More recent than Pardew
Pardew just finished second in the league and got a cup final, whats McCarthys premier league record like? to be fair his championship one is mainly rubbish as well apart one half a good season at ipswich, That being said i'd hope we could aim a bit higher

Pardew was last relevant about 6 years ago and hasn't managed at this level for well over a decade.
I'd prefer to bring Warnock out of retirement or go for Mick McCarthy.
McCarthy?? crikey when was the last decent job he did

Adkins is already well liked down at Ewood. He would have been our manager in 2017 had Mowbray not been suggested/chosen at the last minute. If he has shown an interest this time, I suspect they will be more than happy to interview him. If they want a cheap steady eddie, he's the man for them, I feel.
Somebody on another forum last night said that Pardew has applied for the Rovers job. Could be something in that based on the above.
Adkins or Pardew? Hmm. What a prospect.
a lot of sneering abour pardew a proven premier league manager, with clubs with limited resources, yet we've seen support for OGS ( remember his cardiff side ), ferguson ans host of others who've never managed a game in the PL

That's the kind of smart-alec facts that really annoy me.
That said, I think they are crossing and dotting.
Not being smart at all as it stands they’ve not appointed anyone, they could by the weekend or the couldn’t. Kompany is wanted by BMG, we could appoint (unlikely) by early next week

QPR, Bumley and Watford get their manager in a couple of weeks. Four weeks in we are messing about.
I could scream.
Unless I’m mistaken neither QPR or Burnley have appointed anyone

That’s him appointed tomorrow then 😂 This one really is strange. Pete O’Rourke is usually pretty accurate.
He’s just following the other mood music like the rest of us

I don’t get offended when people don’t believe what I say so don’t worry about it. All I will say is that he was identified as number 1, interviewed first as a result and there was no changing of minds by hierarchy . It was put to him what the budgets would be and what staffing changes he could make , and as a result if he accepted the budgets the job was his. The interviews that follows were standard as would happen with any job, and were to assess for the event carvahal didn’t accept which now looks likely sadly.
if woodgate gets it, it shows the boro mafia are still pulling the strings. From an applicant list of over 50 and the best they can come up with is ferguson and woodgate, after making a cheap offer to CC it really says it all. Never well run under this lot and we never will be, the club will deserve what it gets in terms of more fan drop off and a slide right back down the table

Woodgate, Ferguson it'll be back to grayson next, cheap desperado's

I'm getting ready for the airport, so probably will have nothing to add before an appointment, (wedding anniversary break, and phone ban)

I would, I would be ashamed.
There has to be some degree of ethics/morals at play even in the football cesspit.
If not and the end result justifies any means then all hope is lost and not just in football.
if thats the case ferguson should be nowhere near the job, cannot blame him for a weekend team and i would have expected us to do the same in the same situtation

As reported on the 8th May, Wagner was on the opening list (V's List), I'm a little surprised that's not gained far more traction or a wider discussion/debate regarding the potential in that appointment on here in particular.
Our first Foreign appointment given that opening list would be more likely than a British Manager, especially if you add Carvalhal to the three mentioned before. That's four foreign coaches, and very little being offered in opposition to a British Manager.
i'd snap your hands off for wagner

He's litterally managed our bitter rivals, he's had a huge pay off he can wait for another bottom end PL job or better run championship job, not a chance he has any interest in the job

No one but Myers is pushing Ferguson.. he has a direct line to the owners History just repeating itself …. Hope the Venkys have learnt from past mistakes but it’s always ends badly……
Probably sent them Videos of Real Madrid manager name dropping Ferguson last night after the Liverpool Win ……Everton will allow Ferguson to leave without compensation to make his exit smoother …….
Carlos Carvalhal has been offered 3.5 Million yearly salary tax free from the gulf club but STILL waiting on Rovers to get back to him regarding his coaching staff & budget details as he prefers the championship once again ……
If Ferguson gets the job what’s the point of interviews ……
Same old venkys

If it’s true it’s a poor choice, and shows the clubs line about experience was a crock of sh1t. It smacks of cheap and willing to work with what’s at the club. I’d rather have Mowbray back

God i hope something is finalised by friday.
Can't be asses with another week of this guff.
Plus we need a new manager in ASAP to start assessing our squad and preparing training before pre season starts! So we can hopefully hit the ground running early in the new season 🤞
more chance of platting fog, it'll be another 2/3 weeks of this shambles

The new owners are 18 months (?) of his Burnley legacy. It’s everything before that which stops him wanting to deal with Rovers specifically.
It’s baffling to me that people think Dyche is even in the running
