  1. ...And Chris Sutton was playing central defence if I remember rightly
  2. Personally I think Scott Sellars should be in the short-list, but you're never going to get 100% agreement without making the 'short' list about 30 long. My earliest Ewood memories feature Scott quite prominently
  3. Are you willing to divulge any more about this 'incident'?
  4. Well done Rovers, with special mentions to Emerton (who is at last looking like the player we bought) and Ferguson, although it's unfair to single out individuals as I thought the general TEAM attitude was excellent today- they were up for it and showed no lack of skill. Some of the possession football was great, especially first half. And it was creative in the last third too! PS All the best to Cisse- hope he comes back the same player.
  5. Bit of a Chelsea pub!! FFS. In order to protect our dwindling fan base, let me say that this boozer is frequented by some of the dodgiest individuals ever to grace The Shed! The only reason I got out in one piece, I put down to being with an extremely good looking blonde girl who coincidentally was mad keen on the Rovers. Those Chelsea fans we spoke to actually questioned our sanity because they rarely saw away fans. For those who can't summon up the money or the courage, the match will be shown 'live' in The Golden Cup, Blackburn Road, Lower Darwen. oh. The times I've been before haven't been on match days. Guess it might be best to change plans...
  6. 3-0 to Chelsea. Recommend this pub for pre- / post-match refreshments, although you'l need to cover up colours- it's a bit of a Chelsea pub.
  7. England: Be afraid, be very afraid. This confirms the rumours I have heard from the scientific underground: Wales have perfected a technology similar to the 'cloaking' technology you may have seen in Star Trek. The fact that they temporarily made their entire nation invisible demonstrates its power and the fact they are not afraid to use it. Anybody read about the Invisible Striker in Viz comics? I suspect you're about to see (or rather not see) the real thing when they use their cloaking technology on John Hartson, so that he escape his markers despite his leaden-footedness and poke the ball in to the net unchallenged. We Scots use a similar technology which renders each and every one of our players completely useless, thus lulling the opposition into a false sense of security. Only problem is, this sense of security usually proves not to be so 'false'
  8. cheers den, will be on the blower first thing next Monday, racking up more credit card debt. Hope it's bloody worth it...
  9. Just tried to investigate Chelsea ticket details on the Rovers site but you can't even get the ticket line number without signing up for Rovers World! Surely this can't be condusive to ticket sales!
