Anyone who this Coyle was on £2k a week needs to give their bonce a wobble! Go back and I am sure there is comment about the figures involved when he was sacked.

To be fair I’d heard it was about 3k a week, as they’d agreed 11k with warnock. Him being really cheap was the selling point and he’d just been paid off by the team in Texas he’d been sacked from

I feel this was always going to be the case with carvahal, his stock his high so if he doesn’t get us promoted his stock will sink so he would need reassurances in terms of finance backing.
I would be happy enough with him, my number one would be farke but I believe he turned down his interview and will be working closer to home in his next role

He actually lives in Norwich and his kids certainly last year went to school there, wonder if the fmaily has moved back to Germany

I love the same endless cycle. One or two posters saying the same things about how the club has lots of interesting developments with the patronising undertone of how everyone else doesn't know what is happening. People naturally ask for detail, no answer is given and those people are told to go and ask themselves.

For what its worth, Rich Sharpe reckons the pitch is just the usual work as seen every year. Presumably Venkys still arent willing to spend the required 2m.

it is the usual work not that is carried out yearly not the big replacement

How do you know he will have no influence? and I thought you were in favour of this structure when we discuss previously?

How do you know we aren't getting the head coach search right?

another one of your low blow dig at me. Its almost a weekly thing.

And just for the record I wouldn't be happy with either of them. Now both applying their trade in Scottish football.

I just think a Sporting Director head coach structure suits the club and its works at many clubs like Norwich, Brentford, Forest, Huddersfield just to name a few people.

    Have QPR replace Warburton yet?

Have Burnley replace Dyche with a permanent replacement?

Its took Newcastle nearly 3 weeks to replace Bruce with Eddie Howe and they interview several candidates before picking him despite billions and billions of pounds ownership

Because they never do and expecting them to change after 12 years doesn’t make sense

If there are any proper long term plans, which is extremely unlikely, then you have to admit that Venky’s and their employees have failed spectacularly in delivering them?

Whenever you have been challenged to provide evidence that things are on the up in the past, you’ve told people to do their own research, like a flat earther or chemtrailer. Now you are offering up basic pitch maintenance and not shutting down the academy.

As Glen has comprehensively pointed out, the academy is currently reaping rewards because it’s a major part of Jacks legacy - and the one bit they haven’t got round to completely disgracing yet. I’m always baffled by the praise they seem to get for not pulling the plug on it. It’s not some act of altruism or a shrewd manoeuvre… it’s a complete no brainier. Besides, since they rocked up they have made more out of selling academy graduates than they have had to put in to keep it going.

Oh, and nobody is forgetting that we have limited TV income. We are all well aware of how perilous our financial situation is. How could we not be? What people do often forget is whose fault it is that we are in such a mess in the first place.

    Absolutely spot on  Duncan

I mentioned about Ainsworth on this ages ago i just don't reckon he fancies it back oop north.

tbh i am not even sure he is the running either, having had conversations over the past 12 months with people within the club when ainsworth was mentioned it was greeted with any great enthusiasm. Plus if you are looking at a league one manager Paul Warne is far better candidate, the interesting thing about Farke is he'd bought a house in Norwich and his kids went to school over here, so i wonder if that is a factor for him. Is he going to uproot his family again and go back to Germany or wait for another English job to come up that he fancies?.

The biggest shame from all this is that I believe good managers would come here and are interested.

In the case of Carvalhal, it is clear that someone at his end is pushing his name with a view to returning to England.

Yet the impression I get is that Rovers are once again on the back foot and will basically squander any prospect of landing one of these decent managers.

People like Farke and Carvalhal there for the taking and basically inviting interest. Then we've Waggott and Suhail opening envelopes and applications on their desk and wondering what to do.

I suspect Carvalhal will end up at a club in the Middle East on Big money having grown tired of waiting for us to get our act together.

We'll be scraping the barrel pretty soon, which is where the friendly agents come in.

Its got all the hallmarks of Simon Grayson/Lee Johnson coming in middle of June, cheap and grateful for getting the job which are the only two boxes venkys care about. Its clear decent managers want this job but they'll get offered other jobs before we even start the process of interviewing. Its clear going through this thread and facebook some really don't get how venkys work Bielsa, Dyche beyond fanciful. Now Carrick is the favourite people are salivating over that, based on what exactly ? the fact they've actually heard of him. Then its the deluded tony brigade wouldn't want Carvahal a man whose career is littered with success and managing in Europe over a man, who was sacked at Celtic, sacked at boro, left Coventry bottom, and was passed over by chesterfield those fans deserve Grayson, or another utter failure like Lee Johnson. Its clear there has been no forward planning

Did Leeds have that structure when he became their manager.  So, why wouldn't he be, without using the word Venkies.  I suppose the big downside is he only plays one way and once sussed in the Prem he had no plan B.  Ciurse he had.more than his fare share of injuries to key players

yes he came in because of victor orta who has spent months going through what would be needed to get him to commit to the club, its an even more fanciful suggestion than dyche

Mowbray had 4 seasons to get us promotion and he failed. He has more money than other clubs. He was more than backed from the owners..

We were second on the 8th February and somehow we didn't make the playoffs so who is to blame for this? Surely Mowbray has to take the blame in the main.

Also how are relegation candidate for next season before we even appoint his replacement?

because chaddy mowbray is the only manager we can have at this club, we should be thankful Mowbray did us all a favour by managing us and taking home a decent weekly wage packet. Remember he took us up from league one.....
