IMO we need a manger who has all his focus on Blackburn Rovers, therfore I dont want Hughes or any other manager if they are going to be in part time charge with a national team..

IMO we need a strong and well known manager like Strachan, Curbishley, O'Neill or someone else with a name and a decent track record. I know we most likely dont stand a chance of getting the likes of Curbishley and O'Neill, but my point is that we must NOT do the same mistake as we did when we hired the likes of Kidd, Harford and Hodgson! As a small club we need a strong well known manager, not an anonymous first division guy! Do you seriously think a manger like Jewel, Sturrock, Newell or Hoddle could get players like Ferguson and Cole to join Blackburn Rovers?! I dont!

According to tribal (yeah I know, but still ) Souness was close to being forced out of Blackburn and therfore went to Newcastle before we got the chance to sack him. The relationship with John Williams was apparently fading: "John walked in and the gaffer (Souness) stood up and shouted 'F*** off. Everyone's sick of you coming here moaning. Are you talking about the recent signings of MGP and Bothroyd, or is the likes of Dickov, Matteo and De Pedro included? Anyway, in the closing stages of the transfer window we have signed Gamst Pedersen and Bothroyd, and we have sold Yorke, so IMO we now have a better squad. (doesnt say much though, we would still have had a better squad if we sold Yorke and got B.Deane)

Whoever he is I'm sure he will perform a whole lot better than Yorke! Looks like a good move by the club..

I think that was a specific tactic. Souness wants the midfield to play narrow, with the thinking being it makes the team more solid defensively. I hate that, in my book its "attack wide, defend narrow". When going forward the wingers should stay wide, and when played the centre midfield pair and the strikers should do everything to get into the box.. I hate it when wingers cut inside to much, just hate it..
