Not one of our lot can have complaints at being hooked here, yet here we are JDT still not trying to change the flow of the game. Seems he only does that when we are 1 up with 30mins to go...

Not that we are anything like or near obviously but look at arsenal and where they were when arteta took over. Look at the work he did and how long it took. And they are still struggling but have made huge progress in a few years
Thing is Arteta froze out Aubameyang and went with kids up top when he realised he was a waste... JDT has persisted with Diaz

And thats it all over now

I don't care what JDT says, if Dack cant be relied upon for 45mins he shouldn't be on the bench period. Get him On!

Anyone advocating Dolan remains on the pitch is drunk drugged or just deluded he has been awful. Thomas on to be more direct Luton are no better than us we just need that one goal and it’s lift off
Give over! he has had a few mistakes but his closing down and few glimpses out on the left have more than justified his place. Hedges & Diaz however are offering nothing at all!

Leonard on for Diaz & Dack on for Hedges, put Dolan on the left and I can see us getting the result. The problem is Diaz wont be replaced until 80/85mins if at all.

If we win this it's likey going to be our play-off game too so at least we know we are a match for them in a few weeks... All if's and buts though aint it

I’m going to forgive a lot of future errors from JRC for his shithousery tonight.
Certainly comes out with a new found respect from me. Didn't think he had that side of the game in him but got stuck in. Fair play to the lad.

Agreed, wonder why Markanday wasn't recalled... always impressed me, think jdt has scored an own goal given our threadbare attacking options
Couldn't play for us even if he was recalled so that's why

Men against boys?!
We played them off the park.
Pickering foolishly fell for the only dummy Benson has and he curled their one shot of the game into the corner of the net.
There's nothing valuable about Dack and Ayala at this point - they're both ready for the knackers yard. Brereton-Diaz has been tripe for 6 months too.
We say the Championship is poor every year - which it is, bar the top 2 or 3 teams.
Don't think Pickering could do anything about it while on a yellow in fairness. Szmodics left his man to cover the space outwide, ironically forcing Benson inside and that clearly being his preference. Wharton was just a little slow to react to Benson cutting in giving him just enough room to get the shot away cleanly.

He’s a big issue and possibly not criticised enough. We will not get promoted as long as Travis starts regularly
One things for sure he's no leader and should be nowhere near the Captains armband.

No one can be blamed for a wicked deflected own goal and someone you need to give your bonded a wobble There is not a manager in the world that can prevent that kind of goal - we didn’t lose enjoy your evening
It's not about the goal. It's the manner in which when we are under no pressure, we switch to 5 at the back then we invite pressure on ourselves yet again and wegot caught yet again. How that don't compute with some is mindblowing it really is...

I don’t even know what to say. We haven’t been in the play offs since relegation, now we are as close as we have ever been, all the while cutting our wages and adding numerous youth players into the squad and playing a style of football that’s good to see. But yeah let’s sack the manager, makes total sense.
Let’s go again mid week. Arte et Labore.
That will be heat of the moment posting...
Most are not calling for his head but are asking very serious questions of why he keeps doing the same things that clearly are not working. JDT aint infallible and neither should he be treated as such. He has got it wrong yet again just 3 days after doing the same exact mistake that cost us last time we attempted it again Sheffield Utd in the cup. That is reason enough for people to be questioning his tactical decisions

This isn’t on the manager.
By going 5 at the back, it’s not an instruction to sit back and invite pressure. Yet that’s what the players do.If we made no change and Preston score, we’d be frustrated for not making defensive changes.
Hedges has to run that time out. Go to the corner, put his foot through it. Row Z. Anything bar what he did.
Playoffs a big ask now.
Of course it's on the manager. Whether or not the instruction is to sit back and invite pressure it's what they do, They did it against Sheff U and they did it 3 days ago... If we are aware of it then he sure as hell should be. They aren't capable of doing it so he shouldn't keep asking them to do it.

Bloody criminal that everytime JDT switches to a back 5 the inevitable happens...

Maybe, depends if we could've figured out the transfer forms 😆

Sharpe has suggested the three strikers in the frame are names that haven't yet surfaced in the public domain. Names out of the blue. Shall we start the guessing games?
I'll go with Will Keane as one of them. Your turn!
I'll go with Wesley. Has terrible scoring record so will fit right in with Gally 😁

You'd have to think Brereton is off if that's the case.
As good a replacement as we could get I think.
Somebody would have to go out you would think, it would be getting to stockpiling levels in the forward area...

On the flip side, if he’s a free agent he’s likely to have more interest and could make up the remaining money from his new contract.
In an ideal world, yeah. However he has had a serious injury and hasn't shown that he has that hunger to grasp the chances given to him, so I don't think there will be many throwing decent money at him that will make up that shortfall. Honestly it looks more like he will be one that fizzles out of the game in 2 to 3 years.

I can see him agreeing to a half pay out if he knows he’s going to be frozen out for a year if he stays.
He’s at the age now where he needs to be playing senior football and a year out would potentially set his whole career back.
If he has another club lined up yeah I could see him taking a percentage of is contract to leave. If he don't have a club lined up though it would be silly to give up money you are entitled to

Wonder if we will see any late bids from Sunderland now? It’s not just Mowbray but also Stuart Harvey and a fair chunk of his old team too.
Wouldn't be surprised if they tried for Dack.
Think Sunderland are after buying young to sell on at nice profit so could see them looking at Buckley

Apparently JDT reiterated 3 in after the game. Won't be more.
I can't see Brereton being sold if its just the 3 in... Unless Caulker is not being counted in the 3 as he can be signed outside the window?

Err.... pretty sure not - edit unless I'm thinking of him having to go off at half time.
Either way, that's two games we've only played five!
No it's 1. We have played 5 he has started all 5. It's 1 game missed in 6 games
