It's a good song that has been at Football before and was used for the world cup 1998

I've listened to all 5 songs, and they aren't getting Ewood Park rocking at all, I deffo wouldn't want any of those being played at Ewood Park any time soon. They are truly awful songs

Chris you picked beautiful day by U2, then some generic dance tune ;), you are in no way in a position pass judgement on other musical choices. Used in France 98 good grief

  2. Something that gets the place rocking a bit

Land of the free - The Ruby Tuesdays

    Roots Radical - Rancid

    Wild Rover - Dropkick Murphys

Make My Day - Motorhead loads of great tunes to pick from not the same bland pop or generic indie pish

To be fair we should pick something like M16 by Sodom or Blacklist by Exodus get the blood flowing a bit!

Well I'm not worry as I know we will make the signings we needed during the transfer window and I am not panic about like many others including yourself.

Yes the academy players like Jack Vale, Jake Garrett and Ash Phillips can fill in the squad roles that players and push on to become regular in the starting 11.

We don't know how much interested we had in Ben Davies and others we get linked.

I don't think JDT is peed off already but he is head coach and his focus isn't on recruitment but coaching the team and making the team better and tactics. Its Gregg Broughton job to bring in signings. Time the media and fans understood this

    why that Pete?

I don't think you need 3 to 4 million fee and 20k plus wages to replace him with. I think you can find players that would cost around 1.5 million to 2 million plus around 10 to 15k wages of similar quality or better than Lenihan. Of course this comes down to good recruitment and scouting team. John Park and his recruitment team should have had a list of possible replacements already done for the next head coach and DoF.

I agree with your point that you posted that if any players get within 18 months of their contracts ending and hasn't sign a new contract then we should sell them and get the fee we can.

because JDT hasn't come here for a slow build, the fact we are now the only league club not to sign anyone he's now deferring that to Greg Broughton speaks volumes.

The same rule applies though - let's say Nyambe wants a 4 year contract on 20K a week, thats a 4.16M commitment. For the sake of the discussion, let's say we sign Brittain for 1.5M and 15K a week... thats a 4.62M commitment and I've excluded signing on fees and agent fees.

Now I've purposely picked numbers to make Brittain more expensive, but its so tight and I'm not sure theres a better right back defensively in the league than Nyambe.

especially when nyambe was on about a quarter of the suggest wage, he should have been an easy contract renewal

Even JDT has said we are behind in terms of recruitment.

JUST the five or six. Ah, nowt to worry about there, then. Walk in the park, that. So far we’re up to, erm, zero.

Yes, it’s great having a Category One status academy, but only if it’s aligned to good external recruitment.

It’s a pipe dream to think the academy alone will produce enough quality players.

We have lost several first team players and are less than a fortnight away from heading into the new season with not one single replacement. If that’s not behind where we need to be, I don’t know what would be.

Every player we are credited with having an interest in ends up going elsewhere. That is a major concern.

If the new DOF / Waggott don’t get cracking, the season will be a struggle.

The fact that JDT is saying, “speak to Greg”, already has a hint of, “I’m getting a bit peed off”.

the way it is going i'd be amazed if JDT is here at christmas i reckon he will walk soon

To his credit, Waggott will see and speak to most people if you email him. In my opinion part of the problem is he’s speaking to too many of the wrong fans… but obviously that’s because my views are drastically different.

myself and @Miller11 had a meeting around Christmas we told him the issues as we saw it, we provided potential solutions , absolutely nothing has changed.

Exactly right. We're four key players down from the first eleven from last season plus Khedra who had a decent impact at times, plus BBD if he goes. In addition, I think it was the general consensus by Christmas the squad was down to the bare bones and needed supplementing.

Imo we need four absolutely first class signings to replace the three that have left and JPVH, then ideally three or four decent acquisitions on loan to give the squad a bit of depth.

Whilst in no way not wanting JDT to do well, the fact no-one whatsoever has come in so far has to be worrying surely.

Anyone who says they aren't worried imo is lying or doesn't really care or at least is maybe one of this seeming relatively new breed of supporter who seemingly isn't that bothered whether we win lose or draw as long as they can demonstrate their their superfan status by being a better supporter than the next man and "getting behind the lads" (FFS)

    superb post

!7 days to go to the big kick off.

Players out the door - 5 first team automatic selections and 5 first team squad players.

    Players in - none.

IMO, totally shambolic.  Would love to know the thoughts of JDT and GB.  Didn't necessarily expect things to go off like a house on fire but feck me, I think the owners and Waggott should hang their heads in shame - it's an embarrassment.

Think Davies would be a good signing.  Need to recognise Liverpool do drive a hard bargain and get big bucks on the sale of players who aren't quite at their races.  I think we do pay loan fees for players and my understanding is Tosin from City cost us mega bucks by our standards.  GB brought in as DOF and needs to earn his spurs and show he too is a hard nosed businessman - he needs to either sh1t or get off the pot.  Rovers can't afford to carry passengers or have folk learning on the job and costing us dearly.

absolutely bang on another window and another rovers omnishambles

I'm going to stick my neck out and say we are not even signing one today.

Seems we didn't get any over the line. Well more likely there were never any to get over any line.

This is going to be an out and out development (experiment) season.

Buy kids, move bigger kids into first team, sell the ones who cope, use cash to support academy, buy more kids, round and around.

     Implement the owner's 'vision'

    Like a chicken breeding program.

    Absolute fucking joke.

No chance we are signing anyone for at least a week, like I've said earlier on i do not think there is a will or mentality to get big deals over the line, our mentality seems to be if the budget is 5 million sending 3 back to the owners to look good is how they work. A lot is being put on Broughton he's only just come in, you'd have to question what knowledge he has of the English market, with the recruitment  department allowed to be ravaged in the last 12 months. This is why its utterly scandalous we've allowed Lenihan Rothwell and Nyambe to leave,  shambles from the owners down

  10. I have serious reservations about the ability and will of some at the club to actually get deals over the time and spend money, i don't buy this narrative that there is some healthy budget, there will be more players like Cantwell and Ahmedhodzic that we will get linked with but won't get over the line, then it'll be back to the usual plugging the gaps with PL reject loans. The narrative will be look we tried, we cannot compete with massive clubs like Sheffield United ( a myth already being pushed by some on FB ). But we are all expected to back the team with season tickets, or as i saw on twitter shirts yesterday, if you don't buy a shirt you aren't a real fan, comments made by fans that don't actually attend!

The madeira cake is about to be brought out once again, I see.

Don't let it sway you, Chaddy. We can get you better cakes than he can offer.

Some go in there and return with a strong dislike of brfcs, it's posters, and proceed to tell us why swag is doing a good job. Some cake, that.

must be special myself and @Miller11 never got cake!
