  1. Scotty I'm afraid for far too many, the answer is - until we're actually relegated. And they're in such denial they probably wouldn't even believe it had happened then!
  2. I think the difference between them and our "manager" is just that they could also put the arm around people when necessary for the good of both player and club. Once Souness has a hissy fit with someone, they're out, even if that is to the detriment of the club.
  3. Roveractive Possibly some of the more fickle would have given him the benefit of the doubt until the next time he put out a rubbish formation in the first half and changed it at half time (ie the next match we play) The facts are- blame whoever external you will, this has been going on for months and we should get rid.
  4. Can we just close the Matt Jansen topic? He's gone. Forget him. You could loan him to whoever you wanted (and no-one in their right mind above Division 2- yes the new one- would want him) and he'd NEVER get back to being a footballer.
  5. Actually completely forgot Gordon Strachan was available. He should go to the top of the list. He doesn't need the hip operation (at least as long as he doesn't play football and does the correct exercises he won't) Don't think Mark Hughes would touch us with tongs and George Graham definitely ISN'T what we need. We've had an opinionated OBJECTIONABLE Scot, we don't need another. (Strachan isn't objectionable- he's really nice)
  6. Who would I rather have: Gary Megson Nigel Worthinton Ian Dowie Mike Newall Mickey Adams Those are just the ones off the top of my head. Actually I'd rather have anyone from the Premiership- apart from Kevin Keegan, and probably more from the championship- but those are the possibilities. Much as I'd love Arsene Wenger, I don't think we'd attract him! Given today's result shouldn't our "manager" be in the same position?
  7. Arsenal will win by as many as they want to win by. If it's not too warm and they're in good moods, it'll probably be about 10-0 but if they get bored and decide not to run around too much, we might hold it to about 4-0
  8. Oh dear. Shocked- NOT I predicted a loss. A lot of people on here applaud Souseless when he changes formations at half time and things improve. Now, for the terminally stupid amongst you, I'm going to put this in big letters. HE PICKED THE NUMPTIES THAT PLAYED THE FIRST 45 MINUTES TOO. THOSE WERE HIS "BEST TEAM". Doesn't really say much for his tactical acumen (well actually it says everything that is necessary about his tactical acumen) Let's all enjoy the relegation zone. We're going to be there for an awfully long time while he remains in charge. And Greggyk- go and play on a motorway.
  9. No- they have every right to be confident. And as for asking who they think from Rovers will be their biggest threat............................. Even larger cough
  10. While I applaud Revidge, I do just remind you all that the team who are bottom at Christmas have NEVER survived. I think that we'll need to take a good, hard look at league position after Charlton and Portsmouth. Waiting till the end of November would be a disaster if the scenario pans out without us winning against Soton, Portsmouth and Charlton- or getting freak points elsewhere.
  11. Would I rejoice if we went 10 games with no points and then he was sacked, NO. If it went past 4 I think the board should do something. Would I rejoice if he was sacked- of course, but it MUST come early enough for us to get out of the mess he has created
  12. We'll lose. Don't know by how many, but we'll lose
  13. If you mean the ones we might get -Nigel Worthington, Ian Dowie, Mike Newell, Gary Megson WOULD do a better job and the vast majority of lower league managers MIGHT. If you mean the ones we couldn't get, well everyone in the Premiership bar Kevin Keegan would do a better job.
  14. I rather think the club does, you silly little man
  15. Oh so they DO agree with me. Nice to know I'm right. No I don't know anything about spread betting- I don't bet. I'm not stupid and actually realise that bookies rig things so that they win, which most punters (mainly men I'm afraid) can't get into their thick noddles
  16. I've probably spent more than you have on following Rovers over the past years. I therefore believe that I can make any comments I like about the direction the team is going in. I really don't care what you think. I love the club and hate the team and manager and until either of those changes I'll have my say on here.
  17. I cannot believe how utterly, utterly blind the majority on here are. We had a squad that was, quite frankly, useless last season, the quality has been eroded by selling Cole and buying Dick**** and you expect better things? Spread betting companies set us a low target on purpose. They don't think we'll get there. I for one tend to agree (remember they make money from point BELOW- not above and if they're basically giving relegation-like points to start with, it doesn't take a genius to realise they expect us to get fewer..................)
  18. Donation on its way It's worth it just to read the hilariously misguided views of so many while the few sensible people are shouted down. Also for all the fun I've had on here over the years. (before Souey)
  19. Hope so really want to renew my season ticket, but won't until Souness goes
  20. I support Scotland whatever. I thought I'd made it clear that I wouldnt be getting a Rovers season ticket this year- or for the foreseeable future- nothing to do with the first division (indeed I'd have been more likely to have got one there because he'd no longer have been manager- if the Board had any sense.) Stevie Crawford- 20 caps 4 goals Paul Dickless- 8 caps 1 goal
  21. If you wanted to get a Scotland striker cheaper who is better and younger I'd have gone for Stevie Crawford from Dunfermline (actually he's out of contract- oh and he gets a game for Scotland and scores more goals!!) Paul Dickov is uninspiring at best and if he's to take over from Andy Cole- I hope you all enjoy the first division!
  22. OH yes- VERY highly strung
  23. Now you've set me off again. I was in floods of tears at half-time, AND during his Radio Rovers interview. What a waste, letting him go. And as for "blue and White Army". If you're the wassock sitting behind me who holds forth about all things football (and thinks Graeme Souness is great) Jeff Kenna doesn't get into the Brum squad any more because HE PLAYS FOR DERBY!!!
  24. I'm sorry, but if you think today's win makes me want Souness to stay, you're mad. The ONLY good thing was the three points. If we'd played ANY other team and put up that performance, we'd have been TANKED- we were only fortunate that they were as bad as I've seen for a long time. I hope you all find the mythical players that Souness can get on with- because I'd guess the larger part of the squad will be off in the summer for little or no fee. Emerton continues to be one of the biggest pigs in a poke I've seen, and while Shorty was immense today, he didn't really have any opposition (a half-fit Les Ferdinand and a midget (dick-off) Enjoy the Premiership next season. If you can!! Hope some of you are still ALIVE when the perennially unfit get back (do we actually HAVE a player called Thompson- or has been injured since we bought him?). I'll be going to the rounds of the Champion's League until such times as he's gone. (ie after he starts next season as badly as this one's ending- and as there will only be old ex-Rangers players around when he's alienated everyone else, GOOD LUCK!)
