EVERY CREDIT! I thought my team picked itself quite easily!!! ok de pedro on the bench in place of gresko! He can come on if we have to rvert to 4-4-2 and he will score a last minute free kick from 25 yards -

HAS ANYONE READ THE REPORT IN THE SUNDAY MIRROR!!!? I feel like grabbing ken lawrence by the throat and strangling him! What does everyone have against us? His report basically says how bad we are and how we will have the same as last season. Fair enough west brom did well to get a point but im sure he wasnt at the game, it was all rovers 2nd half and we played well. He gave gray a 6! He gave Tugay (who changed the game) a 5!!! He gave ferguson a 5!!!!!!! And gave Yorke a 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Disgrace -

THANKYOU!!! Ive been saying this all along. Hes been good for the club in recent years but we have to get rid! He oozes of last season! I hated it when he came on at Bray, looked rubbish! He needs to go. -

Now i know it seems silly to moan about highlights after the excellent coverage we got from sky tonight but i taped MOTD at the same time so i could watch the rest. Linekar made a point of saying they will show decent highlights of every team. So i go through the recording and hes right! Everyone getting some good highlights! Even every team getting a view from lawro after the highlights, but hold on, its now 11:55 and rovers still arent on! Here we go, show the goals and about 2 chances, totally miss our early 2nd half pressure showing amos mistake first, then absolutely nothing said from all 3 of them after it! SAME OLD SAME OLD! EVERYONE HATES US!!!!!!!!!!!!! -

Well gray and de pedro naturally will be in the starting 11. Gresko played well in midfield last week in bray which explains why he started. Flitcroft!? if hed been starting i would not have been happy. Yes hes been great for the club but imo its time to move on. I dont want him here. I thought 2nd half the formation worked very well. -

Just got back to a rather peed off sunny Blackpool (They just got beat 4-0 at home to stockport ) im happy with a point, i expected a 1-1 draw and thats what we got. 2nd half i thought we were excellent, possession must have been 90% rovers. I cant be bothered, i agree with what greggyk has said in his report so i wont bother writing it all again. All i will say is Tugay and Ferguson - excellent, Tugay changed the game. Dickov and Yorke - Excellent, yorke a definate contender for man of the match, better second half. Overall id agree with the peter jackson man of the match and give it to fergie. Gray was good again, amo mainly solid, good goal from short. Matteo im not too sure about yet, de pedro really didnt play well and emerton looked ok at right back, same old problems second half unfortunately. ok im done -

we knew that yesterday when he was picked for the squad. Although most likely he will start, its not for sure. Seems a bit harsh to put enckleman on the bench when he has conceded 1 goal in about 9 games. -

Shocking decision, its right back or nowhere for simon! The Blackpool fans were not happy seeing him in midfield but they have injuries so theres nobody to partner wellens. People are starting to question hendry already which is a shame. I must admit though, if you thought we defended bad last season, you should have seen Blackpool against wigan! I couldnt believe my eyes. -

Not a chance! Daylight robbery that place. I sometimes go down if we arent playing and im bored but its a nightmare. Went to their friendly against wigan last sunday and it was like watching a pub team. £12 to get in!!! And Blackpool lost 5-0! I was gutted when hendry took that job, its a poisoned chalice! -

I dont think the irish fellas were too impressed with your improvisation of the burnley inbred song! aka 'you irish scum' That was a 'move away from this guy slowly' moment -

After an impressive pre-season im afraid were going to be disapointed with a frustrating 1-1 draw. Emerton and Kanu to score. The baggies will be well up for this one with a massive following. Megson has strengthened his squad with some good players who have premiership experience. The ewood park nightmare continues. Enckleman Neill Amoruso Matteo Gray Emerton Thompson Ferguson De pedro Stead Dickov subs, yelldell, gresko, yorke, tugay, gallagher This is assuming friedel still injured. -

I was 100% sober at the game after a major session in dublin on friday night! And yes you was all very drunk, was funny. Every 5 mins someone fell over and nearly pushed me down the hill. The funniest moment was the rovers fan who started chasing the young irish lad in the united top! The poor lad ran a mile! -

Ok i disagree with everyone. Dwight Yorke has done well the last 2 games, he has worked very hard, could have done with a bit more luck yesterday but i was happy with him, especially first half. Im also sure dickov will be more than capable of forming a good partnership with stead. He runs the channels, he looks for the ball instead of waiting for it to come to him, he makes himself available on either side of the pitch and can score goals. Cole has gone, get over it, yes he was our top scorer but he didnt get on with the manager, therefore no point in him staying. I can assure you we will get more out of dickov this season than we would cole. As for the matteo situation, i still think defence but he has done ok in midfield and its only a friendly, this is where things get tried out, people are reading too much into it. I also havent seen anyone give reid credit for a really good first half yesterday. Some great defending and good play going forward.
-
Jansen played and scored at morecambe yesterday. Didnt know about the hospital, im guessing reid, looked to pick up a nasty knock and went off injured.
-
Your entitled to your opinion but dickov reid and Yorke all had good first halfs!! I agree reid was back to his worst 2nd half but for a pre-season game i thought they did well. Reid did some excellent defending 1st half and looked ok going forward. Yorke held the ball up well and i even saw him back in defence! Dickov made some good runs and linked up well with stead. Also i think there was something in the region of 2000 rovers fans, probably just under.
-
Just got back.. tiresome game, preston looked good to me fitness wise although i suppose they are a week ahead of us. Rovers looked very tired towards the end. First half we played well, particulary reid, dickov and yorke. Unfortunately reid didnt carry this onto the 2nd half and im still very unsure about him. Yorke 2nd half, i wasnt too disapointed but it was quite annoying when he has space to run and he just turns round with his back to goal. Stead and Dickov im almost positive will start the season. They look very impressive to me as a partnership, as i expected, Dickov is putting alot of effort in andmaking some good runs, stead had some excellent touches today. Matteo did ok but he has to be played in defence, come on souey! Fair enough he can fill the gap if we get injuries but hes a defender! A few bad passes from him today but i do rate him. Enckleman looked comfortable all be it for a few heart attacks when getting back passes. Amo and Nissa did alright after a shaky start. Nissa i think looks to nervous on the ball, this makes me nervous and id rather have matteo there with amo. Gray played well, seems to have picked up from last season. Barry looks like hes getting his fitness back quickly, give it a few more games and im sure we will see him doing what he does best, i.e box to box. Flitcroft - we need to get rid of him. I know its harsh and hes still a good player but id rather he left. I doubt hes gonna get much of a look in starting wise when we have tugay and souey seems to be preparing for a barry/thommo partnership. We do need flitty in the squad but im sure he wont be happy with that role. He didnt look happy at all today and he took his frustration out on a pne player with a stupid tackle, then got booked. This could eventually cost us. Overall im pleased, confidence boosting win yet again, still not conceded!!! Good that barry/amo/yorke/matteo etc all got 90 mins aswell fitness wise.
