  1. Wasn't trying to be clever Vinjay MK2, just cheeky. You are so brave hurling insults over the internet. I tire of your petty insults, and constant sniping of Souness. Do you EVER say anything that isn't related to our former manager?

Although I don't have to justify myself to the likes of you, out of the last 10 posts I made, 7 had nothing to do with Souness (all being about Feyenoord- because, hey, I was there!).

  2. We got a tram to the ground with the Feyenoord fans. Luckily my friend and I don't really look like football fans so were quite safe.

At the ground we got to the line of riot police and said "excuse me, how do we get into the ground". The lady policeperson took us in- we had our own personal escort!

Got the tram back afterwards as well.

1864- just checked and the photo caught the wrong person. I had to take it surrepticiously and it caught the girl to the right of him (who wasn't singing anything) rather than him. I'm sure I'll see him again though, and I'll be ready!

Ricky- he seemed a very nice man too. Just not quite my type. But isn't it a small world!

  3. One person on his own? Did anyone else see him/her?

Until this is corroborated we'll have to give him/her the benefit of doubt and assume he's pointing at a Feyenoord fan.

Unfounded accusations can actually do more harm than good.

Unlike some, I wasn't drunk and can actually tell the differeince between someone pointing at someone and repeated nazi sautes (followed by what were almost certainly bursts of invective). Oh and as the moron was in my line of sight to the pitch, I could hardly miss him.

  4. In Dutch it's "De Kuip" in English "The Tub" ..... my lasting impression is a basterdisation of the two .... " The Tip". How some of these European grounds get a safety certificate is beyond me.

For a start it was unreserved seating, for a sold-out allocation, in a split tier area!!!.... what the hell where they thinking??

When we eventually got in the ground ...just before kick-off ... the only seats we could find where in the upper tier in an area that had seemingly been reserved for 'the Numpties' day out. I can only presume that the crime figures for the Blackburn area dropped significantly on Thursday night ... as by my reckoning every petty criminal from the town was sat in the three rows in front of me.

Directly in front of me was sat 'the chav royal family' ... from granddad, a man in his seventies declaring "Why do we have to have those two w*gs playing up front for us?" to proud mum and dad looking on approvingly as their 30+ year prodgeny tried to smash his way through the Perspex barrier to an un-timely (but not un-welcome) death. And perhaps most distressing of all, the baby of the family , a lad of about 12...being encouraged to follow in the footsteps of his belligerent elders.

As for the train journey back to Amsterdam ... where do I start? I'm in a party including my wife, my mum and dad (both in their late sixties) and a father and son we had previously met in Salzburg. We manage to get on the train and find seats ... albeit singles through a carriage. First we get this big guy wandering through the carriage and totally oblivious of his audiance declaring in to his mobile (bear in mind the carriage was silent at this point) "Yhea i had a n*gger last night but I've got a little slitty-eye lined up for tonight" obvious to one and all he was discussing his Amsterdam buissenes dealings!!!! Prat. The rest of the journey consisted of lads vying to play at top volume their latest clip of Roy 'Chubby Brown' or some porn clip.

Don't any body kid themselves .... there are some real scum out there basking in the reflected glow of Blackburn Rovers ... thankfully they don't judge most games glamerous enough to associate themselves with.

As for the game ..... Sparky put in a bid for their No 24!

Unfortunately, there were a few of the same type in the main level as well. We had the now infamous "we are the rovers , we hate P*kis" I have taken pictures of the scum behind me singing that and I'm perfectly prepared to track them down for the club at future matches so they can be banned.

And we had an idiot in the lower tier giving Nazi salutes to the Feyenoord crowd. Don't the TEACH history in Blackburn any more? Or has the moron only half understood the Anne Frank story?

  5. Watched the Celtic v Utd game tonight and the result was just a little too deja vu for my liking!!!

    LUCKY CELTIC.

    Absolute skill it was! (*joke*)

That was one of the scariest games of football I've ever been at. When Manure got the penalty....... All hail King Artur.

And now on to Rotterdam! Which should be a LOT of fun!!!

  6. Just get to Amsterdam station about 1hr 30 before kick off and it will be full of Rovers fans, probably about 2000 or more. If Feyenoord fans want to have a go at that number then they are serious idiots.

Precisely the attitude that will get you into trouble. If you don't go looking, you won't find trouble

I'll do what I always do, make my own way to the ground, not wearing a football shirt, and will, as ever, have no trouble.

  7. Walls, Daren , USA Blue, Scotty.

I'm not really an optimist or a pessimist, but I think you are all looking at a half-full glass here.

We are currently being being beaten by sides that we should either be winning against or getting a point if we are going to progress.

    Simple as.

No excuses, the results are lining up against us. If Rovers was a decent team then we would have beaten West Ham,(who were there for the taking. Fragile, completely lacking in confidence) Bolton ( local derby full house at Ewood), and got a draw against Villa.

There is something a bit wrong in the BRFC camp at the moment and I trust MH to get it right. If we beat The Ref Scum on Saturday I'll be as happy as Larry (as my Mum used to say.)

Thing is I don't think we wil beat them, not with what we are dishing up at the moment.

We should be winning IF our first team was playing. Our first team is nearly all in the sick room and we're playing on scraps. Bolton we should have won, West Ham we didn't have a hope in hell after all the publicity about their manager. Oh and Villa are 4th and have (arguably) the best manager in the league.

  8. I'll go out on a limb here (;)) and say he might be an attacking midfielder who can also play up front.

We're in short supply of that kind of midfielder, so if that is correct he might be a welcome signing (provided he is good enough).

Right now, if he can walk and has "midfielder" on his passport we have to be interested. (In the accountancy profession the recruitment policy is as long as they can breathe and speak English, they're hired, we're all so short staffed)

  9. They gave us two replays on the big screen!!

Disagree on Gray. I've been to 8 out of the last 10 games and all of them since Emerton has been out of the back four.

Without doubt Emerton is missed, but Gray has been adequate at worst - he's been competent. At West Ham and Villa Park - positively energetic.

Someone even posted the other day he looks overweight and unfit. He's certainly not out of shape and his match fitness has improved with each game he's played in this run.

This is getting scary. Again I agree 100%

  10. What was he supposed to do with it?

He'd won the initial header, was off balance, facing across goal, and being closed down by two of their players but still managed to nick it to Zurab.

Who could and should have put it into row z.

As posted elsewhere, Gray is everyone's favourite scapegoat at the moment, but he is not the problem.

    Agree 100%

  11. pedersen hasnt lost any of his game he is still as good as he was last season when he is on the ball.

    Which is cr*p.

Pedersen's been toss when Lucas Neill's played behind him as well as when Gray has. The common factor in the general cr*pness is Gamst, not the left back. Last year the goals covered for a basic lack of everything else. Take those away and he HAS nothing else.
