  1. got another good youth pull this week. Good enough to put him in central midfield in an important league game. Has a TSI of 380, and pretty well rated by hattrick organizer.
  2. Ah, but exiled, we also held out hope that Cole was man enough to get past his problems with Souness and play inspired, like he did the last few matches of the season. Silly us for giving him the benefit of the doubt based on how he performed in the run in.
  3. Well, heck, if medals are what count, why aren't we going after Phil Neville?
  4. You'll just get onto the wrong club's supporter site to report it....
  5. I'd have to go with that as the second best, with Japanese Whispers being the best. I know people think it's schlocky, but it is a fun album.
  6. So, finally bought my first couple albums off of iTunes, Kate Bush - Sensual World and The Cure - The Cure. A nice easy process that took very little time once I was set up. As for the new Cure album, if you liked Disintigration, you'll like this one.
  7. So, stats only count when they back your point up?
  8. You're never hanging out with your friends, wearing your Accy Stanley shirt that Nike paid the club to be able to produce, and in the middle of a serious discussion people start joking (inside jokes or not) and it shifts from there? Someone else talked before about how this is just our own little online pub/gathering spot, and that is how I consider it.
  9. Either that or Short was man enough to be able to get past a disagreement and still work with him. If I left every job where I didn't get along with someone higher up in the food chain, I'd probably be on my 40th job this decade. You have to learn to work with people you don't get along with, that simple. I really thought Cole was going to work through this, quite disappointed he didn't and gave up. There are tons of examples from professional sports where players didn't get along with their manager and still worked together for the good of the team.
  10. Thank you Ricky, you said it nicer than I was going to.
  11. I'll accept when I get home tonight (damn proxy servers!). Good luck to you as well. I'm sure I'll need more luck, though.
  12. I disagree Mr. 6. Against Fulham, Stead did a great job holding the ball up towards the end of the match, despite the abuse he was getting. And he's still young enough to add the bulk needed to do that over a full season.
  13. Sadly, Capt. most people on here have been slating the alternatives, such as Fowler, Radzinsky, etc., yet they would be no worse than Cole, and most likely at much lower wages. I think a big percentage wouldn't be happy unless we brought in Henry (and even then, I'm sure Kirslu would complain!!).
  14. Just a quick comment about parasyte and gordon: it was wrong for parasyte to say what was said. If that's your opinion, fine, but kinda stupid to share it knowing what the backlash will be. That being said, gord's response sums up why I think Dr. Rich is against the sponsor thing. This is a free site, and there shouldn't be any pressure to give or not. If you can give and want to, then give. If you can't or don't, then don't. No need to make public either way and no need for everyone to slam you and pressure you if you don't.
  15. Oklahoma, fancy a home and home? My place first (just because I haven't had a home friendly in about a month or so)? Thanks.
  16. HE IS NOT A BLOODY GOOD STRIKER ANYMORE!! He is an average striker, and not at what he makes. If you add up his goals the past 2 seasons, a bloody good striker would get that in one season, not 2. Do I want him to stay? If he plays like he did down the stretch last season, sure, but if he plays like he did the season and a half before that, no way. That all being said, let me contradict myself by saying I would be upset if no replacement was brought in.
  17. I don't know why we are paying so much attention to Waggy anyhow. He proved he knows fa about football when he talked about the Spanish stars he had never heard of.
  18. Anyone consider (and I got the thought reading a couple other posts here) that Nixon did get the story right, but the name wrong? It does sound like something Souness might do to get Yorke off of the wage bill...
  19. I gave a few quid while I was over there in April, but the exchange rate was killing us (about 2-1). Thinking about that made me wonder this: would there be any legal/technical problems in having it hosted out of the States? You might be able to get a better deal over here if you factor in the exchange rate.
  20. Yes, but what is the main point of the original post, and other past posts on the topic? That the Sun is to blame for what happened and they should be punished. Everytime you see/hear headlines about the tragedy, it's about the Sun, not about any other parties who truly were to blame. If we boycotted every newspaper we read that printed what they thought at the time was true and ended up being lies, there would be no more papers. The Sun is being made a scapegoat for what happened.
  21. Everything I read, that's the only group that vocally gets blamed anymore, which is my point.
  22. I think its more about making them feel welcome than shoving a bunch of rules down their throats.
  23. Bet at least Leeds fans are happy to see that headline and then find out there is no courtroom involved!
  24. Reading what people have been saying, there isn't one person to blame, there is one newspaper to blame for the tragedy....
  25. And I'm sure if it did happen to us, you'd be right there with a song about it like you do for ManU.
