I think this sort of attitude is not only rife but its potentially dangerous as its justification for the powers that be to keep season ticket prices stupidly high.

Clearly someone financially stable (and perhaps not fully in touch with the economic situation of Blackburn whilst living in California in this instance) showing a lack of empathy and understanding. People with a superfan mentality implying that its down to backing the club or the manager.

Also, a bit premature with the "unbelievable change" and "modern club" narrative.

He wasn't backed at a crucial time but he didn't make the best or correct use of the backing he had.

That bit is on him no matter how many other excuses get offered he was allowed to bring in 4 players -- at a crucial time.

That's why he'd never be anything other than the bang average guy he was there isn't much evidence to suggest he'd have been successful with 5 million quid in January.

Agreed he also managed to turn the leading asset maker in the championship, into a complete dobber

It most certainly has earlier in this thread! The suggestion was clear, the owners had identified and were happy with a proposed manager HOWEVER SW didnt agree and overruled them!

In any case its about opinions and f yours is different to mine then that is fine by me. I think my views are not wishy washy they are very clear

If he’d overruled the owners he wouldn’t be here, that’s not how they work. They tolerate no dissent or not obeying what they say

I think the Knutsen link is just lazily based on yesterday's appointment.

Pardew's the one that has me worried right now. Has applied for the job, apparently, and there are a few whispers the job is his.

How desperate is he to get back into English football, is the question. He, or whoever else, is going to be walking into a mess here with so much work to do in the window.

Genuine question, if Pardew is appointed, how would you feel?

Miles happier then I would be if ferguson got it

I have never rated neither Waggott nor Mowbray and have posted about this consistently since their appointments.

I think the last five and a half years have been wasted.  IMO, as a club, we have regressed in every operational area - this is what happens if you employ, IMO, fourth or fifth raters.  I think we are a club bereft of passion, nous and hope.

Until we employ a first class CEO and football manager we will continue to regress and Venky's will have to continue pumping in some £20million a year or we will go to the wall.  It is simply unbelievable that our owners don't see this and under their ownership, IMO, Venky's have been the personification of crass stupidity.

Spot on mercer this shambles of a recruitment process highlights this
