to you Rovers
  24. Chance for the boss to look at Enkleman,Gresco,Todd if fit,Nissa,Douglas,Tugay,De Pedro,Bothroyd for 90mins (he looked good against Pompey),Gallagher,Jansen for 90mins!! Have i missed anyone out ?
